Green Belly Surf Hostel

This hostel has a great location just steps away from the beach. We paid for the AC dorm, but the AC was not turned on until around 6pm and was often turned off extremely early in the morning, the room was unbearably hot. The guy that works at the hostel directed a guest that was checking in to the bed I was staying in. All my stuff got thrown off my bed and the worst bit is, they had just reorganised my dirty sheets. There are way better hostel options.

Das Hostel hat einen super Standort! Die Temperatur / Luft im Raum ohne Klimaanlage ist kaum aushaltbar. Ansonsten top!

Basic but functional

Really nice hostel, clean, good equipments and many social places. BUT THERE ARE COACKROACHES IN THE BEDS.

The pool area and rooftop terrace are very nice, the hostel is kept pretty clean. The bathrooms are more than basic. There is no communal kitchen. The container 16 bed dorm has good sturdy beds, curtains, top bunks no railing, but just not enough space to move with 2 or more people being around, not talking about sorting luggage. The 4 bed dorms do not have AC.

Great location! Very close to the beach. The rooms are very hot though, especially during the day.

Ein eher einfaches Hostel. Es gibt keine Küche und generell keine Möglichkeit Lebensmittel aufzubewahren. Einige in den Dorms hatten ein Problem mit Ameisen im Bett. Das Personal war super nett als ich dort war! Allerdings sind es ausschließlich Volunteers weswegen das Personal wechselt. Die Toiletten waren wirklich nicht sehr schön aber in Ordnung. Der Außenbereich war dafür umso schöner. Die Umgebung ist meistens ruhig, trotzdem hört man hin und wieder laute Musik.

The price is incredible. It’s a very small hostel and you can socialise easily. I’d definitely go again. The staff was clean in all the time. It just got a little too hot at night because my room didn’t have AC.

Hostel vraiment très chill et à l'ambiance surf authentique. L'endroit en lui-même n'est peut-être pas le plus class ou le plus propre, mais ça fait partie de la vibe. Je le recommanderai les yeux fermés et je reviendrai ici tout les jours

Hottest room I’ve stayed in during 5 months travelling. Do not stay here, slept outside rather than in the room

Staff was nice and friendly, location very good! But the hostel was overall very dirty and not well maintained. No airco in a very hot container where we slept. Towels and bedsheets were very dirty.

My stay was eh. Top bunk doesn’t have a pole to help you up so I was fighting for myself every time I got in my bed. Kitchen isn’t for guests it seems. Bathrooms are fine for outside. As a black traveler though… I didn’t feel welcomed and ppl barely spoke to me even after I spoke to them. So I was happy it was just a night then on to the next!

Great hostel. Amazing location, staff are so lovely.The common outdoor area is great and they had yoga twice a day during my stay. Big con is that there is no public kitchen. I would definitely recommend staying at Green Belly :).

Pros: - Good value - Location one block away from beach - Nice social spaces Cons - V small dorm - Can’t draw the curtains - they’re permanently closed so hard to get into bed - Limited space to hang wet stuff, get told off for hanging it on the balcony - Female volunteers were unfriendly and unkind, e.g. when a 19-year old backpacker asked to hire a board the receptionist made it out to be a great inconvenience to her and didn’t offer any help - Boards more expensive than...

Hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, der Manager hat uns auch netterweise beim Buchen eines Shuttles geholfen für unsere weitere Reise geholfen!

Etablissement super a tous les points de vues ! Idealemment situé, le perspersonnel est très chouette, les dortoirs sont bien équipés ( prises, rideaux, ventilo, lumière) et la piscine fait vraiment plaisir !

L’hostel est très bien placé et super agréable. Les gens sont super chill et on peut y louer des planches de surf. Il y a du café gratuit la matin, la possibilité de faire du yoga et une piscine propre. Le seul bémol est que la wifi ne fonctionne pas et les dortoirs sans AC sont vraaaaiment très chauds la nuit

could be nice and cosy, but faced many problems during my stay: room light and shower not working, water not working during one night, no kitchen,..

The staff was very kind and the hostel is in a great location. The pool and outside areas are beautiful. During our stay the hostel had just opened and therefore it was a little bit of a construction side, during the day there was much work going on and we did not have a kitchen yet but we’re allowed to use things from the staff kitchen.
