Very surprised by the high rating of this hostel. Maybe we were unlucky, my bed was situated under the kitchen where the flooring is badly broken and creaks loudly and constantly. The cleaner was in until after 3am the first night, with breakfast beginning at 6am. When I asked to be moved this could not be accommodated, however staff did get the cleaner in earlier the following night. We also weren’t notified the hostel was closing for bed bug treatment when relying on them for bag storage.
I really didn’t enjoy the stay. I came around 22:30 - the kitchen was already close. The staff wasn’t consistent with the times - I missed breakfast and the kitchen was closed the rest of the time for cleaning. Very little personal space and very small bathrooms. Don’t come here for one night stay - I’m sure everything was better if I had time to adjust properly.
There's people working here that were helpful like the admin manager and the argentinian girl at the reception but the rest of the staff were quite rude, unpleasant and not helpful. The checkout is at 11 am and they knocked the bathroom door at 11 am sharp to ask me to leave the room in a very rude way. I got 2 more requests to leave the room in the next 7 minutes while I was dressing up with the final one asking me to get dress and finish my packing in the common area. Again, it was just 11:07.
No había agua caliente, nos dijeron que calentaba en 20 minutos, paso una hora y seguía sin calentar. Además super ruidoso, se siente desde las habitaciones de planta baja como caminan en planta alta. No recomiendo.
This hostel provides good breakfast and is good to rent equipment for the W trek and other hikes. Unfortunately the attitude of some of the staff is shockingly bad. Rude, miserable and seem to get annoyed by their PAYING guests. A really bad vibe in this hostel like no where i’ve been before. To top things off, the walls and floor are made of paper. Don’t expect to sleep well if you stay here. If the staff cheer up and smile.. it may improve.
Good place if you just want a bed for the night. If you’re looking for friendly staff you may not want to stay here. Asking anyone to do something seemed like a huge inconvenience. This included the rental service. My friend said hi to the rental guy in response to him saying hello and he actually said “I’m not speaking to you”. It’s also important to note the bus does not stop outside the hostel (as described) it stops at the terminal about a 15 minute walk away.
The room to the dorm didnt properly shut and they need to either coordinate breakfast times with the first bus to torres del paine (i needed to leave at 6:15am for the 6:45 bus) or let people use the kitchen before breakfast starts. I labelled my food in the fridge and it was gone when i returned from torres del paine 😔. The waffles were nice and the kitchen was well equipped (when it could be used)
The bedsheets were covered in hairs. Many small hairs. It was disgusting. Seems like they are not cleaned
We stayed in a private room at this hostel for 1 night before the W Trek. It’s in a good location and the staff are super friendly and helpful , they also speak English really well in case you don’t know much Spanish. I wasn’t impressed with the cleanliness (sheets were not clean looking) or atmosphere of our private room (no windows, kind of felt like staying in a basement) but for one night it was fine. If you’re staying here I think their dorm rooms are probably the better option.
Room No.5 is small and cramped with broken furniture. Old and smelly carpet as well as shared bathroom. Strange stains in the shower.Breakfast poor and in a chaotic space, no service. At the end you have to wash everything you use from cup to spoon.I had booked a room with 4 beds and a private bathroom and on arrival I discovered that they had sold it.No excuses from the inexperienced concierge. The owner who first rented the room the next day could not explain the situation, smart! Very bad exp!

Un ostello splendido, molto accogliente e confortevole, ho passato tre notti ma sinceramente non me ne sarei più andata. La colazione con i waffles preparati sul momento dal personale e una delle migliori di tutto il viaggio!
Amazing hostel, really great breakfast and friendly staff
This is one of my favourite hostels Ive ever stayed in, perfect location and super friendly staff. Great for rentals too and very cosy
My privat room was very poorly soundproofed. You could hear everything, every word from the reception and the other rooms. It's getting even louder if someone in the room next to you lets the water run like showers. I therefore used ear plugs. The window of the room I staid in was facing directly the wash mashine. In addition you could partially look throughout the closed curtains. At the same time the staff and the volunteers were very friendly and let me stay in the hostal also after checkout.
Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I needed to leave before breakfast but they kept the kitchen unlocked so I could grab food before I left. Relatively clean for a shared hostel and fun place to hangout and socialize
Amazing hospitality, very warm and comfortable, and the front desk is super helpful and they all have great attitudes. Highly recommend to stay here!
Great hostel as a base for exploring Torres del Paine. Comfy beds, cosy room, big clean kitchen for food prep, great free breakfast (fresh waffles!) every morning. Can rent cheap equipment too, staff super helpful with recommendations
Great hostel in all ways!
The best staff ever, they are all so helpful with everything, including all your activities in the area or helping you set them up. It was clean, close to everything in town, hot water (very hot), free breakfast and coffee in the morning.
Muy recomendable por todo, limpieza, servicios, ambiente y sobre todo el personal amabilísimo que te ayuda en todo lo que está en su mano, con los tours, con las reservas, con todo tipo de información. Sin ninguna duda volvería.
Super friendly and helpful staff! We would definitely recommend! And the breakfast was great! Have in mind that you probably dont have to buy gas for camping, a lot of guests leave their gas in the free stuff section.
Very clean and nice hostel. The waffle for the breakfast are really good.
Great & cozy hostel. Perfect stay before and after doing Torres Del Paine. You can leave you stuff there as well and hire everything for the hikes. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Would recommend it!!
Really loved my stay! The people that work there are so kind. The waffles at breakfast are great.
We stayed here multiple times while travelling between Torres del Paine, El Calafate and El Chalten. This place has everything you need, luggage storage while at the park, lovely breakfast and much needed laundry service when you return from the park. The staff are also really helpful and friendly. 1 point docked as the showers take some getting used to- they are a small and it takes some time to get the temperature not too cold or hot. This is not a showstopper though, we still stayed 3 times.
A-Ma-ZING hostel! One of the Best I’ve been to in a while. The place is very nice and welcoming, very cozy! Staff very friendly, everything is clean, rooms with only 4 people, very spacious with comfortable bed. Even the towel is provided and is fluffy! Breakfast is included and is great (not just bread and coffee)! There are cereals, eggs, yogurt, bread, coffee, juice, waffles…! I only stayed one night but I kinda wished I would be staying longer!
Cosy and helpful hostel with a nice atmosphere.
Decent, small-ish hostel, with a good breakfast and a nice vibe of people starting or finishing their O/W trek. Felt more like staying in someone's spare rooms than a commercial hostel, which you might like or dislike. Friendly staff, though the guy who does the equipment hire can be grumpy. (They also charge more for equipment than some other places in town.) Could do with another bathroom, and, while some people prefer single beds to bunks, given that every morning someone in your dorm will be...
Great place to stay as a jumping off point for torres del paine. Easy to rent gear, store extra luggage. They were accommodating for a late check in when our bus was late (just let them know on whatsapp). Also helpful for recommendations in the area. Stayed in a private room with bathroom which was clean and comfortable. Great value breakfast as well. Would definitely stay here again.
This was such a great Hostal! The staff were beyond nice and helpful. The rooms were cozy too, and we really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. Very convenient location as well, close to everything. Overall, would stay again.
