Flashpackers Hervey Bay

Honestly I thought the location was fine and it served us a purpose of arriving, sleeping and leaving early. We were out as two girls into a farm with the guys who were living in the dorms for months it smelt awful, there was pizza on the floor under the bed, incredibly unclean.

The WORST place I have EVER stayed!! We found 4 bed bugs one morning in our bed and let the girl on reception know to deep clean our room, she obliged but wasn’t surprised or apologetic. We went out for the day and came back in the evening to clean sheets, yet still found HUNDREDS of bed bugs in the gaps of the bed-frame, it was horrifying. Told a 2nd receptionist, he didn’t seem surprised either. Refunded us for our last night and we had to book elsewhere at 8pm! Not one apology received at...

Pretty poor hostel all round too be honest. Relatively dirty, aircon was non existent and outdoor areas are pretty poor. Reminds me of a prison camp Staff were friendly and location is good but that’s about it. We checked out early

I would never stay here again. We were supposed to have 2 nights but left after the 1st as i couldn’t stand another night in that place. We were the youngest people in the room by miles and i felt so uncomfortable the whole time i was there. The property itself was overall not clean and i came out with a bad cough (assuming it’s from the aircon). i tried to avoid using the facilités like the toilets and pool and they didn’t look clean. First and foremost: WE HAD BEDBUGS! And the manager tried to gaslight us into believing it’s a normal bug, only to tell another employee the next day that she found a bed bug (I found the bed bug! And she let someone sleep in the bed knowingly it had bed bugs!). The rooms itself are okay, the lockers are very small. The kitchen is the worst kitchen I have been so far, incredible dirty and unorganized. The manager was not particularly nice but the girl working the reception was very nice.

Worst hostel I stayed during my trip. I felt really uncomfortable and left two days earlier. Room wasn’t clean. I had to do my bed by my own. No light and no outlet, when you have the bed on top. Mattress old, thin and inconvenient. Staff was friendly.

Owner(manager) was RUDE, unhelpful and unprofessional! I Will never return or recommend!! Disappointed at our time in hervey bay unfortunately because of this! Dirty room, rats in the garden, common areas was locked and closed at curtain times!

Bardzo dziwne miejsce! Brudno i nieprzyjemnie. Daleko od dworca autobusowego. Małe pokoje, gdzie wciśnięte są 3 łóżka piętrowe, tj. dla 6 osób. Nie ma żadnych półek, szafek, krzesełka. Wszystkie rzeczy po prostu wykładasz na podłogę. Jeśli przyjeżdżasz w tej rejon dla Wyspy Frazer, to znajdź miejsce noclegowe w innym mieście. To nawet biuro podróży zamyka się o 16.00. Szczerze odradzam!!

Me and a couple friends stayed for only 2 nights and for a small hostel it was really lovely, it’s very affordable. I wouldn’t call it lively and if you want nightlife this isn’t the place for you however there’s a cinema room and pool table and because it’s quite a small hostel everyone seems like a little family, the staff are lovely. There is free breakfast which is also great and the staff really do seem to care about the hostel and put a lot of effort in

Bien, mais je pense qu’on peut trouver mieux et plus proche du centre. Là où j’étais il n’y avait pas trop de supermarché, à part à 30 minutes de marche et les transports en commun passent seulement 1 fois par heure.

It’s a homie and quiet hostel. It is close to the beach and otherwise you can rent bikes to get around (but they could use some fixing). Very clean in the common area which was very nice. The staff is eager to help whenever it is needed:)

Pretty good hostel to get to Fraser Island etc , city itself is pretty much dead , staff was okay, prices were weird (and nobody from the staff seemed to tell us the same prices, they were always different) , common area was amazing , big kitchen and pool table etc , very chill and cool hostel

Nothing special. Just a good hostel. Very far from everything though and they charge for a shuttle which sucks.

Nice and clean, great shower! Super chill vibes and great free breakfast. A/C was working really well in my room. Wasn’t there long enough to judge on the social atmosphere.

Comfortable hostel with a well stocked kitchen, swimming pool and loads of communal social areas. Staff were all sound and the free breakfasts were great. Not incredibly social but a good place to stop for a couple of nights.

I don’t understand why this hostel is so low ranked for what it provides. I’m not kidding when I say best hostel I every stayed in!!

Good facilities. Didn’t feel completely clean in the bathroom. The hostel is a 45 minute walk from any proper shops so keep in mind the location.

Nothing fancy - but a nice hostel - with a pool area!

Really nice chilled vibe, with lots to keep you entertained (cinema room, pool take, board games, pool). Cleanest hostel kitchen that we’ve been in and the free breakfast was lovely. The staff were so helpful - highly recommend!

Had a great stay for my two nights! All from friendly staff to clean rooms and a nice common spaces :) One thing for the suggestion box is a late check out option towards a small fee, would be great if waiting for transport/pick up and catch up on some sleep! TYVM

Only stayed here for fraser island tour, felt a bit like a prison

Staff lovely, did wake up with our door wide open which obviously altered the security rating, and wish they had enough waffles in morning otherwise very decent for hervey bay and the staff are super lovely and accommodating!

Not the room/bed quality I'd expect for paying almost $100/night. It wasn't too busy, which was nice and the waffle for breakfast was a good bonus. Fine if you are on a budget or for short stays.

The private room + en-suite was nice! Late check in instructions were easy. The common facilities closed fairly early and laundry was quite expensive. Overall a good stay for Fraser Island trips!

Auberge très agréable, propre et bien entretenue. Les parties communes, la cuisine, la terrasse et la piscine sont très confortables. Je recommande 😁
