The Wanderlust Hostel

Sion, more like worn and torn. The man is like 45 years old, with two side quests- running parties for 15 year old Hispanic girls, and body painting anyone under the age of 20. The bunk beds are made of riveta crackers, but are draped in designer bedding, so that increased my 0 star rating to potentially 1 star. I really enjoyed waking up and having a staring contest with a steamy, as some pleb decided to shut off the water. Way too many pool inflatables, and not enough people wearing shoes

I stayed here for couple of nights and it was the most awfully ran hostel I’ve been to. Most of the workers were really nice especially John, Iddo and Mateo . However I found Sion disturbing, he is a middle aged man who seemed to always be around younger girls and I always witnessed him being rude to some of the staff and customers. The manager of the place also gave me bad vibes and seemed pissed off all the time. If you’re a younger female I would avoid this place like the plague.

Walked into the pits of hell. An opioid crisis waiting to happen. Dark and gloomy with a lingering stench of 6 day old socks. Wouldn’t recommend

Just bad. Beds are like bricks, rooms have no locks on, pool goes as deep as your knees and isn't clean

Heel erg partyhostel. We kregen geen sleutel voor de deur, dus iedereen kan binnenlopen. Muziek stond VEEL te hard tot heel laat en ging ‘s ochtend ook al vroeg aan. Totaal geen ruimte in de kamer voor je spullen. De straat vonden we ook niet leuk, niet veel te doen. Werden ook niet leuk ontvangen door het personeel, kwam geen hoi vanaf. Wifi viel vaak aan en werkte soms dagdelen niet. Airco werkte ook totaal niet. Soms veel te warm en soms veel te koud. Het zwembad was goor.

Good location and facilities, cheap place to stay for full moon parties but the large dorms aren’t great. Not enough plugs and shared access with c. 20+ volunteers. Also a tad disorganised.

Have stayed at so many hostels but this has to be the worst for sure. On the day of check out I saw the cleaning lady didn’t even change sheets on the bed next to me. She just wiped it and tucked it in. Felt absolutely disgusted. The toilets are smelly and the whole place seems run down. The beds are horrible and I won’t even get started about the pillows. Honestly, wanted to check out after the first night itself but had a non refundable booking.

Toilets are stinky and facilities are not well maintained.

The staff were friendly, nice events in the evening and the other guests I met here were really fun. However, the facilities and cleanliness were potentially the worst I have ever experienced in a hostel (I’ve been travelling for 1 yr). Only 5 working toilets between EVERYONE - the others were blocked the whole time I was there. The pool was also broken and drained so we couldn’t use it. Considering the high price, there’s no excuse for facilities like they were from the set of The Walking...

Really affordable hostel with amazing facilities like two massive tvs, pool and speakers to turn it up on a night out but pool table ping pong and living area all built to be chill, was clean and the staff were so helpful fun and kind, would definitely stay there again

So good. Had an amazing time as I was able to use the pool and kitchen. Charlie, Amelia and Millie were especially good staff members :)

Great hostel with a really nice vibe, clean rooms, and friendly people. They also organized fun activities, which made it easy to meet new people and enjoy the island even more. The volunteers there were super cool and made the whole atmosphere feel really welcoming from the start. Special thanks to Sári for being so helpful and for giving me the best tips on what to do around the island. Would definitely come back!

toilets were all broken, had no water for one night, rarely anyone at reception and my friend got bed bugs bites.

Pai war so nett zu uns. Ich hatte mein Handy im Taxi vergessen und sie ist extra mit mir nochmal zum Hafen gefahren und hat hin und hertelefoniert, so dass ich mein Handy wieder habe. Sie ist die Beste!! Das Hostel war auch gut, man kriegt, was man erwartet. Roller mieten geht sehr gut:)

Staff incredibly friendly, especially Emma thank you so much for being understanding. Incredible prices for the facilities provided, probably the best place to stay in Koh Phangan.

Very social hostel with nice reps, but it wasn't that clean and the beds weren't that nice.

A very clean place with good staff and people working there the manager is attentive.. all the people willing to help! Good space and vibe.

great hostel, super sociable and perfect for party without being too crazy

Had such a great time at Wanderlust! The atmosphere is such a cool vibe & very social! The place is clean and all the staff were welcoming! I want to give a shout out to the manager Ema who was helpful and polite with my checking. Also Sion the volunteer who told me and my friends the beast beaches, viewpoints and restaurants! He also did a group tour jungle treck & made the evenings really fun with a cool quiz night and beerpong tournament!

I had a nice time during my stay at the wanderlust. Also I want to give shoutouts to John, he’s a volunteer there and he’s super kind!

Amazing stay! We stayed here for 7 nights. Very clean, very social! Well managed. Iddo made our stay here very memorable! Would recommend!

A great hostel and i especially like that there’s toilet/shower cubicles separate from the rooms, instead of an ensuite in the room. A guy working there called John made me feel so welcome and he was so friendly, love ya john 🫶🫶
