It’s cheap here but you can get similar priced accommodation in the area that isn’t so bad. We got taken to a 20 bed dorm when we’d booked 3 beds in a 6 bed room and got moved to an empty 10 bed after complaining. The bedding in our room was really dirty and stained, and I found fleas in my bed. The aircon was broken and the window onto the balcony was broken so didn’t feel secure. We checked out 2 days early. They offer free beer in exchange for positive reviews which is a red flag...
The guy working there couldn’t speak English and yelled at people. Very unfriendly and our room wasn’t even available so we had to leave. Don’t recommend!
If I could I would give this hostel 0 stars. We arrived to the owner fighting with a guest, and had to wait 40min to be told that there were no beds. He then said we could sleep on the top bunks which had no mattresses and only cardboard. We decided to leave and asked for our deposit back but he refused saying that it is an imposter on hostel world and not him. He just had overbooked the hostel and refused to give us the deposit back.
No WiFi, cold water, rationed breakfast.
L’hostel est apparemment en rénovation, je pense que c’est une bonne chose. Le personnel est très sympa et rend service. Par contre, ma chambre est restée ouverte en permanence, et mon lit n’avait ni prise ni lumière… il n’y avait que deux toilette/douche pour tout le grand dortoir.
The hostel is apparently under renovation, I think that's a good thing. the staff is very friendly and helpful. however, my room remained open permanently, and my bed had no outlet or light... there were only two toilets/shower for the whole large dormitory.
Overall, the hostel is acceptable, but I think the beds are really terrible. There is basically no mattress, it’s extremely thin and very uncomfortable. I slept really badly. For one night it might be fine, but if you plan to stay longer, it becomes a big problem. The beds are something basic that should be done well. At the very least, the bed should be comfortable, and in this case it really isn’t.
Very strange hostel I’m not sure why the reviews were so high. The mattress is the thickness of a short book and is on a wooden plank. The bunk beds felt very unstable. The male worker kept coming in unannounced to female dorm to ‘check’ on bed availability? No plugs except from an extension cord on one persons bed and one lamp but in someone’s bunk. Just go somewhere else and get a proper bed.

A little disappointed with this hostel, very little social because no common areas available, pool shared with another hotel and no sun lounger to set up by the pool. comparing the prices of the activities and services offered it is a little more expensive than elsewhere. simple dorms, cleanliness ok. the only plus is lebalcon
They give you a free beer or discounted extended stay if you leave a good review which is kind of telling. We were in a bungalow and it was pretty grim - they moved us to a different room which was better. We had 3 different towels during our stay, all of them were filthy, one of them was just a fleece blanket. There were ants everywhere and our stuff on the balcony nearly got nicked by 2 baby monkeys so watch out for that. The main guy at reception was nice though.
The hostel position is good, quiet and everything in vang Vieng is super close. The staff has been ok and supported me in buying the ticket for minivan to go to Vientiane. I found the room not that clean - sheets with stains, hair everywhere on the bathroom floor,..for the price I could have booked a better accommodation somewhere else

This hostel is cheap and includes free breakfast. That being said, I booked 3 nights and left after 1. I booked an 8 bed dorm but there were 10 beds crammed into the room with only a thin curtain/tarp separating what were practically attached beds. The beds themselves were extremely creaky and unstable, they were so noisy that you couldn’t move without the dorm hearing about it, the pillows were lumpy and flat. We told the staff and they said they’d give us a refund if we left a good review.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The location is great and easy to get around, and the atmosphere is super friendly and relaxed. The staff were helpful and the place was clean and comfortable. The rooms have balconies with amazing views. It’s a nice spot to meet other travelers and feel at home while traveling. Highly recommended!

Best hostel of my travels in Laos!! Very clean, good and very helpful staff and the breakfast buffet is insane! It is very central and offers many services!! Perfect!! Worth the price!!

For £5 a night this hostel was fine however we did have some issues. We booked a 8 person dorm but were in a 20 bed room that connected into another 20 bed room and only had 1 toilet/shower. The toilet and shower are in the same room so only 1 person can use both and the toilet gets soaked whenever someone showers. Breakfast was available but it was pretty miserable and rubbish if you’re veggie. You can book tours which is good. The hostel give free beers for good reviews so don’t trust the...
Central location, good price, decent breakfast, spaceous, good laundry service No lockers (unless you pay for them…), not suitable for socializing
Everywhere was constantly kept clean and bins emptied, balcony out back was lovely for watching sunset and balloons, beds were very spacious😁

Nice enough for the price, and the balconies in the rooms are nice. The beds aren’t great and breakfast isn’t the best. Not very social
