- NOISE POLLUTION until well after midnight. Don't come here if you're looking for a good night's sleep. NO ACCURATE WARNING on Booking.com (it was so hidden and subtle that I expected something completely wrong). I lay awake until 2 a.m. frustrated by bass and disturbing music despite earplugs, as the DJ/live music was playing in the room directly below the beds. The information on the Montagu Hostel booking page is completely unclear about this. TERRIBLE NIGHT. This hostel isn't worth the price for anyone looking for a normal, restful, and pleasant stay. I've stayed in many hostels in my life, but I've never experienced anything as outrageous as paying so much for barely being able to sleep. I left two days early and didn't receive a proper refund, either from the hostel or from Booking.com. Very, very dissatisfied. Beware!!

+ La ubicación estaba bien
- Muchos ruidos de noche es un pub. No hay recepción y no hay nadie que responda luego de las 19 hs . Incluso mandando WhatsApp o mensaje de texto. No habia calefacción prendida. Cama incomoda. El personal de limpieza 12.30 pm y aun no habia pasado a recoger ni la basura ni limpiar los baños que son de uso bastante publico .cosa que no sabía. La habitación no tiene llave se deja la puerta abierta me pareció fatal. Las toallas olían bastante mal. Le tuve que pedir que la cambien. No recomiendo para nada
- As an israeli i didn't feel safe to sleep there. The girl in the reception talked with me about "genocide". She as austrian should know that 70k deaths in 2 yeats is a war, not genocide. For comparisson, the nazis murdered 1 million in a year. so i went to another hostel.

+ - Bequeme Matratze (obwohl ich nicht beurteilen kann, ob auch wirklich hygienisch - fast überall gab es Hinweise auf Bettwanzen!!! Was mich im Nachhinein nicht wundert) - Gute Lage, allerdings kein Alleinstellungsmerkmal, da es um das goldene Dachl mehrere Unterkünfte gibt (außerdem herrscht Lärm wegen den brummenden Autos/Stadtbus beim Besteigen der steilen Rampe)
- Mein Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft war alles andere als angenehm – und das bei einem Preis, der deutlich mehr erwarten lässt. Zimmer & Schlafbereich: Die Zimmer sind extrem klein und stickig, mit keinerlei spürbarer Belüftung. Das Mobiliar wirkt billig und altbacken, zum Teil wie aus unbearbeitetem Sperrholz zusammengezimmert. Die unteren Betten sind viel zu hoch, was den Einstieg erschwert – insbesondere bei eingeschränkter Mobilität oder nach einem langen Tag. Die Schließfächer unter dem Bett haben scharfe Kanten und sind schlecht verarbeitet. Auf den Bildern sieht man deutlich, wie unprofessionell die Einbauten wirken – weder ergonomisch durchdacht noch sicher. Mängel an Einrichtung und Sicherheit: Fast jede Tür ist mit einem Zahlenschloss versehen – was ohne Lesebrille zur echten Herausforderung wird. In einer Zeit, in der digitale Kartensysteme Standard sind, ist das schlicht nicht mehr zeitgemäß. In der Gemeinschaftsküche befindet sich ein Esstisch mit spitzen Ecken – der mir prompt einen blauen Fleck beschert hat. Sicherheitsbewusstsein sieht anders aus. Das Gepäckregal war defekt, unstabil und kaum brauchbar. Auch hier wieder: billiges, schlecht montiertes Holz, das eine echte Gefahr darstellt. Hygiene & Zustand: Sauberkeit? Nicht vorhanden. Auf dem Foto des Badezimmers ist klar erkennbar: Schimmelbefall an der Decke, direkt über der Dusche. Das ist nicht nur ekelhaft, sondern ein ernstes Gesundheitsrisiko. Generell macht die gesamte Unterkunft einen verwahrlosten Eindruck – von den Schlafplätzen bis zu den Gemeinschaftsbereichen. Der Boden war sichtbar verdreckt, ebenso wie die Duschvorhänge und die Wände. Lärmbelästigung: Das Schlimmste war jedoch der Biergarten direkt unter meinem Fenster. Bis zwei Uhr nachts lautes Gelächter und Gerede – trotz mehrfacher Bitten um Ruhe. Leider völlig wirkungslos. Wer hier Erholung sucht, ist definitiv falsch. Fazit: Diese Unterkunft ist nicht preiswert, nicht sicher und nicht sauber.
- La boîte de nuit au sous-sol nous a empêchés de dormir jusqu’à 2h. Insupportable !

Great Hostel! The kitchen space is clean and modern. The bar downstairs is really cool to get to know new people and it's only a 5 minute walk to the centre.
I absolutely adored this hostel! The staff was great & the location is pretty unbeatable. Innsbruck has a lot to offer, and it was fun to be in such a central part of the city. The hostel also has fun activities almost every day + advertising things to do in the city. The only issue I ran into was that the building does get quite warm, so make sure to pack some t-shirts/shorts for sleeping/being in the common spaces/etc. Otherwise, though, absolutely lovely & I'd love to stay again!
Best hostel!!! Not only because I met some cool people there but also because the vibes were so fun and everything is so clean. I stayed in a 7 person mixed room and felt 100% safe as a girl solo travelling. It’s near everything: train station, good restaurants, hikes, laundry, bar, supermarkets,etc. So I definitely recommend☺️🫶🏻
Place was inviting and I liked the style of the place. Environment friendly was a plus. Everything worked well and would come back again. Best hostel so far.
Hostel is incredibly unique and not your typical boring bunk bed style dorms. Comfy beds, hot showers, good common room with kitchen. Bar and events were fantastic, definitely try their homemade lemonade cocktails

Very clean and stylish hostel. Extremely comfy beds, amazing amenities. Plants in the rooms and no bunks, huge lockers. There is a club downstairs which had great atmosphere. Therefore it can be a bit louder until 2am, so more of a social place than for calmness. I really recommend.
Great hostel, staff were lovely. Room was great, loved the bar area and the kitchen / terrace, fantastic location . Perfect start to our trip.
Great stay! The way the dorms are set up you get a lot of space and you’re not packed in. The kitchen was also great! My only gripe was the length of curtains on the beds and especially showers, as a woman in a mixed dorm I would loved if both were longer. Other than that, great stay!

I stayed here for two nights in a female ensuite dorm. I LOVED this hostel!! There was live music one night, the staff are very nice and approachable, there's a kitchen and common space on the top floor. The atmosphere is lively and chill. I met some great friends in the dorm! Would stay again! Also, the hostel provides you with free transportation and discounts on attractions around the city if you stay for two nights and longer.

- אבל חשוב להבהיר: יש במקום שלט שמדבר על קבלת כולם, ובמקביל “Stop the genocide”. פניתי לקבלה ונאמר שמודעים לזה ומנסים לא להפלות, אבל בפועל התחושה לא הייתה נוחה. אז להוסטל- אם אתם מציגים עמדות כאלה, עדיף להיות ברורים מראש או לשמור על מקום ניטרלי שכולם יכולים להרגיש בו בנוח.
+ Big lockers to store my stuff. Beds have sliding doors for privacy and sound/light insulation (a little bit, but still) Great night time activities offered in the basement!!!

Super gemütliche Betten, tolle Dachterrasse, nette Bar und sehr saubere Badezimmer! Ich mochte es sehr bei euch! Das einzige, was ich mir wünschen würde: Spülschwamm, Lappen und Spülbürste gerne öfter austauschen, es war keine Freunde damit abzuspülen - sie waren schon sehr used und dirty-ish. :)
