Costeno River Minca

- We don’t understand how this place can receive such a high score. For us, it was truly a disappointment. The room was very small and there was mold on the walls. We had to hang towels over the window because otherwise everyone could look inside. The noise from the river is very disturbing at night. The back of the hut had no curtains, so the bright lights from the neighbor across the way shone in all night. During our stay in Colombia, we slept in much better accommodations for the same price. This place was really not worth the money. The photos are misleading. The only positive thing here is the good food.

- Op de foto’s lijkt het een resort achtig iets. Niets is minder waar. De kamers stinken naar schimmel en alles is vochtig, ook de dekbedden. Wij zijn gewisseld van kamer maar dat hielp niet. We zijn zelfs eerder weggegaan zonder refund omdat we niet langer wilde blijven. Het water is koud (er is geen warm water in de kamers), er lopen ratten, kakkerlakken in de kamers want alles is open, de bedden zijn mega klein en hard en dus super oncomfortabel. Tevens ziek geweest van het eten daar. Ontbijt is ook super karig. Personeel was oké, maar waren niet geïnteresseerd in onze problemen en vonden het niet gek dat we eerder weggingen. Wisten dat het enigszins primitief zou zijn, maar dit sloeg echt alles.

- The dorm was mouldy and damp. I asked to move to a private room as my room was full of flies. I ended up paying for both the dorm stay and private room.

- Our 2-night stay at this hotel was one of the worst experiences we've ever had. Compared to other incredible places we stayed at throughout Colombia, where value for money was outstanding, this one felt like a total rip-off. Cabin/rooms poorly maintained, with dirt entering through gaps in the structure and very small. Haven't been built properly. Very humid, hot inside filthy mosquito net — no idea when it was last washed. The pool is visually nice but the water was not clean. Breakfast was very very poor. Hot water didn’t work after our first night. The issue clearly wasn’t new, and despite promises to fix it, it wasn’t resolved and had to move rooms. That night, the entire electricity went out and stayed off until the next day — no generator or backup power. The night we changed rooms, we began hearing animals — clearly rats — scurrying by our walls and even inside. Without electricity, we couldn’t see properly, and there was no staff around to help. We messaged them on WhatsApp and received no reply. We moved back— with all our luggage — to the original (dirty) room using only phone flashlights. The rats came back, so we ended up sleeping in reception sofas with a horrible feeling, scared, etc. A staff member saw us but did nothing. No apology, no help. Next morning, when we checked the room, there were rat droppings across the bathroom, floor, etc. Poorly trained or simply indifferent staff. No help offered when we arrived with luggage down a steep slope. No action taken when we reported major issues. No acknowledgement when we left early the next morning. Not even a “what happened?” or “we're sorry.” I wish I had looked more carefully at the reviews. In hindsight, I noticed others did mention rats, loss of electricity, and lack of hot water. But I was shocked to see they still gave scores like 6 or 7 — which I now realize may have skewed the rating. Based on our stay, I give it the lowest score possible.

+ Expérience épouvantable d'une chambre sans fenêtres, sans moustiquaire, infestée d'insectes. On a l'impression de dormir dehors tellement on entend le bar en haut et les chambres autour.

- Por error mío me confundí de lugar (costeño beach) aún así el alojamiento me contactó vía WhatsApp y me dijo que debía pagar el 100% de la reserva mediante transferencia bancaria de lo contrario esta sería cancelada (con 6 días de anticipación) Cuando llegamos al lugar y me di cuenta de mi error el chico de recepción casi en tono de burla nos indica que ya pagamos y que no podían devolver absolutamente nada, ni tomar una PQRS o algo por el estilo. Su actitud me hizo entender que esto ya ha pasado antes, entiendo que es un error mío pero deberían ser más flexibles en este tipo de situaciones y absolutamente no deberían exigir pago anticipado por fuera de Booking.

+ Instalaciones

- Estaba incluido el desayuno y por tener el vuelo temprano, salí antes de la hora por lo que informe y según ellos “me ayudaron” con un sándwich que al estar a la intemperie mientras amanecía se dañó, lo cual me podría hacer daño en mi salud

- Het bed was aan vervanging toe en we zijn net als een aantal andere gasten op het park ziek geworden van het ontbijt. Dit komt mede door het water wat gebruikt wordt en de glazen die niet goed droog worden gemaakt

+ Mooi zwembad

- Het verblijf was smerig. De kamer die we geboekt hadden zat vol met schimmel, toen we dat aangaven bij het personeel zeiden ze dat ze dat gingen weg halen, maar ze hebben alleen een nat doekje er over heen gehaald. Dus het zat er nog steeds. Verder kreeg ik en meerdere mensen van het hotel voedselvergiftiging. Ze gebruiken water uit de rivier voor het eten. Er word niet goed schoongemaakt en daarmee werd iedereen ziek. Eet hier dus niet! Het zit ongeveer een kwartier lopen van het dorp, wat niet ver lijkt maar het is geen heel gezellige wandeling naar het dorp toe.

+ Es muy lindo el lugar, las personas amables, el Sr Espejo es muy amable y Cortés, si estás pendiendo en hospedarte es una buena opción, las instalaciones son muy lindas.

+ Muy tranquilo !

- El hostal Costeño es un lugar muy bonito y acogedor, ideal para quienes buscan tranquilidad y descanso. Todo se mantiene muy limpio y el ambiente es bastante relajado, perfecto para desconectarse. Además, el personal es muy amable y siempre está dispuesto a ayudar, lo que hace la estadía aún más agradable. Ofrecen actividades como fogatas y karaoke, lo que le da un toque especial en las noches sin perder la calma del lugar. Justo al frente pasa un río, donde puedes bañarte, tomar fotos y disfrutar de la naturaleza. Lo único a tener en cuenta es que está un poco retirado, por lo que no es tan práctico ir caminando si no te gusta caminar mucho. Lo más recomendable es moverse en moto o algún transporte.

+ El hostel es precioso, está al lado del río como si nombre indica. Tienen actividades y es muy cómodo.

- La habitación compartida mixta está debajo del bar y se escucha todos los pasos y hasta las charlas en la habitación

+ El personal fue súper amable! Había muchos lugares bonitos para relajar, la piscina fue muy súper bien y la naturaleza cerca espectacular con la posibilidad para observar animales. La comida es rica.

- La habitación fue un poco pequeña y oscura con menos posibilidades para guardar sus cosas. La cama fue un poco corte. Pero en el baño se siente como en la selva y todo fue súper limpio.

- Se debería de recoger más los platos y las cosas de cuando la Gente consume comida… por decir algo… a mejorar …

- Pool isn’t all that, not really deep enough to swim. Food quite expensive

+ Siempre es una buena experiencia volver a este lugar!! Me encanta la atención, las instalaciones y el ambiente de ahí!
