the hostel isnt good first off they take your passport and refuse to give it back till checkout fees are charged for everything there were bedbugs and some of the equipment is damaged the check-in and checkout takes up to 2 hours we asked around and more than 10 people switched hostels after 1 night don’t come here nice coffee and the staff is quite nice

My pillow had mould on it, they took our passports at entry, no other hostel I have stayed at in Sri Lanka did this. A friend we were with had bed bugs, and on our first night there was no AC so the room was boiling. The location is very good, but we stayed in another hostel in a similar area for cheaper.

Our stay at Chill Vibes Hostel was awful. The room was filthy—ants in the sink, bugs in the bed, and a dirty bathroom. Both of us developed a rash, likely from bed bugs. Staff dismissed our concerns, were rude, and offered no help. They even mocked us about seeing a "proper" doctor. Since mid-February, we've been contacting them for a refund, but they ignore us. Horrible service—avoid this place at all costs!
