Horrible !! Unreliable staff, dirty facilities, no informations about anything. They sold me a shuttle that didn’t showed up and didn’t helped me with it. I want my money back !

This hostel was absolutely disgusting. The rooms were dirty and clearly not cleaned properly. The beds were terrible — I could feel the springs through the mattress and woke up with back pain. The sheets even had holes in them. BUT THE BATHROOM WAS SO DISGUSTING, I TOOK A SHOWER AT ANTOHER HOSTEL!!!Would not recommend

No hot water. No real ceiling. No locks on doors. Blankets were NOT cleaned between guests- proven.

We booked 2 beds for 2 nights. On the second night the staff came to us & told us that we had to share the single bed on the 2nd night as they double booked. With no choice we had to accept & they said that we would receive a discount for the trouble. Upon check out they were hesitant to give us some of our money back & acted as if she had no idea what we were talking about. After going back & forth for a while they gave us SOME of what was promised. Worst hostel in Guatemala & showers are cold

Wouldn’t recommend this hostel. I came back one night to find someone else in my bed because they double-booked it, and the staff still refused to refund me. It wasn’t just me either—other guests had their beds reassigned and stuff moved. When I asked for a refund, the staff member who spoke perfect English the day before suddenly pretended not to understand.

We arrived at 2pm, listed check in time and our room was still dirty, they told us they didn’t know when it would be clean. Their cleaning person no showed. We were exhausted. When we did gain access to the clean space an hour later it was disgusting. It smelt like cat urine, the bathroom was mouldy, the floors extremely dirty, the linens smelt like someone else’s musty body odour. The patio outside the room was extremely loud into the night and no staff are present overnight. No water in ...

Hostel pas cher mais à éviter. Nous nous sommes fait voler plusieurs affaires et le petit déjeuner compris n'est pas consistant. Le seul point positif est la terrasse avec la vue sur le volcan. Mais les dortoirs sont petits, et surtout, dans le nôtre du sable tombait du plafond et des insectes sur le lit. La cuisine est limitée en équipement (pas de liquide vaisselle pendant quelques jours)

DO NOT STAY HERE!! A man came into our dorm at 6am. He was very drunk and tried to climb into a girl’s bed. He kept harassing her until a guy staying in the dorm asked him to leave. I found out later that he was a member of staff and he regularly does this?? Really dirty bathrooms and kitchen too. Only positive was that a nice man at reception helped me break my lock when it got stuck.

This place is very misleading. I’m not sure how they got 9.2 on Hostelworld. Travelers be aware.

Eine der schlechtesten Unterkünfte in denen ich war. Alles ist heruntergekommen und kaputt. Das WiFi war sehr schlecht. Die Badezimmertür im Dorm ging nicht zu. Die Lockertür konnte man nicht öffnen, da die Matratze davor lag. Mein Bettlaken hatte Risse. Nachts sind viele Kakerlaken im Zimmer rumgelaufen, ... . Keine Empfehlung!

Amura Hostel is a must! The location is unbeatable, and the staff are absolutely amazing. The rooms are nice and clean—overall a great experience. Wifi is also fast. Highly recommend!

Excelente experiencia. El hostal tiene un ambiente muy agradable, limpio y cómodo. El personal fue muy amable y atento en todo momento, siempre dispuesto a ayudar y dar recomendaciones. La ubicación es práctica y segura, ideal para moverse fácilmente. Las áreas comunes están bien cuidadas y el ambiente es tranquilo, perfecto para descansar.

Very friendly employees, a nice quiet place to stay! Enjoyed a great two nights here. The rooftop terrace views are lovely for sunset .

I had a really pleasant stay at Amura! The people at the reception are really nice and helped me to book my shuttle and with any questions I had regarding my stay. There are a lot of places to chill, the rooftop has a view of the volcanos and you can see fuego erupt! I had a shared girls dorm and each bed has their own light and socket. They have a kitchen available and the toilets and bathroom are separate from each other! I really liked it here

Muy buen hospedaje, ideal para descansar. Todo estaba ordenado, el ambiente tranquilo y el personal siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Lo recomiendo totalmente si buscas algo cómodo y accesible.

I had a very pleasant experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was very attentive and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location is ideal. I recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for comfort and good service.

I highly recommend staying in Amura, the staff is very helpful, I made a mistake with a reservation and the whole town was full the day I arrived but they did everything as possible to make a space for me that night and have the best experience, people there is very chill and the place is bigger than it looks like, I will definitely come back there

Mi estadía en Hostal Amura fue excelente. Las habitaciones son cómodas, limpias y el ambiente es muy agradable. La atención del personal fue amable y siempre dispuesta a ayudar. Lo mejor del lugar es su terraza en el tercer nivel, con una vista espectacular y perfecta para relajarse, tomar algo o disfrutar del atardecer. Sin duda, un hostal muy recomendado para hospedarse.

I had a very good experience at Hostal Amura. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and always willing to provide excellent service, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. Furthermore, the effort they're putting into the renovations to improve the facilities is evident. Each change adds more comfort and modernity to the place. Without a doubt, a highly recommended spot with a bright future.

The rooms are next to communal area and desk where host spoke loudly till late. I was woken throughout the night to banging on the door which was quite distressing - i answered to guests that had not been given the door code - i also didn’t get the code at first! When i explained this to hostel and how i had not slept much and was upset (i was due to do the hike the next day) they were really rude, did not apologise and insinuated I was lying or it was the guests fault. Veronica was lovely.

A nice hostel in a good location. The staff here are so friendly and go out their way to make you comfy. The showers aren’t the nicest and got a small electric shock whilst trying to readjust my shower head because of exposed cables. Nicest chill rooftop and good value for the price

Nice location and nice personal. Not a very social hostel so if you‘re solo travelling i would recommend going elsewhere. Showers weren’t optimal, hot water only running if you open it a little so its either low pressure and warm or good pressure but cold. Toilets also werent the nicest.

an okay hostel for a couple nights

The location is good without being amazing and the volunteers were nice. The issue is with the room. It stinks and everything is super dirty. The bed is wobbly so if anyone moves both bunk beds move. Pay a bit extra and stay somewhere else

The location of this hostel is very good. It’s very close to the city center and the main attractions, which makes it really convenient. The main downside is the cleanliness. The bathroom was very dirty, and it didn’t seem to be properly cleaned during my stay. The trash bin was not emptied the entire time I was there and was already full. The rooms could also be cleaned much better

The place looks a bit rural but it‘s very clean and nice to be there! Staff is super friendly and helped me with a lot of things. It‘s in the best location close (3 min walking) to the main attraction church where they do food markets everyday with delicious food for a cheap price. Can really recommend to stay here.
