MIMPIMOON Langkawi

There’s free bread and peanut butter whenever you want it but the kitchen did have ants everywhere. The hostel didn’t feel the cleanest and the toilet paper is outside the bathrooms so you have to take it from a tissue packet before you go in, you also have to poop into a bag and bin it, and the shower water was cold. But I think this comes with being on an island. The hostel owner is super lovely but does only take cash

Super friendly owner and a cozy common area. The location is a bit far from anywhere where anything may be going on, and it's not quite as social as I'd usually like. The main building and dorm doors don't lock, and you get the feeling anyone could enter.

Nette gemütliche Unterkunft mit Outdoor Sitzecke und Hängematte zum relaxen. Ruhiger aber sozialer Vibe. Es gibt Outdoor Shower und Toiletten. Die Unterkunft kümmert sich um ein paar Katzen die sich sehr freuen über ein paar Streicheleinheiten. Ist etwa 20min zu Fuß vom Strand entfernt.

I loved this hostel! The host was super lovely, such good energy 🫶🏼 facilities were good enough, the social area is a bit awkward, definitely needs a few more hammocks. But honestly it’s a great wee hostel. Would definitely stay here again. Johnny the dog and all the cats were my favourite addition 😍

Simple but nice breakfast of toast and peanut butter, good showers and toilets and very kind and hospitable atmosphere. Some upgrades are on the way which will make it even nicer. Location is a little bit off but you can walk to town and the beach but it takes some time. Great value for money!

Loved everything about this hostel, perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy Langkawi with other backpackers. Staff were amazing too, Tara (the host) would stop at nothing to ensure smiles were on the hearts and faces of all who were lucky enough to stay there. 10/10

Had a good time at this hostel. Nice atmosphere and the volunteers were great. Lots of nice amenities such as 2 bikes and a few board games. Only thing is that there was no keys or locks for the main door and dorms, but at least there was a small sized locker where you could put a rucksack in and use a padlock to secure it.

Mimpimoon was one of the best hostels I’ve been to in Southeast Asia. From the moment I arrived, Tara (one of the amazing workers) welcomed me in and I immediately felt at home. The hostel has such an amazing vibe with the cutest pets and I finally felt that I found a place I could truly relax. From beach days to group dinners, it felt so easy to make friends. Considering it’s the cheapest hostel and you get breakfast, the value for money is insane. Thank you !

Great hostel, really felt at home here, if I could I'd give staff 6/5. Loved the cats and the dog. The showers could be a little nicer (something to clamp the shower head to would be nice) and the hostel doesn't provide toilet paper, so you have to buy it seperately.

Great stay at Mimpimoon; the value for money was amazing. I made some really good friends here; it feels more like a home than a hostel.

friendly host and volunteer, fair sized lockers, quiet street, good sized showers and four of them, three having toilets, free daily tea, coffe, bread, penut butter and drinking water, fridge for us, air con over night, relaxed social space space.

Amazing hosts!!!

This place was my hostel over Christmas and New Year, and it felt like a second home. Great social scene, I had another family for those important couple of days. I would go on an adventure one day, and chilled around the hostel the next. Felt very relaxed here to do what I wanted. I enjoyed the restaurants near by, the privacy of the location, and the company of cats.

This place is so special. I booked for 1 night and stayed 3 months as a volunteer. Mami is an amazing person and all the house pets are my favourite. 10 minutes walk to the beach, great AC, fridge, filtered hot and cold water and a great vibe. Cannot recommend enough for people to come here 💖
