Very special. It’s quirky and has its own personality which is interesting however unfortunately it was not a comfortable stay. We were 3 girls in a tiny trailer with barely any space to put our stuff, it smelled strongly of horses and hay, the bed was very old, loud with a flat pillow. It was cold, the heat pump was loud and not that efficient so the sleep was definitely not great. We had mouse p*o on our stuff and could hear them through the night. Would not stay again. Very nice staff tho
As my bonza flight was cancelled I attempted to cancel via the hostel app but found no trips on my account and therefore could not cancel the booking. I attempted to message the website direct but as that didn’t work either I’ve been charged the first night. Def never booking with either again.
+ Has so much potential
- It was raining when I stayed but the rain makes the hostel pretty unusable. Everything felt damp and smelt damp, everything felt a bit grubby, to get to all of the facilities you had to walk through the rain, the women’s toilet had no soap, reception is open at odd hours and unless you have the code you have no access to the hostel. Alice springs is not a great area and it’s heightened by the metal fencing and barbed wire around the hostel.
+ Au premier abord, c’est accueillant parce qu’il y a plein de créativité, d’éléments décoratifs marrants. La cuisine est bien équipée avec pas mal d’ustensiles
- Mais au final on se rend compte que les éléments décoratifs cachent le manque d’hygiène. La propreté n’est pas au rendez vous, Pas de serviettes, pas de savons. Odeur dans la chambre. Jardin avec pleins de cafards. Douche homme en travaux. Salle de bain mixte dans un état déplorable, serviette de sol marrons, évier avec des coulures qui ne partent pas. J’ai failli me brûler avec l’évier des toilettes qui était chaud à fond, impossible de le mettre sur froid. Pas de places dans les frigos qui sont pleins. Et quand je dis tout ça au gérant, il me dit que c’est la basse saison et qu’il fallait payer un hôtel 300$ la nuit si je voulais pas ça. Est-ce que l’hygiène est une affaire de prix ? Je voyage depuis plus de 10 ans à travers le monde et je suis sur que non.

Very lovely hostel. Quiet, small and homey. Very well equipped generally. The only thing to keep in mind, they don't offer lockers for valuables. Otherwise fantastic.

+ Nice eclectic hideaway. Lovely garden and rooms. Pool with sunbeds. Safe with gated access. Kitchen Showers and facilities all great. They arrange tours and have a safe room for luggage. Enjoyed.

Check in was informative and welcoming. Enjoyed the beautiful oasis relaxing in the pool and hammocks whilst being entertained by Galahs and a pair of ring-necks. Rescued a frog from the pool, and had a great night sleep.

+ Sehr schönes, aussergewöhnlich arrangiertes Hostel mit tollem Garten & Pool, sehr zentrale & doch ruhige Lage. Wie eine Oase. Sehr freundliche Eigentümer.

Eines der süßesten, sympathischsten wunderbarsten Hostels in denen ich je war! Wie eine kleine wholesome oase. Sehr liebevoll hergerichtet, alles da was man braucht, liebe Leute. Wir waren unglaublich begeistert!

+ Kleine versteckte, mit viel lustigen Sachen eingerichtete Oase. Hat alles was man braucht. Badezimmer neu gemacht.
- Die Betten sind recht laut. Der Gitterrost knarzt bei jeder Bewegung.
