San Remo Hostel

Bed buts. We didnt realize until the day after but we stayed for one night and had to deep clean all of our belongings and my girlfriend was covered in bites. DO NOT STAY HERE

I would say I didn’t feel safe as a woman and it was a little far away from stuff…. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Not just the hostel but the city. Also the AC was only on from 9pm-9am. During the summer if you stay inside after that you’ll cook

1/5 truly crazy this place has good ratings. This place is wildly overpriced and overrated. There is no security or safety anyone can just walk in cause the door has an honor system for the lock. There are 2 bathrooms for the entire place and they barely function. The walls are paper thin and it's loud AF and the dudes son was on the roof partying all night. There's bugs everywhere. The beds were sketch. Owner was nice but seems like snake oil to cover for how bad this place really is

We had the bad surprise that our private room had no windows! I could not imagine that this is possible. As a consequence, the air was bad/humid and no possibility for ventilation. When leaving the door open, there is no privacy and the smell of fried oil enters because of the kitchen next to it. The facilities were very old, the bathroom very small, the shower curtain dirty at the bottom so that you dont want to touch it. Additionally, the neighbourhood is unsafe. Bad experience.

Small hostel, not geared toward youth backpackers (most guests were middle aged men). Room and bed was clean with a fan to keep cool. Every guest had a small locker for valuables. The whole room shared 1 power bar. The roof is fun, the man running the place was helpful. The kitchen wasn’t clean, I wouldn’t have used it. I would give 3 stars except that my room smelled strongly of sewage beginning at about midnight, it was completely unbearable. I wouldn’t go back because of the smell.

The guy who ran the hostel was really nice and accommodating and the room was nice too, but it wasn’t a very clean hostel.

the manager refused to give me access to the air conditioner and i had to pay an extra €20 a night to use it in the middle of a heat wave. large people wont fit into the bathroom as i barely did and im only 177 cm and 80 kilos

the hostel is in a very unpleasant part of Athens but close to the metro.. as a solo female I didn’t feel very comfortable and ended up switching to a private room, the rooms are extremely basic but clean, the bathroom is tiny and you need to almost climb over the toilet to reach the shower.. overall a decent place to spend 1 night if you need to catch the metro

Upon arrival we found larva in the bed sheets which was an immediate turnoff. They were immediately replaced but it definitely was a rough start. The staff was kind and helpful but the overall atmosphere left a lot to be desired. I would not stay here again.

A fine choice if you’re looking for an affordable place to stay close to Larissa station. Two streets up (Chiou) you’ll find a street market with fruits and vegetables, at least on Wednesdays. Rooms and shared bathroom are tiny but perfectly clean. There’s a seating area on the rooftop. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I would come back.

Chris was great, this is the perfect place for value for money and if youre staying for onward travel or really short term!

It's very good value for money. The dorms are quite small, and the shower and toilet definitely cramped. It's in an old building, and the owners are working hard to provide a good service.

Staff kind and welcoming but very basic hostel without any frills. Beds not comfortable, very limited facilities. Bathroom had a bad smell consistently and very small.

I had a wonderful two-day stay here and Chris takes good care of everybody. Thank you!

Super super clean, great location in between two metro stops and near the main train station while still being nice and quiet at night. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable mattress, the room was nice and dark at night, and the WiFi works well. Other guests were respectful about noise and light. The only thing that would've been nicer is having plug points closer to my bed but that's obviously very minor, there were more than enough plug points at the table for everyone in the room.

All good :) the rooms are very basic but clean. The toilets are okay and clean but also a bit cramped. One recommendation to improve is to install a small light and socket for each bed so when guest arrive late they don’t have to disturb the roommates. Very friendly and caring owner. Would definitely recommend for the price.

Sublime little hostel near the Athens train station. An old building with a crumbling charm and potted plants all over the place. Very cool rooftop hangout space, small but satisfactorily equipped kitchen, and the kindest, most attentive host. Excellent value for the price.

Not a social one but still good stuff for relaxing and i personaly had my first 13 hour sleep at This hostel during my trip

Really really nice host! It was okay clean but not perfect. Rooms really small. 2 bathrooms only with only one shower curtain. Not so many people where staying in the hostel. You can’t lock the room door and the lockers are really small. But the entrance is always locked. Location: A lot of junkies nearby. Little bit sketchy when walking back at night.
