The View Hostel

Let them know that I would be checking in at 9pm since I had difficulties with my itenirary. The hostel emailed me a few minutes after 9, when I was already on the island and walking over (the walk from the pier takes a while since it’s far away) that they were told they only need need to wait till 9 and are going home hence my booking is cancelled. I believe the website still charged me the deposit + the first nights rent!!! Had to walk around phi phi during peak season and try to find a bed

In general, a very nice place with great views and lovely staff. But don't stay there right now, there is heavy construction work going on. From 8am to 6pm there is incredible loud noise from cutting metal etc. You can hear it in the dorm and you basically can't use the terrace. Apart from that: They provide some snacks, toast, bananas, tea/coffee which is very convenient. Towels are changed every day (!). For the locker you need your own lock. The comforter has no cover, so bring a blanket.

The staff were so kind and helpful. They help carry your bags which is a life saver! Unfortunately I had to cancel a night as the hill is SO STEEP! As a plus size person, I would recommend staying elsewhere. If you like hiking and a quieter vibe, this is the place for you! You will be sweating when you get to the view, and restaurants/beach/nightlife will be a trek away. The view is spectacular, but unfortunately I didn’t have a window like I saw online. Super hostel comme le nom le dit avec une vue incroyable ! Perché en auteur donc assez sportif pour s’y rendre. Les chambres sont grandes, spacieuses et très propres. La literie est très très dure c’est le seule point négatif. Thé café gâteaux eau gratuit et à volonté ce qui est très appréciable. Hostel très calme je recommande.

Great hostel

This hostel would probably be the quietest on the island (not very quiet still can hear music from the beach). The hike up to the hostel is a nightmare but having breakfast with that view? Chefs kiss. Absolutely zero social life. Everyone seemed to keep to themselves. But bed had curtains and the showers were decent. Free food and tea (like noodles and toast!)

the staff were friendly, they bring your bag up, the location isn’t great and as a female solo traveler you might not feel the safest at night walking up, but the view you get for it is amazing in the morning tho, so kind of worth it. you’re allowed to take snacks and noodles and there is a laundry service

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! I found the location to be fine considering the size of the island, and definitely worth the slightly longer walk due to the amazing view of the sea!! The staff were lovely and super helpful with doing laundry and booking tours. Free breakfast was a bonus and the rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The vibe of the hostel was chill and welcoming so would definitely recommend!

We had a really nice stay in the Hostel. The staff was super friendly and made a great effort for the guests to have a nice stay. The dorm was always very clean and tidy, there were cookies, bread, tea/coffee, hot/ cold water and bananas all the time. The social area was also very nice, you have a wonderful view over Phi Phi. Honestly the view is amazing. They clean everything every day. They have free water, coffee & snacks as well. The walk up isn’t that bad. They also foresee someone to pick you up from the ferry and to help you with your bags so it’s very nice of them! The vibe is warm and social with travelers more on the 25+ side, definitely not a party hostel. Overall I would stay here again!

This was the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff team was amazing — always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Everything was very clean and well organized. Some people mention the distance, but honestly that was the best part. The island is small, so it’s easy to get anywhere, and staying a bit further away means it’s much quieter at night. Down in the main area it can get very noisy. I would definitely stay here again.

Super Hostel, au calme dans un cadre magnifique

It was a lovely property! Comfy beds, lots of space! The staff are lovely, they clean your beds daily and have lots of free amenities for you! Pre warning, it is a bit of a trek up there, especially in the heat! But it’s not a long walk from the pier, around 15mins. If you’re looking for a quieter stay then it’s perfect! The view is definitely worth the steep walk! The steep part doesn’t happen until the last 5mins of the walk anyway! Very gorgeous!

Great value for money. And the view is really something. The location is a bit further away from the main stripe and the harbor but in contrast it allows for a much more relaxing time and quieter sleep. Staff is attentive, it’s clean and they even provide a very solid breakfast. Highly recommend.

Everything was great and the staff were really nice most of time, however, very rude to my friend. He booked an extra day at the start by accident, couldn't arrive on checkin day. He called them, they said it was fine to come the next day. He was happy to pay full price. He arrived and the reception lady (I think owner?) said booking cancelled. He walk up hill with luggage for no reason. Wouldn't let him charge his dead phone. She had no care for him getting lost with a dead phone.

Great hostel with the best views of phi phi, can’t beat waking up stepping out of your room and onto the balcony (which has been extended with sofas) looking at the view enjoying coffee/tea. This was actually my 2nd stay in this hostel, will be making it a 3rd when I visit Phi Phi

good atmosphere

staff lovely, super clean hostel and free biscuits/fruit/coffee/tea/toast/water available at all times. Up a big hill and is far enough from Slinky/Lo Dahlum beach to get a decent nights sleep. Not very social however, more of a 30years+ crowd so if you’re a solo traveller looking to meet people i’d stay somewhere else! but if you’re looking for a place that’s more relaxed this is the perfect place for that
