Staff were very weird and it’s the dirtiest hostel I’ve stayed in. Got “upgraded” to a private because the dorm beds didn’t have mattresses. Room was gross, had a weird crust all over the floor and was full of bugs and spiders. Sheets had stains on them, windows were broken, and had room had no fans. Choice was to have the windows open with bugs, or closed and be sweaty. Filtered water stations were empty and the shower broke while I was in it. Checked out a day early cause of how gros...
Worst hostel I have stayed in around the lake (out of 4). Rooms were dark and dirty, had bad air circulation, too few outlets for the number of beds, and the beds are all connected together in a metal frame with flimsy wooden boards inbetween which makes every turn or move from any guest be felt from every bed in the dorm. The breakfast is definitely not worth the price when compared to restaurants around the town. The hostel is supposed to be a party hostel, or at least the owner wants it to be...
Very confused that this hostel is rated 9.2 stars. Bedrooms: no large lockers for bags, 2 charging ports for 6 beds, mattresses super janky, no sheet provided for one of our friends, stained bedding. Bathroom: shared boys/girls, 3 toilets/3 showers, clogged showers with hair/gunk, cold water. Breakfast: hair in eggs, cold gritty coffee, utensils soiled and gross, wet stained napkins. Staff: manager let out a huge wet fart as we were leaving one day and did not address is at all. Dog crap galore.
The hostel is still very new and currently still rather functional (e.g. wacklige Beds, no Ablagen im Zimmer or Bad, Wlan-Ausfälle). but it has a lot of Potential and a great price-performance ratio.
Nice place, rooms are clean and beds are comfy, but the showers are rank
This is a fine place to stay but I imagine it’s going to get much better when it’s more finished. Not super social but you can easily go hang out at Free Cerveza and Iguana, then return to peace and quiet at Nawal. Staff is great. Breakfast is good. Bathrooms were clean enough but not the nicest. No hot water but that’s Atitlan I think. Excited for the place to improve and grow. It seems like the only one in Santa Cruz that isn’t owned by gringos so it’s good to support it!
This is a new hostel. It has a few things going for it. Among them a roof. It was amazing to watch the New Year's fireworks up there. There is some signage that is needed (ie the cost of breakfast if you choose to have it.), and a few smaller bugs that need to be worked on. That said, the owner is a passionate guy, the staff is great, and the faciliities are solid. It's worth going to, and I imagine it will only get better in the months to come.
We loved our stay here! The owner is so kind and attentive, gave us a private room quickly when my friend became ill. There’s lots of cute dogs around and the breakfasts are delish. Must stay!!
Séjour agréable, accueil sympathique. Hostel a fort potentiel pour développer les espaces extérieur, rooftop, lieu commun pour relaxer. Bon rapport qualité/prix
Hostel has a strong potential to develop the outdoor spaces, rooftop, common place to relax. good quality/price ratio
The staff was so kind and welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed! The property was so peaceful and a short walk to the lake & rest of the hostels in Santa Cruz for more socializing.

had a great stay here, prices very reasonable and lovely balcony! the only downside for me was that the kitchen was late to open when we were leaving and had to leave all my food inside, but overall great place
The hostel was basic and clean. It’s very quiet and peaceful. Perfect if you’re looking for a good nights sleep! Close to the nearby party hostels so you can get the best of both worlds.

El hospedaje es super limpio y se puede llegar caminando desde el muelle. El personal es muy alegre, cálido y cercano. La pasé muy bien y me sentí segura todo el tiempo. Super recomiendo el lugar, es acogedor y tiene lo necesario.
The hostel is super clean and can be reached on foot from the pier. the staff is very cheerful, warm and friendly. i had a great time and felt safe all the time. super recommend the place, it is cozy and has everything i need.
Owner is lovely, nice quiet spot to unwind but also close to action at Free Cerveza, rooftop is lovely, 10/10
Nice hostel and the staff were lovely. The breakfast was so nice and not expensive. Only downside was the walk up to the hostel from the main area of Santa Cruz was pretty rocky and difficult to do at night

I absolutely loved this place! The owner was really helpful and understanding. He gave us great local recommendations and had good music playing. The rooftop is a great plus too. :)

The host partied with us and provided darts
Best hostel in Santa Cruz for the value and accommodations. Super friendly staff, delicious breakfast, chill atmosphere but definitely not boring. Book now this hostel is up and coming.
Really nice place most of the events are in the hostels few minutes walk from them But you got nice facilities, and the owner is really nice and like to party Also really good brakefast for 40 kzl
This hostel is absolutely amazing. The owner is incredibly kind and truly goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable and well taken care of. He is very accommodating and always ready to help with anything you need. The hostel itself is beautiful, very clean, and well maintained. The location is also perfect , close to everything but still calm and relaxing. I had a wonderful stay here and would 100% recommend this place to anyone. I would definitely come back!
