Hmong Sister House and Trekking

Just go to the one right next the vibe there is more social than in this one the owner were cold and not so nice in the other one I felt in love with the owner such a sweetheart

I don’t like the owner, she try to make us paie more than expeted. The room are not very great and there are some rats I don’t recommanded this hostel and my friend neither !

Would be good for trekking but nothing else, very long walk up to actual accomodation, not suitable for late check-in (almost got attacked by dogs). Very thin walls, can hear every cough, snore or heavy breath. Had very rude neighbours who didn’t let us use the shared bathroom and walked through our room in towels. The staff was nice but overall pretty bad experience

I stayed in the private room with shared bathroom, and it was very noisy because the walls were really thin and the room was right in front of the common area. I also got food poisoning after having the family dinner, so I would be careful. The staff didn’t really care when I told them. There were also some men, i think from the Hostel Family who had dinner in the Garden and got really drunk and noisy on the afternoon the other day. The surrounding is really pretty tho.

the location of the hostel is absolutely stunning but my stay was ruined by the unfriendliness of the staff ive never felt so unwelcome in a hostel before it made me feel incredibly anxious the whole time and lots of other guests i spoke to said the samsamme thing

The hostel is in the middle of nowhere so be sure to ask for help getting there especially if it’s at night. I was lucky enough that my grab driver hiked up the path with me instead of leaving me there in the dark. And very unfriendly staff

Personeel was niet vriendelijk en hadden geen gevoel voor service. Ver van het centrum (20m) taxi kost 250.000. Erg summier menu om te eten.

Hostel is erg gehorig. Ik voelde me daar een nummer. Niet aan te raden hostel. Voor mijn gevoel overrated. Wel in een goed gebied; vanuit het hostel kun je een mooie trekking doen (op eigen gelegenheid) of je kan meedoen aan een tour.

We stayed here for one night for a more authentic experience before staying in the town. The room was a little damp but perfect for what we needed and had a mosquito net. The homestay states the facilities aren’t hotel standard but we’re good enough for what you need. Family dinner is a lovely environment to meet other travellers and the food was excellent as you get a selection. We did the buffalo trek, was slow but inclined and lovely guide. Such a beautiful location! Hiking nearby so I didn’t need a motorbike (but would have been nice to explore the region more). The room was comfortable but right off the main area. The walls were like stalls with space between the floor so I could hear everyone talking outside and in other rooms (likely not an issue everywhere). The staff was not welcoming, I would ask a question and get a curt half answer. Bring extra cash because there are no nearby atms and you pay at the end.

We are very satisfied The guidance was good and the hikes where very nice The atmosphere was also very good. We missed a electric kettle in the homestay., but thy cooked water for us. The homestay has a very beautiful garden.

Very nice, very social atmosphere, easy to meet people. Paying by card is a scam as on top of the advertised 3% surcharge, they use their own incorrect and expensive exchange rate.

Lovely staff, Zizi and her sister were so kind, and had the best jewellery for sale!! Breakfast was nice. Location is lovely, but be prepared for the hill before the hostel with all your bags! Dorm was basic, just beds in the hall separated by curtains, but felt like I was staying at a family member’s house so felt safe but there’s no lockers or anything for valuables. Did trekking through the hostel which was lovely.

Lovely place to stay and some excellent trecking tours, would highly recommend to solo travellers and would highly recommend the family dinner such good value for money.

Absolutely loved this homestay, felt very welcomed. The family dinner was a great way to meet people and the buffalo trek organised through the homestay was amazing.

I stayed here for 6 nights (a long time) and really enjoyed my time. Zizi and Lily were super kind, the beds were incredibly comfy, the family dinners were incredible, and I met lots of people to trek and hang out with. I also liked that the homestay was located just outside the town, allowing to see more of Sapa.

Sono state molto accoglienti, essendo una casa in legno si sentivano tutti i rumori, Perfortuna c'é un coprifuoco che viene rispettato. La zona é molto bella, circondata dalla natura ma comunque non lontano dai ristoranti.

What a lovely stay :) great view + location (30 min walk from the village). Beautiful setting and great vibes. Really recommend doing the trek in with a guide as well

This homestay was so amazing! The women who run it are so kind and helpful. I defo recommend the handcrafts activity it was super cool

This homestay is so cosey and welcoming. Real community feeling. It is a little far out from town but getting a grab is now issue. Stunning views. Can be a little chilly at night so bring layers ! Dorms are basic but expected from a homestay for the price it’s great value !!!

I had an excellent time here, the staff is very kind and knowledgeable about the area and the building is beautiful. I really enjoyed the hiking in the area and would come again. Almost everyone I talked to who stayed here ended up adding days to their booking because the environment is so nice. 10/10

Enjoyed a two night stay at the Hmong sisters hostel. The property has great views and ample areas to sit and enjoy the scenery. Communal breakfasts (free) and dinners (98,000) are the highlight of this place. It can get cold at night, so if you are not cold tolerant, this might not be the place for you. Rustic house run by lovely women. We enjoyed our stay but had to leave early because it was cold and they didn’t have a heater in the room. I think this would be a lovely place to stay when the weather is a little warmer! The staff was helpful, dinner was delicious. The included breakfast was a little basic — I would choose to pay extra for better breakfast in the future. They also helped arrange a trek up to the hostel when we arrived, which was really fun!

Great stay in the rural area around Sapa. Everyone was very friendly and we enjoyed the Family Dinner a lot.

So lovely! wonderful and peaceful. perfect if you want a scenic getaway. I stayed longer than expected. Family dinner was wholesome and delicious - great social opportunity thats not party! the morning views were terrific. great value for money. only thing is its a 30 min drive info sapa town. great place ! definitely recommend for a chill beautiful vibe
