Viajero Paracas Hostel

Just as I was getting into bed a cockroach crawled across my pillow. After a back and forth the manager agreed to let me move into a different dorm. Second room same problem. Third room had an ants nest. I chose the lesser of the evils and slept with the ants. Pool was closed for the whole day I got there, then only opened at 16:00 on the second day. Food at the bar was pretty terrible and service was slow. Good location but stay somewhere else if you can

such a shame about this viajero, all of the other ones we’ve stayed at in peru have been outstanding but this one is so rough round the edges and the food is sooo bad with long waits. the food in all the others are really good so it’s a disappointment. definitely think they could improve this place a lot with a bit of love

Value for money is horrendous in comparison to other hostels here. They bribe you with a terrible free breakfast if you write a good review and it’s because they know the value for money is so much poorer than other Viajero’s. It’s clean and h the staff are nice but there’s no need to charge so much for dorm rooms that, A) have music blasting until 3am and B) seem secondary in priority to an overpriced bar where clearly customers are also overcharged

I would not recommend this place. Our room was right next to the dancefloor, with a DJ playing loudly until 3 a.m. The venue was overcrowded, and I felt very unsafe. Most of the guests were locals, and at one point, I noticed our dorm door had been left open. Two local men were inside, rummaging through lockers and luggage. When I reported it, the reception offered no help and simply said not everyone has keys.

People told that this hostel would be a nice experience but it wasn’t. People at the reception are not helpful at all and don’t really care how to help. - I was struggling to book the Viajero Hostel in Huacachina and the ladies in paracas Viajero just didn’t want to help…. Food in the restaurant was really overpriced and not good - we found a cockroach under the tables while having dinner - terrible smell was in the dinner area during lunch time

Have stayed at a lot of Kokopelli’s and this one was not one of the best. Our room was located directly over the club which didn’t stop until after 4 in the morning. Other guests were incredibly loud. The bunk beds were hard to get in and out of, and it was lacking amenities that the other hostels in this chain have. Would recommend staying somewhere else while in Paracas

worst hostel i have slept in in the past 3 months. music was blasting so loud till 03:30 am that my bed was shaking. if you are such a party hostel that isnt even allowing people to sleep you better make it clear in the description.

Only stay here if you want to stay up until 1 am.

Dianna was such a help I really appreciated her as well as the hostel is a great mix of social and personal 🫶🏾

Very nice hostel in Paracas. Only downside in our opinion was loud music until 3am on a Saturday (which I get, but might not be everyone’s thing). Clean with hot showers, social atmosphere and comfortable beds. Pool was nice to have!

We had a great stay at Viajero. Check-In experience with Diana was excellent. We stayed in Private room, and it felt like we were in a Hotel. We could even go Kayaking for free. Tour Prices were very fair and comparable to outside the hostel sometimes even lower. Overall very happy!

We enjoyed our stay here. It’s in a great location right on the beach and a short walk away from the bus station. Although the communal area was loud, we were in a private room away from all the noise so we slept soundly!! Probably not the same for the shared rooms though… The staff are extremely friendly, especially Diana who kindly let us leave our stuff in the storage room and use the hostel facilities until the end of the day as we had an overnight bus that evening!

Heerlijk hostel in kustplaats Paracas. Er heerst een relaxte sfeer. Er zijn veel activiteiten en ligt direct aan het strand en kleine centrum.

ein mega hostel! tolle anlage, direkt am strand, viele aktivitäten, und das personal ist super lieb und hilfsbereit, vor allem diana und carlos :)

Great place to stay! Staff is welcoming and helpful. Amazing location and it’s the main event in paracas. No reason to go elsewhere really. Naeko was super helpful!

Good hostel - not super social, but I guess it is more about the people. The location is great and the pool is amazing! Sleeping in a 14 bed dorm is super fine, when the room is bit with plenty of windows!

Easily the best hostel I’ve stayed at in Peru. Great location, great facilities and bed, plus super social. Staff were amazing. Diana on reception was fantastic — so helpful and friendly from the moment I checked in. Helped me plan my time in paracas and was able to answer any questions I had. Laura was incredible with the social events, she really went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time and got to know each other. Highly recommend!​​​​​​​​​​​​​...

a nice hostel, directly located at the beach. It's rather a party hostel with a lot of drinking and activities but you can also find people easily through activities which are organised by the hostel. The private rooms were quite new and located on a seperate area which was nice because you couldn't hear the noises from the bar. But since they were made out of wood, they got unbearably hot, even not in the summer.

This hostel is in a great location that opens right up on the beach. The staff were all nice but did not really stand out or try to get people engaged in my opinion or really talk to the guest but all in all it was a very nice relaxing hostel during the day and party at night with a DJ. So be prepared to use ear plugs if it bothers you.

Probably the best hostel I’ve stayed in on my trip in South America so far. The hostel has everything you need, with plenty of space so it doesn’t feel overcrowded/busy. Great pool and right on the beach. Only recommendation would be to include a/c in the 14 bed dorm. Great place to chill and relax for a couple of days!

Staff were quite rude but the hostel itself was good and sociable. Food is overpriced tho

Une ambiance incroyable : le staff est adorable ! Parfait pour faire la fête, DJ jusqu’à 3h, les grands dortoirs donne sur le côté piste de danse, le restaurant est très bon avec des portions généreuses, (attention pas de cuisine, mais sont ok pour conserver quelques unes de nos aliments au frigo) je recommande si vous souhaitez vous détendre à la piscine de jour et danser la nuit !

Tolles Hostel, vor allem die privaten Cabanas und der Bereich dort. Gute Angebote und gute Bar und Restaurant. Direkt am Meer! Eine Küche, um sich selber mal was zuzubereiten oder was zu kühlen wäre toll, das wäre mein einziger Minuspunkt.

Nice hostel lovely staff, relaxed feel in the day. Our room backed onto the main bar/party area that was pretty full on (the block we were in also had no power for the first night so no fans or charging )- that was particularly hard as it was super hot, the windows had to be wide open so felt like we were part of the party downstairs and smelt of smoke during the night - had to leave the room at one point as it was just impossible to sleep. This was a one off but not the best.

Great relaxing spot for a short stay in Paracas! Food at the bar was excellent and worth the price. Drinks expensive though. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the hostel was clean! Wifi connection strong in most areas as well.
