The double room was very basic, & small so not enough space for two of us. We had booked 2 nights but only stayed one because the sewage drain smell from the bathroom was too strong for us to get a comfortable nights sleep. Also we needed somewhere that was accessible to taxis when we checked out & this place isn’t. The room we were given was very close to the reception & a tiny sitting area so we could hear people talking & a lot of dogs barking.Good shower & view, breakfast was ok.
Only stopped for one night so don’t have a huge amount. To say. Room was ready before check in so that was helpful. Kept our bags for free whilst we did the machu pichu trek - another win. Room felt slightly damp and the shower was not great
Great location, and great rooftop! Breaky is basic but nice. Building is old and therefore shared room was tinyyy.
The views were amazing and the staff mostly friendly. The dorms were insanely small and with everybody going to bed early to wake up early for the tours, it made it impossible to move around the room to pack/unpack. Also, because it's a bit off the road, it also means that you need to walk to a major street for uber/taxi/tour pick up (just a few minutes though).
Rooms were clean and comfortable however we were unable to use cooking or laundry facilities here which was unfortunate as we chose this property with this in mind. This hostel is accessed through a locked gate - while this is in theory manned by someone 24/7 we found ourselves unable to leave for our 3am rainbow mountain tour and nearly missed the trip. Id hate to think about what might happen in a fire
Stayed there for a week. 4 times I tried to take a shower and they either didn’t have running water or it was really cold. It also seems like they don’t quite clean the floors of the bedrooms so well. The stuff are mostly nice.
Breakfast is amazing and nice upper part with terrace. The shared rooms are super small, no space whatsoever to put your things and lockers are upstairs. Bathroom was alright. It’s only possible to enter by ringing the bell which also happens a lot during the night and it’s very loud. I hope they find a better system for this. Kitchen is small and has fixed times. With two people cooking, it already got crowded.

The hostel was cozy and charming. There's a nice terrace with a view of Cusco. Breakfast is included (coffee, juice, eggs, and bread), as is a towel for showers. The showers ran hot to warm, and the place was cleaned daily. They let me safely store my items in their lockers for free while I completed a self-guided trek. This is a chill space to meet fellow travelers for outdoor adventures in the area. Close to San Blas market and other restaurants, in a historic and beautiful part of the town
We had a great stay at the Samay Wasi hostel, it was a super central location. Perfect for exploring the city. Shout out to James who looked after us, he went through our travel plans in detail to help us book the best tours to fit in our schedule. Everyone we met was super friendly and it has great views of the city. Would recommend staying here if you’re stopping in Cusco.
amazing stay at Samay Wasi for 8 nights! Great breakfast amazing view and lovely staff highly recommend Great value for money
Thought this was a great place to stay. Only qualms I had was the hill we had to walk up everytime we left town and the heater barely working. The nights got very cold. Nice quiet place overall though.
Nice hostel in a quiet but central area! Staff is helpful and breakfast is good! Not so social
Only stopped for one night so don’t have a huge amount. To say. Room was ready before check in so that was helpful. Kept our bags for free whilst we did the machu pichu trek - another win. Room felt slightly damp and the shower was not great
It was a great place to stay. The daytime staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. Beautiful views of Cusco. It was in a nice area, but I gave less than a 10 for the location because it is up higher in the hills and was challenging to get to when acclimating. That said, I got my steps in and it was definitely worth the stay!
We had a great time at this hostel! The two cats were so sweet, and the staff were all very helpful!
My stay at the hostel was amazing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We arrived very early from an over night bus and they let us store our bags and had the room ready earlier for us. They also let us keep our bags there when we did our Salkantay hike. The room was very clean, hot showers with good pressure and the view from the room was beautiful. The hostal is in San Blas great for food and cafes. The hostels cats were also super friendly.
Such a cozy place. I dont know about the dorms but the private rooms were perfect. Very clean as well. Kitchen is very small, thats my only critique. Staff was super friendly they could help with everything
Quiet hostel, more of a hotel with 2 dorm rooms so don’t expect a lively atmosphere. Dorm rooms are comfortable but really cramped!
Nice location over looking the town from the roof terrace. We stayed in a cozy little room, showers were hot, and there was tea available all day in the common room.
Awesome hostel! I ended up spending about a month here over my travels. Friendly staff and lovely breakfast ladies! Beautiful view from the deck over Cusco, perfect place to play the cool little guitar they have here. Breakfast is great - eggs, cafe, jam, bread and fresh juice. Nice friendly traveller vibe. They have storage too. This place is great, wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Cusco. The view is just epic! Thanks guys - from vortex
Best place i stayed at during my days i Cusco! Amazing view, location and helpfull staff.
Bel endroit , bien placé! Bon petit déjeuner. Tranquille pour dormir. 😴 Personnel sympas.
Amazing hostel. James and all the other staff were so kind to me when I got Salmonella. They even organised a doctor to come to the hostel and let us stay longer than we’d booked with no trouble. Great kitchen, lovely view, cosy rooms and a really nice family feel. Perfect for a relaxing stay in Cusco after big hikes. Thank you!
Struttura fantastica!
