+ looked cute from the outside

- did not stay at the accomodation, obviously didn’t understand the room configuration of the guest house! did not stay, did not get a good feel having to share a house with others even though had a separate room. No TV at all in the house and small reception area. no option to get money back, read carefully before booking

+ La ubicación está bien, con mucho sitio para aparcar. La cocina y baños también están bien.

- La habitación era muy húmeda. Las sábanas estaban un poco mojadas y nuestra ropa ha terminado estando mojada también. No era confortable. Por otro lado, de noche se escucha mucho si entra o sale alguien de las habitaciones de al lado.

+ Schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten draußen, Gemeinschaftsräume und Küche gut eingerichtet.

- Einrichtung sehr alt und zusammen gewürfelt, viele farb. Kleckse auf dem Boden, schlechtes wlan, Lüftung und Licht im Bad nicht ausschaltbar. Das Haus ist super hellhörig und schlecht isoliert. Wir hatten nicht gesehen, dass Kinder nicht erwünscht sind und wurden deshalb fast aus dem Hostel geworden.

- I do not recommend this place to anyone who is a light sleeper. The rooms are very poorly soundproofed - you can hear people walking, talking, slamming doors, and even washing dishes or banging pots. I had a room next to the kitchen, and guests using it did not respect quiet hours. I didn't get a good sleep there.

+ Good location, easy check-in practical if you are on a budget.

- No soundproofing at all - prepare to use the earplugs provided Beds are outdated

+ Cute and quirky. Easy to walk to from Karoomba station. The common areas are kept clean. I enjoyed chilling on the comfy sofa on the outdoor deck. I would come back.

+ The house has a lot of character, and still has a lot of the original features. The kitchen is nice and efficient - everyone has their own clearly marked areas.

- Felt very impersonal. I didn't deal with a staff member at any stage, instead just working off the automated emails. Also, not really their fault, but just something to watch out for - I got phishing emails claiming they were from the property.

+ Communication, Location, good bathroom amenities, nice beds, lots of small practical stuffs (usb plugs on the wall for each bunk bed, miniature fans for each bunk bed, etc)

- Lounge and dining room feel rather squished to my taste

+ The house is lovely, each night a fire going. The room was cosy and comfortable and a nice space. Kitchen is well equipped and plenty of shared facilities. This is my second time staying here, I really enjoy it. Easy to check in and out and can walk (little hill) into town

+ So cozy and family vibe. Such a good kitchen and living area. Free milk and cereal was such a nice bonus!

+ I loved my stay! It's definitely the best place with dorm rooms to stay in Katoomba. The owner is so friendly, helpful and kind. The free all-day breakfast, including soy milk (and other milks), was a pleasant surprise. There are plenty of seating areas inside and outside to eat meals. Many books on the shelves. Many pictures of the surrounding areas and wildlife. I really appreciated the room/bed specific tray on the shelf for dry food, and the cloth bag for chilled food. The bed was super comfortable. You don't have to pay for a towel.

- The only downside was that we had to use matches to light the gas stoves, but that was just a minor inconvenience.

+ It was such a cozy accomodation, one could immediately feel relaxed after arrival. Very well organisied, from check-in procedure to kitchen equipment. I loved how there was created space in the kitchen / fridge for every room / dorm bed - so helpful! I would definitely love to come back!
