Time Travelers Party Hostel in Hongdae

This place was pretty dingy feeling. I feel like I was fooled by the other reviews. The bathrooms are an actual horror show. Black mold I didn’t want to touch anything and the toilets often broke down. The bed was rock solid and there wasnt much of a common area to be able to eat. I mean, it got the job done, and I’ve stayed in pretty shitty places, this is probably top 3.

DONT STAY HERE! the pictures are deceitful! It’s awful and mouldy and disgusting and unclean. I have low standards for hostels but this is awful. It’s not even cheap for what it is. Everyone was leaving the booking early

The reviews for this place must be fake. I have no words for how unclean and unorganized this place is. The bathrooms were so dirty and stank to the point where I didn’t shower there during my stay. The beds are flimsy with no privacy. The rooms smell musty, as if there is some sort of mold in the room. I am convinced that this place is artificially boosting their reviews. Stay somewhere else!

Great location, but….Rooms are like prison cells, not clean at all, bedding smelt of smoke and no privacy curtain. Our room faced the road and only had sheer curtains so the whole room was lit up every time a car went past. Bathrooms were also gross and were only 2 toilets for 4 dorms. It was also freezing, they didn’t put the heating on until 11pm. Staff were also very uninterested in guests and there was no social atmosphere. I met multiple people who checked out after 1 night.

The staff here were lovely, helpful (to the best of their abilities) and apologetic when we left after 3 nights into our 6 night booking. We overpaid for the quality of accommodation. We wanted to stay here for new years to do a pub crawl and meet folks, only to find out they don’t org. anything because it’s too expensive for that holiday… and our private room was freezing despite letting them know, had tons of drywall damage, and these translucent curtains that were stained & I could go o...

HORRIBLE STAFF THAT GOSSIP ABOUT YOU BEHIND YOUR BACK, CALL YOU A BAD WORDS AND JUST NEGATIVE ENERGY ALL AROUND. NEED TRAINING ASAP!

The location was great, but the nomad workers couldn’t care less about you or your needs - made it a bad experience.

Do not stay here! Not a party hostel! Not worth the time and money. Staff did not bother to sweep the floor of my room and Staff was alittle rude. Place is VERY MOLDY and the common area is just a damp smelly basement. There are no events just a ripoff bbq with staff Friday night. I met others who stayed there and said the same. One of the worst hostels I’ve stayed at. 2 of the guys who worked there were awesome tho.

Do not stay here if you value cleanliness, privacy or safety. I booked a 6 bed female only dorm and was put in an 8 bed mixed (beds don’t have curtains either) Originally booked four nights but left after one! The bedsheets had blood on them, towels had orange and brown stains and the bathroom was just gross. When I told staff I’d like to checkout and a refund they were too busy laughing between them at who was going to get in trouble for it. Avoid at all costs.

WARNING!! I had to leave earlier than I planned and in the middle of the night because I got multiple bed bug bites during my stay, which made it impossible to sleep. I reported it to the staff and offered to come back to the hostel to show exactly where the bugs were, as well as the bites on my body, but nothing was done. The owner dismissed my request for a refund. In general, the hostel had very poor hygiene, no proper cleaning was done anywhere in the hostel during my stay. AVOID!

Amazing staff, especially Maka — she really made my trip memorable! She and some friends from the hostel gave us fantastic recommendations on what to do around the area. Super helpful and friendly.

Great value for money. Kind and helpful owner and his staff. Me and my friends just extended three more nights here. Very good place to drink Soju & beer and to meet other friends.

I had a good time here in this hostel. Every day and night I enjoyed their various Soju and draft beer. Sammy is the best, he always took care of the guests. I would like to come back to stay longer with my friends next time, definitely!

Overall, I will book here to stay again in my next trip to Korea. Very near from the airport metro and city subway. Hongdae main street and night spots like clubs and bars are also near from this hostel. It is a good place to meet people, other travelers and its nice kind staff. It has French, Chilean and Portuguese staff. Facilities are not excellent but I can understand it. At least it has everything for their guests and staff clean it often.

In general, it has real good vibes! I will definitely book again for my next trip to Korea. Nice and kind staff, so close to airport train and metropolitan subway lines. Their owner and staff will bring or at least showed me to the most popular clubs & bars near from this hostel. I also enjoyed various fruit Soju here. Very good place to meet nice people from all around the world!

The other travellers make that place good. Rooms are a good size nothing is like really unclean and the location is amazing.

Overall, a really amazing hostel to stay. The location is excellent as it's so close to major rail and buses and also close to Hongdae main street. It is on a quiet street so there is no traffic like cars, bikes and the others to keep you up at night. However the guests came back late at night. Their staff cleaned the hostel often but it was not super clean but it was totally acceptable for me. I also enjoyed a lot their Friday BBQ party with unlimited Soju. I will definitely book again, Gun...

I had great time here with Sammy, the owner of the hostle and his sisters. Perfect location takes 5 min from airport train and practical to access all the popular spots in Seoul. Its facilities were simple but good enough to stay. If someone wants to meet people and wanna enjoy Hongdae then they must boom this hostel. Thank you very much, Sammy. See you soon again!!

HORRIBLE ! Les douches sont sales, pleines de cheveux, les WC puent et plein d'urines et de tâches. Les robinets minuscules, les lits de prison font du bruit la nuit et sont instables, les draps et coussins puent. Au sol il y a de la poussière partout, les voyageurs laissent des affaires et de la nourriture au sol. Les murs et plafonds sont moisis et cassés. Unless you just want to drink go somewhere else, pretty dirty, 1 working bathroom for 32 people which smelt awful and I got sick staying there. Saw plenty of people leave early🤣

Not great ngl. They reckon it’s a party hostel but it’s absolutely not hahahah. Decent location and price bus other than don’t expect anything good. Toilets were grim and the staff/volunteers were very cliquey and unhelpful. Common area was rubbish, no one was ever in there and the rooms are basic af. I’d recommend avoiding
