overall its a pretty rough, no ones there to check you in, we went to the main hostel but no one was in the office. They left a phone number but we didn't have cell service in Belize, when we did they didn't answer. The room itself is just run down and bare, beds uncomfortable, overpriced and under delivered, not great, ac does work well lols. but don't worry about the cockroaches in the kitchen, they pay rent too. I feel like for the price you can find something better in town.
Rafael was friendly and helpful at first. However, on the first night, there was a party that started at 10 PM and lasted until 3 AM. Our room vibrated from the loud music. It was impossible to sleep. Rafael surely knew about the party and could have warned us. We found several cockroaches in our room, on top of our luggage and in the bathrooms. We booked two nights but checked out the next day. We informed Rafael via WhatsApp and asked for a refund but never heard back from Rafael.

Während wir dort gewohnt haben, gab es eine Baustelle nebenan. Die Arbeiten begannen um 7 Uhr morgens, auch am Sonntag. Eine Preisreduzierung bekamen wir auf Anfrage für die 4. Nacht. Die ersten 3 Nächte bezahlten wir voll. Für so ein kleines Zimmer, ohne Fenster, ohne Safe und ohne Schrank oder Haken an der Wand war es zu viel Geld. Uns wurde versprochen, dass niemand unsere Toilette und Dusche benutzt, aber dem war nicht so. Bestimmt gingen auch die Bauarbeiter auf unsere Toilette.
While we lived there, there was a construction site next door. The work started at 7am, also on Sundays. We got a price reduction on request for the 4th night. The first 3 nights we paid full. For such a small room, no window, no safe and no closet or hook on the wall it was too much money. We were promised that no one would use our toilet and shower, but they didn't. The construction workers must have gone to our toilet too.

- The room has tiny window and horrible ceiling light. Looks like a prison room. The bathroom has no privacy, because it doesn't have ceiling. Whole hostel is empty, staff is there only there a couple of hours in the evening. Sheets are polyester, so sleeping isn't comfy. There is only 1 bedside table and no place to put your clothes
I was not in the main house pictured, I was in overflow so I think the good reviews are based on the main 1. Pro: no one stole my stuff, there is hot water. there is a basic kitchen with some stuff and water refill, it could use an electric kettle. The gym next door is noisy but it’s the best part of my stay Con: There is no atmosphere whatsoever, just a couch at entrance beside kitchen. It kinda reminds me of prison. I never once saw any staff or house cleaner my entire time except checkin
During our stay we were the only two people staying here. I think we did not have a room in the main house, but a new house. This house seemed more like a barn that was transformed to be a hostel. There weren’t really any windows in the 6 bed dorm we stayed and it was quite dirty. The owner was kind and gave some good recommendations but overall we didn’t feel very good in the hostel: under the beds there was a lot of dirt and there was a bit of a creepy vibe but this was provably becaus...
Vriendelijke ontvangst maar daarna gastvrouw niet meer gezien. Donkere kamer, kleine keuken, weinig comfortabele stoelen om te zitten en te socializen. Toch prima om aantal dagen te zitten.
A dark room, a small kitchen, few comfortable chairs to sit and socialize in. but perfect for a few days.
Location was good. Easy check in and the owner is really nice. We didn’t like the fact that the bathroom in the private room was without a roof meaning it’s basically in the bedroom. Not much privacy and quite unhygienic, we had a large cockroach in the room maybe due to this.
Good location but my private room didn't have a window (or if it did it was very high up) so it felt like a prison. Fine if you are only there to sleep but not if you want to chill there.

+ Prima kamer met eigen douche en toilet. Vlak bij het centrum R en het beste restaurant L. Keukentje om e.e.a. klaar te maken.
- Onze kamer was aan de straat en best gehorig.

Great location, good value for money. Staff were very friendly. Confusing with the other D’s in the area but it’s very close so no issues :)

+ D’s Inn was clean, quiet, and was in an excellent location.
- The front door could only be locked with a key both from the inside and outside. We appreciate that the door remained locked at all times but found it to be a bit of a hazard that we had to unlock it with a key in order to exit.
+ Super friendly owner, nice location, well organised and clean
- Super basic rooms, there is a gym nextdoor that listens to loud music during the day, walls are thin soundwise

+ Awesome spot, close to everything. AC is huge, hot water. Belize is expensive but this was worth it.

+ Amei tudo. O quarto é perfeito. Banheiro com água quentinha, ducha excelente, ar condicionado geladinho, do lado do centro da cidade. Cama confortável, banheiro limpinho... Perto da parada dos suttles, amei!!! Nadin é ótima e super prestativa!!
