Akali Hostel and Surf House

- This review is based on the condition of the dorms. If you are considering another room i think its ok but the dorms are in not condition for guests. The room dont have window and all the rain from past months made it very damp. The amount of dust in it was too much especially on the vents above the bed. The mattress was also not comfortable at all. You can feel all the springs of the mattress... I had a really bad night there. I hope the other rooms are better.

- Se notaba que la ropa de cama estaba sucia, el cuarto olía horrible por un huésped (tienen que tener mejor control con ello ya que es un lugar común y puede ser bastante incómodo) uno sabe que es un hostal pero considero que si se debe de tener más cuidado por la experiencia de los demás ya que era un olor insoportable, los baños la mayoría del tiempo estaban sucios y las regaderas igual.

- Loud and no walls so didn't get much sleep. Smelt of cigarettes a lot of time.

- You need a sign on your door. Your property can't easily be found if the front door is closed because your sign can't be see from outside.

+ The upstairs palapa was spacious with a beautiful patio. the bed was comfortable.

- The hotel is located centrally, perhaps too centrally. The boys congregated outside by the Kiosko to party until midnight . After that when things quieted down, sleeping was good. The staircase up to the palapa has a corner of the roof of the adjoining building hanging into the landing. this makes for a tricky turn halfway up.

+ Los dueños son muy agradables y atentos. Nos han ayudado con todo. La habitación doble en la que nos quedamos un par de noches está muy bien amueblada, con baño propio y con aire acondicionado. El WiFi funciona muy bien y las zonas comunes están muy bien. Además tiene alrededor muchos cafés y restaurantes y estás a 7 mins andando a la playa.

- La primera noche dormimos en el bungalow. El espacio es espectacular con baño, cocina y patio privado. Nos encantó. El único tema a tener en cuenta es que el techo es una palaba y por lo tanto no hay aislamento del ruido de la calle. Por lo general, San Pancho es muy tranquilo y relajado pero ocasionalmente los vecinos deciden poner la música a tope y la verdad que puede molestar un poco. Al comentarlo con los dueños enseguida ofrecieron soluciones y la verdad que estamos muy agradecidos!

+ La ubicacion esta perfecta a unas calles de la playa, el lugar es tranquilo y tiene lo necesario para descansar, el precio es fantastico, viaje por trabajo y lo recomiendo.

- La senal del wifi era muy poca en los cuartos del la parte del hostal en todas las demas partes estuvo muy bien.

- Can be loud at night from the street. Bring ear plugs.

+ Me encantó el lugar, es una excelente opción si buscas precio, calidad y cercanía a todo lo bueno que hay en San Pancho. Todas las actividades nocturnas y diurnas, la playa y las tiendas te quedan a unos pasos. La vibra del lugar y la gente fue muy agradable!!

+ El ambiente en el hostal fue muy agradable y relajado

- El baño de la habitación, sin cortina lo que encharca todo el baño. Además de fuga de agua en el excusado, y sin ventilación. Hormigas y cucarachas.

+ El lugar está en el centro de San Pancho a unos minutos caminando a la playa, un lugar limpio, agradable, acogedor, no hay tv, hay aire acondicionado y ventilador, me encantó, solo la habitación 1 tenía un olor desagradable. Los chicos de recepción muy amables, altamente recomendable 👌

+ Me gustó mucho la atención del personal del hostel y también la ubicación muy cerca de la playa.

+ The location was awesome..close to everything! They supply you with drinking water which is great.The staff there were super helpful and cleaned and gave us clean towels when we wanted.The bed was comfortable. We stayed in the standard apartment.

- The cooking utensils were not great they could use some replacements.

+ Très bien placé, dans le centre et à 5 min de la plage, mais dans une petite rue calme Les chambres individuelles sont vraiment très agréables et propres Pour avoir essayé les différents dortoirs de San Pancho, celui ci est selon moi clairement le meilleur et pour le même prix. J’y suis restée plus de 2 semaines Staff très très sympa

+ Kinda traditional and rustic but very clean and only steps from cafes and restaurants. The beds in the dorms are like lil pod rooms with a bit of space by your bed. Nice little courtyard to chill. Staff where so lovey and welcoming. Very clean

- Smelled a bit damp in the dorm room. It's got skylights but pretty enclosed and a traditional building. Still think its the best bang for buck and location for a hostel in san pancho

- It was a pretty small shared kitchen, which discouraged me from using it if there was another person in there. If you plan to cook your own meals, consider timing and space usage.
