The hostel was nice but very expensive. You are given sheets to make your own bed, which at this price I wouldn’t expect. Some of the staff have an attitude problem (this was not a language barrier) I was told I could only wait in the dark windowless reception after check out. My transport was 2 hours late to collect me, I needed to wait in a more humane place with daylight in the plenty of social space they have over 2 floors, when I waited here I was stared at to make me feel uncomfortable.
Very overpriced for what it is - floors are dirty, no big lockers for luggage, just a wee one out in the hall. The female only form was ok, but the mixed one stank of human waste
i didn t like it, the position is near lapa so is good but the hostel is in a deserted road . when you arrive at the door of the hostel you gonna climb a hill all with stairs and wcery time you arrive to the top (when the rooms are) completely wet. the only good things have been the breakfast and the volunteers
Auberge très décevante, le staff ne proposait rien ou n’avais pas les informations sur les visites ou autres. L’ambiance générale est très moyenne, on a été déçue de notre séjour. Au niveau propreté ce n’est pas très propre. Nous étions deux filles et on ne recommande pas. Par contre l’emplacement est pratique et la vue depuis l’auberge est magnifique.
Hostel very disappointing, the staff did not propose anything or had no information about tours or other. The general atmosphere is very average, we were disappointed with our stay. In terms of cleanliness it is not very clean. we were two girls and we do not recommend. However the location is convenient and the view from the hostel is magnificent.
No tenían agua caliente, uno del personal un tipo déspota y mal genio... los demás muy bien, buenas personas y nos trataron de la mejor manera.
They didn't have hot water, one of the staff was a despotic and bad-tempered type... the rest were very nice, good people and treated us in the best way.
Definitely not equipped to deal with a full capacity hostel during Rio Carnival. There were only 2 bathrooms for 20+ people! So good luck if you want to use the toilet and someone is showering. The property had so many stairs to get to the room - it was a workout every time; Santa Teresa is hilly enough! Staff weren’t very friendly/welcoming if you don’t speak Portuguese/Spanish. Saving grace was it was close to the major blocos. Wouldn’t recommend.
Hostel ziet er mooi uit en is veilig. Matig ontbijt en een vieze keuken. Prima verblijf gehad, maar niet geweldig.
Hostel looks nice and safe, breakfast is good and kitchen is dirty, stay was great but not great.
O Luigi me recebeu super bem e as outras meninas também foram simpáticas. Quanto ao quarto, achei que deixou a desejar. A maior parte do tempo era escuro e bem difícil de achar minhas próprias coisas. Mas foi seguro, ngm mexeu em nada. Café da manhã honesto. Sobre os banheiros, achei os 2 de baixo apertados, pra quem é gordo n rola. E os de cima que eram maiores estavam quase sempre em uso. Se vc for br n compensa, da pra ficar em outro lugar sozinho com mais conforto e pagar menos.
Luigi welcomed me super well and the other girls were also nice. As for the room, I thought I was left wanting. Most of the time it was dark and quite difficult to find my own things. But it was safe, I didn't touch anything. Honest breakfast. Over the bathrooms, I found the 2 downstairs open, so who is fat in the roll. And the ones upstairs that were bigger were almost always in use. If you were for br n compensate, you should stay in another place alone with more comfort and pay less.
Was nice, but the AC blowing cold air on you is tough at night for some beds.

Amazing hostel with the best vibe in Rio! The staff is super friendly, the place is clean and comfortable, and it’s really easy to meet people from all over the world. Amazing stay! The best vibe and location!The atmosphere is incredible and perfect for meeting people. The staff is super welcoming and the common spaces are always clean and host great activities. Plus, it is steps from the metro, minutes from the beach, and the night parties are legendary. I will definitely return!

Very clean, functional, well equipped and nice accommodation.
Perfect hostel !!!! All volunteers are so friendly, there are great events and the rooms are super clean

Não fiquei muito tempo, achei os funcionários prestativos, um ótimo espaço e acomodação limpa!! Mas acredito que o lugar possa melhorar a iluminação, acho muito mal iluminado, escuro e tudo mais. Mas de resto, esta ótimo!
I didn't stay long, I found the staff helpful, a great space and clean accommodation!! but I believe the place can improve the lighting, I think it's very poorly lit, dark and everything else. but otherwise, it's great!
Chouette hostel où rester, de nombreux escaliers mais à Santa Teresa vous ne pourrez pas y couper. La chambre où je restais sentait constamment l'humidité, impossible d'ouvrir les fenêtre, les salles de bain, si elles n'étaient pas sales proprement dit (vous l'avez ?) ne semblaient pas bonnes à y rester J'y ai perdu mon casque mais je crois que ça arriverait partout ça
The room where I was staying had a constant smell of humidity, impossible to open the windows, the bathrooms, if they weren't dirty properly (did you have one ?) didn't look good to stay in I lost my helmet there but I think it would happen everywhere
As a solo traveller this was an amazing place to stay. Very sociable place - we did a samba class there and you can eat their lovely made pizza and chill by the hammock or swimming pool w the friends you make there. The staff were so nice and friendly and gave me all the information I needed and even joined us when we went out so made good friends with them as well. As a first timer in solo travelling I would 100% recommend this hostel and I promise you will not regret it.
Amazing Hostel!!! I planned to stay for three days and ended up staying for one month:D The stuff is amazing, the breakfast is incredible and the location is unbeatable. I met so many nice people and had the best time here!
I had a really good time in the hostel. The area of the hostel feels really safe and the volunteers are amazing. It's really easy to get in contact with other people there.
Good place to stay. They organized a trip to the beach for NYE and a bbq at the hostel. Chill social vibe staff were very friendly

The hostel is very nice overall, nice people and good chill ambiance around the pool and at night. The people working there are very helpful, location is great. One important thing to mention is that the bathrooms are very dirty, the trash is always full of toilet paper and it’s flooding on the floor. Hairs and water cover the floor.
Very kind staff! Nice and clean, good breakfast. Only spent one night here, but could come back! There is no escalator there
Pour moi le meilleur hôtel de Rio en qualité/prix. Très bien placé : 10 minutes de Santa Teresa, le quartier des artistes, 10 minutes de Lapa le quartier le plus animé de Rio, 10 minutes du métro pour rejoindre la zone sud, 20 minutes à pied de la plage de Flamengo. Une piscine, du calme la journée, une bonne ambiance le soir. Tout sur place si on ne veut pas sortir : des boissons, à manger. Un hôtel dans lequel on se sent à la maison.
For me the best hotel in Rio in quality/price. Very well located : 10 minutes from Santa Teresa, the artists' quarter, 10 minutes from Lapa the most lively district of Rio, 10 minutes by metro to reach the south zone, 20 minutes walk from Flamengo beach. A swimming pool, quiet during the day, good atmosphere at night. Everything on site if you don't want to go out: drinks, eating. A hotel where you feel at home.
