The rooms are not soundproof AT ALL. You can hear everything outdoors—trucks, motorcycles, loud music… be prepared to sleep bad. Also the wifi does not work at peak hours in the evening in the rooms. The only saving grace is the convenient location.
I would avoid. Awkward space.
it's a bit like a hospital but Nice private rooms for cheap
One of the worst hostels ever! Lots of street noise, not enough bathrooms, kitchen bare minimum, no fans or a/c; windows literally LOCKED, so you can’t open them, zero atmosphere, no bar, no restaurant…seriously dozens of nice hostels in Oaxaca…don’t stay here! 👎👎
Clean, central but no atmosphere. Very basic. Staff nice but nil social. Staff if you are looking for a cheap clean basic hostel
this place shouldn't be called a hostel. its just a house full of rooms and beds thats it. the place is HUGE but just full of unused space. in the room theres not even one table to put your stuff in? no activities, bar, restaurant nothing. bit far from town as well so creepy to walk after sunset.
Close to the Zocalo square, however the hostal has massive empty rooms with no sofas or nothing to make it a communal space. Zero atmosphere and pretty crepy for a solo traveller. The room’s themselves were nice enough but our 1 bathroom between multiple rooms didn’t work. As in, the water literally dribbled to the point i couldn’t even wash my feet. Fine for a night or if you just want a place to crash
Great location. Huge and spacious building. Good views from all the terraces. Staff was nice enough. No English so be prepared. Good for deep sleepers, otherwise you might feel like you’re sleeping on the street due to noise. Didn’t use the kitchen so not sure about that.
Doesn’t have half of the facilities listed! Kitchen is extremely basic. I had to go and buy my own cutlery during my stay. It doesn’t have laundry facilities. Not much of an atmosphere which we liked as we want to avoid those hostels as much as possible. Location is very good.
The hostel has a load of potential and is in a beautiful building with great facilities, however this is not met, the staff were bare minimum, we saw some unholy things in the bathrooms, and some strange encounters and weird smells. The location is great and the room was more than fine and clean.

Lots of Space - rooftop kitchen each floor has lots of space and always à bathroom very nearby
A very interesting place. Diverse guests in age, nationality, and travel purpose. Lots of great common spaces and loved all the outdoor patios and rooftop. Nice big and fairly clean kitchen although weird limited posted hours for use, which didn't seem to be enforced. You can't beat the price which might explain the not so great parts: the prison like room and no elevator. Clearly more of a co living space than a hotel or hostel.

Nice hostel in the old town. It’s not a particularly sociable place, although it does have loads of communal areas including huge roof top with great views. Only one kitchen for huge hostel with minimal equipment. We actually had to go and ask for forks (and received plastic). Limited opening hours kitchen were also a bit annoying. Sound echos a lot so we were awoken a few times by guests arriving/leaving early or at night, inc ringing doorbell as front door is locked at night.
Nice hostel but not very social
Only stayed for a night and was perfect for what I needed - a cheap place that was well located. Not sure it’s got the most sociable vibe! More of a set up for working instead
Super!!!!
Amazing hostel!! Clean, soacious, beautiful rooftop and in the city center. I will come back!!

For such a cheap price, the place is excellent. It's right in the middle of everything that's happening in town, it's clean, it has a nice community vibe. It's the perfect place if you don't want to spend much and you only go home to sleep.
Beautiful property with really cool views of the town and mountains. Loved the historic feel.

Solo comentar el internet que no tenia mucha cobertura
Amazing views of the city - from both terraces!!
was alright and good location. beds could do with some new sheets and better pillows
Big clean and well located hostel!
Gorgeous Hostel and excellent value for money. Pictures don’t do it justice. Lovely welcoming staff, although they are not fluent in English they did their best to communicate. No extra amenities like pool or socials, however you can get this from nearby hostels like us. Rooms were quite hot, however we ended up taking a fan for the room which was fine.
