Maverick Downtown

The entire building is filled with an extremely strong artificial vanilla scent (reception, common areas, kitchen). It’s so intense that it’s hard to breathe, harmful to health, and impossible to tolerate for longer. This is not about personal preference, the environment is simply not usable. I had to leave early. Initially I was offered a refund, but this was changed to a room switch, which doesn’t solve the issue since the smell is everywhere. I am still waiting for a refund.

Many problems, few solutions. Dirty vibe, very poor security. Bathroom problems.

DO NOT stay at this hostel!! Especially if you are a female traveler. Your safety is not worthy of the low price you will pay. I have never such a bad experience with a hostel like i had with this one. I had a problem with a man sleeping on my bad and they were unable to solve it. We couldn’t sleep there, basically. The employees are mostly rude, with one of them answering all our questions with “i am just a student, i dont know how to solve it”. Until now we haven’t heard any respon...

overrated hostel with some weirdest receptionists I ever seen. Odd place with dead atmosphere, cause of emptiness and some receptionist, who shouldn't be there. They can start with you nonsence talks, introding your privacy. And being talked back on their own mad way, they'll take revenge, sending around creepy, maniacal letter, accusing you of their own menthal problems. The weirdo will call you even ,,very strange,,.) Who is here really strange?) So, you see.)

Couldn’t find the place at first. When I eventually found the hostel and reception, I checked into my room to find that it was full of men and there were no bunk beds only single beds leaving everyone exposed. I didn’t feel comfortable staying here but reception was friendly about my issue and gave me a full refund.

Not warm or welcoming, no social area to hang out, and hallways were scented by plug in perfume. Felt safe though and good location.

There was no curtains or privacy. The lockers didn’t have a lock on them. The heaters are turned up to the max. The room smelled awful. I checked out earlier than my intended stay and moved somewhere else. I’ve stayed in many shared hostels before. Woke up to someone standing over me watching me sleep. Was really weird.

The rooms were quite untidy. There was rubbish lying on the floor and despite asking twice to clean up the room, the trash stayed there. The bathroom stank at times due to poor ventilation. Probably that’s why the bathroom ceiling was a bit mouldy. The room was unbearably hot at night since there was no aircon. The beds were comfy though and there were thick curtains so that you could get the room really dark. Lots of space for your stuff. Overall, for the same money, I’ve stayed in much nic...

The beds in this place were super comfortable and the value for money was great! The bathrooms were a little old and there wasn’t a ton of communal space. If you are just looking for a place to crash for a couple nights—this is a great option!

This hostel was fine, but I wouldn’t recommend for anyone under 30 wanting a social experience. Very dead atmosphere and lots of older people (which is totally fine but not what I was looking for). Found the bathrooms to be lacking and the shower did not drain at all which was pretty gross. FABULOUS location though.

门口就是地铁站，出门超方便。隔壁就是lidl，买东西也很方便，走路十分钟到多瑙河畔，适合出门随便逛逛。住的六人间空间很大，床铺很干净，会给准备毛巾，卫生间里有沐浴露，还有准备小零食，离店的时候会送明信片，遇见的室友都很棒，素质很高会保持安静，入住体验超级好

Genuinely have not stayed in a better hostel- ranking #1 out of all the ones I have tried in different countries so far!

Best hostel I have ever stayed at! Staff were so friendly and helpful, room was very clean and cleaned frequently. Such a great value for the price you pay. Highly recommend!

Brilliant hostel with gorgeous female-only room. Liked that you didn’t have to pay more for female-only. Rooms were lovely and not just basic, warm and clean. The towel included was a great touch. The staff were really friendly at all hours. Would recommend this hostel as a female solo traveller as the location was perfect (10 min walk from the airport bus drop off) and 15-20 min walking distance to everything else!

The hostel was really nice and the staff were super helpful and friendly.

Great place to stay. I love show the bathrooms were in the rooms. There was also free luggage storage which was very helpful and 24hr check in!!! Loved this place, 100% recommend. Also located near the center which makes walking everywhere so easy!

The hostel has a great location. The rooms are very cozy, with a lot of space and very comfortable beds! The environment of the hostel is great. The kitchen is nice. And the staff is very friendly! I think it’s the best hostel I’ve stay in my life. I’d love to come back!

I like most other Maverick locations a lot but this one doesn't seem as put together. There was an issue with a bed not being cleaned/made in the room, the bathrooms are not clean, the toilet seat was broken and moving, the ladder steps are at such an odd spacing that it was hard to navigate (especially at night), no curtains, carpet on the floor which hold the smell of feet Good thing: good location, lockers/cabinets are a really good large size, towels & hairdryer provided,

Room was nice and clean. Dodo on reception hosted a great wine tasting night and gave lots of recommendations of things to do in the local area! Thanks again :)

Great value and location. Not a very large or nice common area. Bathroom needed a cleaning but the room was nice.

El sitio es fabuloso, eventualmemte quienes se aloja no tanto y arruinan un poco la experiencia con su abandono y desaseo, pero si que lo recogen quienes allí trabajan. Muy recomendado y tranquilo, más cercano que los otros de la cadena.

Marvellous place and position.

This hostel is pretty amazing, the location is great, the building is beautiful. Rooms are fresh and clean, common kitchen is also nice. The staff is really nice and they offer activities throughout the week. I recommand this place, but warn everybody to be very careful during booking, because Maverick has a breach in their security system on their website. They are aware of the situation but did not do anything, so you could get scammed unfortunately... Maverick is top tier apart from that !!
