+ Awesome
- The dorm bed was very unconfortable and miss a blanket on a cold day . No plug to charge device near the bed and that not very good

The beds are an absolute disgrace. There's practically no space in the lower bunk. If you turn over in your sleep, you're already hitting the ceiling. They're also arranged in an L-shape, so things kept falling on me from the upper bunk at night because there's nowhere to put them. No power outlets, no storage compartments, and nothing else is provided except pudding. That's nice, sure, but it doesn't make up for the rest.

- Die Bettwäsche in unserem Zimmer war leider nicht wirklich sauber und auch die Gemeinschaftsküchen waren zum Teil nicht sehr gepflegt/sauber.
+ Close enough proximity to CBD on foot. Clean room with bedding, towels, soap provided.
- Extremely noisy place with "socializing" lasting until 2:00am with loud conversations, laughter and slamming of doors. Our bathroom had two doors; one of which communicated with "party central". Noise makers should have been asked to keep it down or take it somewhere else by the staff after 11:00.

Worst hostel in NZ for sleeping, other guests were frequently talking loudly or slamming doors during the night. Small kitchen. Staff rude and abrupt. Hostel not near anything, 10 min walk to restaurants. Host couldnt even tell me correct location of intercity bus stop which is 11 min walk. Overpriced for private room in noisy location - guests in next room talked very loudly constantly, close laundry room. The chocolate pudding and ice cream was good.

Such a great hostel! Loved the chocolate pudding and lots of space to hang out with a lovely vibe. The fire was a bonus and I thought the hostel was really clean and well equipped.
Great hostel! Super great atmosphere/ very social. Some of the staff can be a little grumpy unnecessarily (what they were saying was valid but sometimes tone was a bit aggressive) but I can’t complain that much about it because they truly do maintain a very clean kitchen and ensure the space is respected. Many board games to play, guitars for people to use, hot water bottles if you’re cold, and lovely outside area. Really enjoyed the hostel :)
I’ve been to a lot of hostels but this one was under my top 3! really enjoyed my stay at Tasman Bay! The hostel is super clean, the shared rooms/ living room are super comfy and the whole stuff was so friendly. The warm atmosphere and the cozy facilities made it so easy to get in touch with other travelers. Stayed for 3 nights and left super relaxed since it just felt like home. :)
One of my favorite hostels ever. Friendly atmosphere (chocolate pudding is a great way to meet people) while still being comfortable and relatively quiet enough to work in the mornings. It's very clean and the staff are organized and so helpful. The location is in a quiet neighborhood but a very short walk to the town center and grocery stores. Probably the best hostel I stayed at in NZ. Nice social vibe, had a good layout. I especially enjoyed the extensive cosy common room and outdoor chill spaces. The free chocolate pudding every evening was a bonus too haha. Great job guys 😁

+ Lovely hostel, very friendly staff, clean, tidy, beautiful garden, facilities all in good working order. I had a twin room with direct access to the garden - very nice in the summer :)
- There was no locker or shelf to put your things. Just one chair and a table, and a few hooks on the wall. I used the other bed, but if it would have been two people in that room our stuff would have been on the floor or crowding the table&chair. If you don't mind that then you'll be good.
