The Passenger Hostel

O pior hostel que eu já fiquei na minha vida. A instalação é tenebrosa, os quartos são horríveis e os banheiros piores ainda. A recepcionista era muito perdida, entregamos uma nota de 50 euros na mão dela e passados alguns segundos ela veio nos cobrar novamente. Um absurdo.

Una estafa total. EL AGUA CALIENTE NO FUNCIONA. LITERAS DE 3 NIVELES, HAY QUE SUBIR 3 METROS PARA ENCONTRAR TU CAMA. HACEN EVENTOS SUPERUIDOSOS Y CUANDO RECLAMAS SE ENCOGEN DE HOMBROS Y NO TE DEVUELVEN EL DINERO POR UN SERVICIO QUE NO HAN PRESTADO. OBLIGARTEA DUCHARTE CON AGUA FRÍA A 16 GRADOS POR 45 EUROS LA NOCHE ES UNA ESTAFA. HUIR. TRAMPA PARA TURISTAS.

The pub crawl wasent good considering we paid 15 euros

The rooms are a sweat box. You have to sleep with the windows open because there’s no ventilation, the fans on the beds don’t do anything, and then you get eaten by mosquitos. The rooms need air con in 35 degree heat and ten people sleeping in one room. There’s construction surrounding the building so it’s very noisy. Other than having no sleep everything else was nice.

Bed was extremely uncomfy, girl in the room next said she got bed bugs. Was really loud outside, so if you’re looking for good sleep don’t go here. Bathrooms are nice and there’s free breakfast

Pretty average hostel. Good location and comfy beds, but 3 bunks high so the top bunk is really high. Kitchen is closed til like 8:30 each morning which is annoying when you want to eat your own breakfast in the morning. Staff were not very friendly. Overall not bad but not my favourite.

This was a nice hostel in a good location. The private room was very large. The facilities were all nice and security was advanced. Unfortunately we felt the price was expensive for what we received especially since it’s a hostel. The shared bathrooms were accessible but the showers were small and did not have an attached individual changing area. You also had to put down a deposit for towels even with a private room. Although the room was lovely we didn’t feel like it was worth the price.

To be honest, we spent very little time in the hostel due to unforeseen circumstances (less than an hour between us both), however, be that as it may, we base our comments on our impressions from this limited experience. The reception ‘team’ consisted of an individual, on whose attention we were obliged to wait until he was available. No WiFi code was provided, no towelWe were in a hurry to leave again after checking in but couldn’t master the simple, electric ‘keys’ to lock or roo...

The female staff was difficult to communicate with. I booked at 7am just as a precaution and managed to find a flight and called to cancel around 11am, they refused and I had to stay the night as to not lose the money I'd paid. Hostelworld was extremely unhelpful and there was zero efforts to understand how female solo travelers feel. After midnight the kitchen and shared lounge at the top floor was closed which doesn't serve at all for solo travelers who would prefer safety over nightlife.

I traveled thousands of miles from the USA to Porto only to stay with almost all fellow Americans who acted like the hostel was a fraternity party. The lack of cultural diversity was disappointing.

Absolutely loved my time here and the volunteers and the friends I made! The location is top tier!!!!!!! Really really noisy sometimes which is frustrating and some of the staff can be moody I feel like is the best way to put it. But, the experience, good people and location really make it top tier!

An amazing hostel that nails all the basics (clean bathrooms, curtains on dorm bunks etc) but is made by an amazing group of volunteers and good social events. Would recommend for any solo traveller.

Ultra cool hostel, it’s literally in the train station. It has such a good vibe and is very social, and everything is super clean. 100% would recommend.

Es un lugar bonito en estación de tren. A pocos metros de estación del metro . Súper central a todo , por las obras uno se puede perder poco. Me encanta que el baño esté por fuera de la habitación . Es un muy buen lugar

I had a lovely stay at Passenger. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and I met some other lovely people. The breakfast and dinners were a great bonus and the place is very clean. My only preferences would have been if there had been some more private toilets (just an open row of cubicles) and if the ladders to the bunks could have been a bit more comfortable (metal bars hurt slightly). Please bear in mind there does not appear to be any air conditioning in the rooms also. Would come back!

I had an amazing time! This was my first solo trip and first time staying in a hostel and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had while in Portugal. Everyone I met was so friendly and the passenger was very clean and welcoming. Felt like home!

This hostel is sick! The fact that it’s in a train station alone makes it super interesting, the property felt safe, everyone was super friendly and there is a lot of space outside of rooms for people to enjoy/work in. The staff was super accommodating and the bathrooms were super nice.

J’ai adoré sejourner dans cet hostel, de loin un de mes preferer que j’ai fais. Le personnel est accueillant et chaleureux, l’emplacement est impecable et l’endroit est propre. 11/10 🫶🏼

Great place to stay, locker was initially faulty but they came and fixed it right away, and staff gave great recommendations on bakeries in the city! 10/10
