A Bica Hostel

Personally, I had a great experience staying at this hostel. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful, the breakfast they offer is excellent, and the bed was comfortable

I booked to stay here for 4 nights and ended up leaving after 1, I arrived after the check in window and did not opt for self check in, which was my bad, but the following day when I did get into the property, I seemed to be the only person here, not sure if it was because it was not the busy season or what but staying as a solo female and there was no staff on site was a little uneasy. But the rooms were nice and had curtains so I imagine if I did end up staying it would have been very nice.

Très bien, bien située, propre. Mon seul point négatif est qu’il n’y est personne à la réception, donc nous ne pouvons pas poser de questions sur l’île.

Very good hostel. Not the most social, but in a great location with great facilities.

Great hostel for cheap. Provides breakfast, staff is friendly, easy to get into. The only issue I had was that its located just next to the street and difficult to fall asleep at night with the noise

Decent hostel near city center. Staff limited but responsive via email. Stayed in a clean 4-bed mixed dorm with a spacious ensuite washroom and two showers. Basic breakfast and well-equipped kitchen with room-specific food baskets. Lovely patio. No social scene or events. Child-friendly, which can be an issue. Once returned to find my room open and children from another room playing inside; their father was my dorm mate. Beds aren't marked, causing confusion about upper and lower bunks.

Beautiful hostel, great location. Rooms had big drawers under the bed that could be locked (you don’t need to bring your own lock), a small shelf in the bunk, and the bunks had black out curtains which did a great job of blocking light. Bathrooms were very clean and the water pressure amazing and got very hot! Breakfast was quite basic but good (coffee, juice, cereal, bread, cheese/meat). The staff were great but not often there so if you had an issue you had to email and wait for a response.

Bonito hostel. Muy cerca del centro, al lado de la marina. Buen ambiente, todo muy limpio. Buenas zonas comunes. Bruno encantador. Desayuno bien con buen café y pan fresco crujiente. Pero… No dan toalla. Hay que subir 1 o 2 pisos de escaleras, demasiado empinadas si llevas maletas pesadas. Cocina suficiente pero pequeña si coincides con más personas para cocinar.

very nice, modern and clean hostel. Breakfast is average. Kitchen has everything you need. There is a small garden downstairs with herbs and very calm place to sit down. Common area is small but comfortable and you can definitely talk to others here. Beds are really good.

there’s like no vibe at the hostel. it’s def hard to meet anyone bc most of the time the hostel is completely empty, no one hangs out in the common areas or anything. but the rooms are really nice and big and the bathrooms are super clean. also the staff is literally never there except in the morning for check out, so if you need anything there’s no one to go to for the rest of the day. there are really nice common areas and kitchen tho, and it’s always free bc no one is ever there.

Hatte einen so angenehmen Aufenthalt und die Zeit dadurch im Hostel sehr genossen. Es ist super sauber, das Frühstück ist lecker und die Lage gut. Klare Empfehlung :)

Excellent hostel in a good location. Simple but good breakfast and large, comfortable common area. Highly recommended!

Great hostel! The rooms and common area are inviting and clean, the self check-in was uncomplicated, and the location is great. I was there off-season, so it was quite calm and I even had a room to myself! Only downside: My room was the very first on at the entrance, and when people exited or entered the hostel it was a bit loud.

Nada que objetar, todo estaba a la perfección. Por una lesión dejé el Hostel antes y tuvieron la amabilidad de reembolsarme 2 noches. Muy agradecido por todo, gracias!.

Very good hostel and base in Ponta Delgada. Clean, air conditioning, good kitchen, shower, free breakfast, outdoor tables, etc. Rent towels for 3 euros. Easy to walk around downtown. Parking a little tough but there are options (and free). Not an especially social hostel but friendly and comfortable. 5 minute walk to natural pools swimming, grocery store, and restaurants, main square 10-15 minute walk.

Una buena opción para alojarse en Ponta Delgada, buen ambiente, y bastante céntrico. Trato agradable y acogedor. Repetiré seguro si vuelvo.

Very large 3-person suite, probably the biggest one I’ve ever stayed in and had a small little balcony. Good location, close to the marina. Only issue was the rooster nearby every morning lol.

Sehr schöne eingerichtetes, ordentliches und unglaublich sauberes Hostel mit einer sehr angenehmen Atmosphäre. Ich wäre sehr gerne länger geblieben. Rafael ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit und bemüht den Aufenthalt für alle so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten und mit Wandertips, Bus Verbindungen ect. behilflich zu sein. Einzig die Matratzen könnten besser sein (spürt zu Teil einzelne Stahlfedern) und das Licht bei den Betten ist sehr hell.

Great hostel, the staff who runs it is extremely nice and very helpful. It was quiet which we like and was very clean. Breakfast was good and the kitchen is well stocked to cook in. Overall no complaints!

J'ai vraiment apprécié mon séjour à Bica, près de tout, sécuritaire et pratique. Une mention spéciale pour les démarches que le personnel a fait pour que je puisse récupérer ma tablette oublié à l'auberge, merci énormément!

Je recommande, la chambre ,salle de bain et cuisine étaient propre ,le personnel très gentil et aidant! Déjeuner classique mais bon. Les seuls point négatif est le stationnement qui ne sont pas toujours libre autour car il n'est pas réserver à l'auberge et aussi le bruit, les autre locataires parlait fort lorsque l'heure du couvre feu était passer et fermais la porte principal brusquement ce qui créait un gros bruit:( mais mis à part cela c'est un super auberge

Very nice property! It was just us+ family of three staying. Had quite a bit of trouble with the locks leading into the room so we felt safer from a fire hazard perspective leaving the room door unlocked, because otherwise we kept locking ourselves in, making it very loud to get up to pee etc. Absolutely not a big deal to us but I could imagine it being a bit more difficult with others staying in the room so I wanted to share! Other than that, very lovely hostel! Will be back.
