The biggest waste of money of my life, I thought prison was free??? 16 bed dorm should never be this expensive, especially when the entire property is covered in a layer of sand and the beds are shoved in the middle of the room with no curtains. There are absolutely NO common areas, so they’ve put a table and chairs in the middle of the dorm for people to drink, eat and be loud in the middle of the night RIGHT next to the beds??l You can’t access the water when the gym is closed. The place had a nice gym. However, there was no place where you could sit outside or even hang out. Furthermore the rooms were very basic with only a very small bed in the private room. It says online that there is airconditioning, but there was only a ceiling fan. The place is located in a surf town, but there is no place to store the surfboards overnight. Finally, the kitchen was quite dirty.

Pretty poor to be honest. Air conditioning in the room was the only positive. There is absolutely no social area which means everyone has to hang out in the dormitory. Probably the worst I’ve stayed in during our travels. Another thing to note is there is not access to drinkable water when the gym is closed.

I didn’t enjoy my stay. It’s more likely a gym which just have beds upstairs.

Airconditioning is on a ridiculously low temperature so you will leave here with a cold. $18 for 16 people crammed together in a dorm, no filtered water available

The hostel could use a bit more coziness, there was an unpleasant smell coming from the toilets, and the check-in process wasn’t very clear. wouldn’t come back. The location was fine.

It’s one of those places you choose when everything else is booked up but does the job. It’s large rooms above a gym and has what you need, but don’t expect it to be super social, it feels much more like a hotel where people are just coming and going.

Good location and free access to the gym and it’s a decent gym. I stayed in private room for a week. Didn’t realise it was fan only and you have to pay $10 a night for the ac, paid for the ac but it made no difference and only blows hot air, the room was an oven all day everyday even with “ac” Shared kitchen was not clean so avoided using it. Fine place to stay if you have no where else and just want to surf but wasn’t a pleasant experience.

Great location near the beach, nice clean beds, clean bathrooms. Kitchen kinda dirty, small no common spaces. Reception is rarely open but it works especially if you like surfing and the gym! The management was responsive but not very helpful. Overall good, the 16 bed dorm is a lot.

The hostel is okay if you want to use the gym but other than that I would not recommend it. The security in the hostel is very questionable, you can walk straight from the street into the dorms, randoms were in the rooms 2/4 of my nights not from the hostel. There is not one door locked so anyone off the street can walk straight in at night. I brought all this up with the hostel and they just laughed and said ‘yeah a drunk person could come in’. Kitchen is a mess and no oil to cook with.

Comfortable bed and clean, nice to use the gym. It was quite loud and we had a few nights with music blaring

I loved my stay in this hostel! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The beds are very comfortable, the AC is great and the rooms were clean. The gym is amazing and it’s free for guests. The location is also perfect, just a short walk to the beach and also close to the restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed getting to use the gym for free. Ac was strong in the bedrooms which was good. Not super social and kitchen was a bit messy. Bathrooms very clean though as well as rooms. Would stay here again

The gym was amazing! It’s super close to the beach and the staff were amazing. It was also kept very clean. The showers didn’t have much pressure but they do have an outdoor one you can use if you need to get the sand out of your hair quickly

İt is a very nice hostel. Big rooms, kitchen facilites. I only complain about the shower. They need to change it. Overall it was a nice stay

Amazing hostel in great location. Was very social and had activities on the weekends. Such a good set up in the gym which you can use for free. Owners are also so lovely!

Really nice hostel with AC all day, a nice kitchen, and a free gym for guests. There’s no social atmosphere, but it’s a nice place to sleep. Main complaint is no curtains on the beds

The hostel is fairly new. It is above a gym, so if your'e into getting a work out in, this place will be great. It is not far from restaurants, the beach and the main road. There is a cleaning staff that maintains it daily. The kitchen is well equipped. The bathrooms and showers are big. I enjoyed my stay that I decided to extend it. It is mostly quiet, compared to a typical hostel. But you can still meet people at the gym or the restaurant downstairs. It felt like a home and not a hostel.

Muy bien ubicado, las camas cómodas pero sin privacidad, no tienen cortinas. Un punto a su favor es que tiene el gimnasio a disposición para los guests del hostel. No hay staff propio del hostal, sólo los que manejan el gimnasio. Si algo se malogra no hay con quién resolverlo.

We loved this hostel! We stayed in the dorm and despite it being a max of 16, it feels spacious and it is cleaned every day. The AC and cold water dispenser is amazing in hot El Tunco. The use of the gym is such an added perk because it's so well kitted out. The staff are friendly, it's a one minute walk to the beach and a shop. Perfect location, highly recommend!

These guys are great, they are creating a safe and comfortable space in a great location. facilities are clean and the free gym use is a big benefit if that's what you're into but not necessary to stay here. The owners are passionate about creating a good space and you can see that.

Great hostel! Very clean, new hostel with a gym downstairs that’s free for guests. Great location a couple minutes walk from the beach and the restaurants. There’s a brand new hangout place outside on the property to chill with other guests. Has a kitchen, beds are comfortable and the staff are very friendly! Be aware of the reception opening times, but I had no problem checking in at 19:30 after sending them a message. Definitely recommend staying here!

Great hostel aircon is really good and on throughout the day. Having gym included is a massive plus

Great if you’re looking for a chill place to sleep. The facilities don’t really lend themselves to being social but they are very well kept and clean. Dos Palmas is right across the street and you could easily go over there and hang out. AC in the rooms are great and the showers/bathrooms are incredibly clean.
