Nueva España Hostel

this hostel just isn’t worth it. the mattress of my bunk bed is the worst i have slept on in a hostel. there is no secure place to leave luggage at all. there is no employee around for most of the day, so when you arrive you’ll be left outside the door. this place needs a lot of work; i recommend a hotel nearby instead.

Check In war schwierig und mussten länger warten bis überhaupt jemand kam. Dann war das Hostel sehr schmutzig. Die Toilette war voll mit Scheiße und in der Kaffeemaschine war verschimmelter Kaffee. Generell kümmert sich niemand wirklich um das Hostel.

Do not stay here. Shower has a glass door so everyone will see everything whilst you shower. The rooms are boiling, we would have paid anything for a bit of AC, it wasn’t very clean, they have a ‘pool’ but it wasn’t it’s a paddling pool that I wouldn’t have got into even if you paid me. Thankfully we only booked 1 night and stayed elsewhere for the rest of our time in la Unión, just stay anywhere other than here.

it does the job for one night, but overall I think they really need to do some work on the facilities- toilets and showers were dirty and small. Nice big kitchen. The dorm without AC was super hot

Only real option in la union. Did the job but wouldn’t really want to go back.

En condiciones Generales, el Hostal esta regular .... Lo que deben poner mucha atención es en la limpieza del lugar, los baños están muy mal y las áreas comunes igual. No me volvería a quedar aquí.

Good location, but no ac and it was unbearably hot. The kitchen wasn’t clean and the toilet/ shower situation isn’t good there is just one cubicle for both and you have to walk through the shower to get to the toilet which meant it smelt like toilet in the shower. Also you have to call when you arrive to open the door - we didn’t have a sim so couldn’t do this. Staff weren’t at the property but were nice and helpful when we did see them.

Definitely the dingiest hostel I stayed in but the owners were kind enough to let me check in 2 hours early free of charge. The kitchen was clean and decent. Not a lot of options in La Union but if you can avoid it. Only stayed here to get the boat to Nicaragua in the morning.

this hostel is probable just used for transit by most people so there is very little atmosphere. the rooms were super hot when I was there. everything else was okay but not great

für eine Nacht war es total in Ordnung

le seul hostel de la ville alors.. pas trop le choix mdr. la cuisine est ok. le truc fun ? c'est que dans l'espace commun avec table pour sociabiliser, deux douches et un toilette donne directement la, avec un simple rideau pour fermer, c'était drôle :p. Le personnel un peu nonchalant, aucune atmosphère ou ambiance, mais ça passe, hostel basique quoi

Prima voor een nachtje. in Union is weinig te beleven. Maar het hostel is oke. Er is een keuken aanwezig. Wel weinig wc’s en douches en die waren niet heel schoon.

Entrance is odd and confusing

Javier is super super helpful and polite. He really goes above and beyond to assist you. I had problems getting there from El Cuco in the evening and he helped me organised a taxi. The private room with AC was excellent and the kitchen was well equipped. Tho the bathrooms really disappoint. Dirty and the bin was constantly overflowing. Needs a bigger bin or more regular cleaning. Tiny tiny wastebin that was only emptied once a day but was shared between more than 30 guests.

bon rapport qualité prix. le proprio nous a bcp aidé en répondant à nos questions sur le ferry, el spiritu de la montaña, les banques pour faire un retrait... la clim dans notre chose est top avec la chaleur qui régnait dans la ville pdt notre séjour

Good kitchen, great ac in the private room but the toilet isnt great and the toilet paper bin wasnt emptied for a while. Worst part was that you have to rely on guests to get in to the hostal before 2pm if you havent checked in.

Passable pour une nuit. Toilettes et douche à l’extérieur fermées par un rideau Il faisait très très chaud dans le dortoir où il n’y avait que des ventilos Néanmoins c’est sécurisé et proche du phare. Parfait aussi pour un départ au mirador

For a hostel, it’s a pretty good one! Staff is not used to handle check-ins so expect a little wait when you arrive… They offered towels which was great. But there’s no staff in the grounds of the hostel… which is weird?

Très bon hostel, pas beaucoup d'autres choix sur La Union de toute façon. Cuisine bien équipée et espaces communs assez grands et agréable Le personnel est très rarement sur place, pas pratique pour le check-in ou si on a des questions !

Great hosrel, lors of outdoor space and big dorm with mosquito nets on the windows. Good kitchen and no freezing showers. Fantastic location. Free cold water and coffee. 😊 Will be back!

It’s fine! Only real hostel in La union, effective enough for one night. The big issue I faced was since they don’t have a single full time staff member, no one was there to let me in (& there’s a no-knocking sign on the door) and I texted in advance and still ended up waiting with my bags on a hot day for 30 minutes. So text in advance!!

Nueva espana, a cheap hostel, a good kitchen, very central, close to the Pick up point for the Camping, small but good private rooms

This was a great spot for one night however didn’t really feel like a hostel as the communal areas aren’t that great. Also think the kitchen could do with some more facilities to cook properly. No consistent staff so had to wait a bit, but he came pretty quickly so that was a bonus.
