Lazy Roo Hostel

I don’t recommend this hostel: the kitchen is extremely rudimentary, lacking of many essential. The whole vibes of the hostel, the common area and the people staying there, everything felt off and not enjoyable. There is only one bathroom per floor making it hard to have access to it at all and the shower doesn’t have curtain so all the water just splash all over the restroom. On the plus side, the rooms were clean and well taken care off.

Bathrooms are terrible and way too few. There is no A/C which is an issue. On the positive side, very social and great vibes. Staff is very friendly.

Admittedly we did book in shoulder season but there was no atmosphere (no one staying there) and there was never any staff around to help with questions/ check out/ leave luggage etc. Wouldn’t recommend for solo travellers in off season. The volunteer cleaner was lovely though.

The breakfast wasn’t great and there was no kettle to boil hot water for t/c. The cooker that was there was unsafe.

The facilities are good, and you have a nice view from the rooftop and the balcony. Staff was friendly. However, the bathrooms were always busy and dirty. Theres no aircon, just fans. Overall its not too bad, just the bathrooms were quite gross.

An sich war das Hostel okay, sehr einfach gehalten. Die Küche leider nicht besonders sauber und nur etwas eingerichtet. Es gab nur ein Badezimmer pro Etage (ca.20 Leute pro Etage) und außerdem war es immer nass und dreckig. Das Personal wirkte etwas unorganisiert, aber trotzdem sehr freundlich. Außerdem war das Hostel überbucht und eine in unserem Zimmer musste auf einer Matratze auf dem Boden schlafen.

Not a bad place to stay for a few nights, I stayed 3 nights at the end of April. There were maybe 5 people total so the atmosphere was lacking, the bar wasn’t yet up and running and no hostel activities. Felt really safe in Saranda so I’m thinking that’s why there wasn’t much security (no locks on doors etc). Free breakfast is good but basic (cereal, bread), would be nice if there was coffee. Mirrors and curtains in the rooms would make a difference. Beautiful balcony/rooftop! Best sunse...

L’hostel est idéalement placé en hauteur avec une vue magnifique ! Le propriétaire est très gentil et très arrangeant / flexible. Nous sommes venus en octobre donc l’hostel était vide de voyageurs malheureusement. Peut être que les sanitaires et la cuisine auraient pu être plus propre … Mais sinon très bien pour une étape d’un voyage en back pack :)

My stay at Lazy Roo was fantastic. Big rooms and amazing views,also the pub crawl they make was awesome !!!

Great hostel with clean rooms, beautiful views, and very clean bathrooms. The staff and volunteers were super friendly and always ready to help. Comfortable atmosphere and great value

Had a really great stay at the hostel! My bed was comfortable, with a beautiful view to the sea and AC. The bathrooms were always clean, and the atmosphere was very social. SHOUT OUT for the volunteers and staff that were extremely kind, helpful, and always ready to help with anything. I would totally come bacl!!!

wonderful and very helpful staff, convenient location, if i were to come to saranda again i would always choose this hostel to stay. I recommend it!

Super expérience au Lazy Roo Hostel ! Franchement rien à redire : l’ambiance est top, les espaces sont propres et agréables, parfait pour se détendre ou rencontrer du monde. Le gros point fort, c’est clairement le staff : super sympa, toujours disponible et prêt à aider peu importe la demande. On se sent tout de suite à l’aise, comme à la maison. Je recommande à 100 %, que ce soit pour un court ou long séjour. J’y retournerai sans hésiter !

A good all round experience, friendly helpful staff and volunteers, breakfast was more than adequate to fuel up for the day. Location for me was great close to all amenities, promenade, and transport links, awesome view from the rooftop:) If I’m ever back in Sarandë would stay here again.

I really liked the place; it’s well located near the sea and easily accessible to many shops

the hostel has a common kitchen and also a free breakfast, this was the best option when i compared with other hostels in town. The owner was very friendly and gave information about busses to all the places in Albania and also to Greece.
