Hostal Baruch

We hadden 2 kamers geboekt en bij aankomst bleek er maar 1 beschikbaar. Het verblijf was dus al slecht begonnen, tot overmaat van ramp bleek dan nog eens dat het water ‘s nachts wordt afgesloten… Dit is een zeer onaangenaam gegeven als je met 4 op de kamer slaapt en zelfs de wc niet kunt doorspoelen… Misschien iets dat best vermeld wordt bij de boeking of aankomst…

Really rude staff, messed up our booking and didn’t even care that there was no other place to go.

A functional enough place to sleep but I wouldn’t recommend it if you have other options. The person at reception was very short with me and made me feel like a bother for being there (after I waited 20 minutes in the lobby for someone to show up at 2pm). No security or lockers or door key for the dorm. Loud roosters starting before 6am. Free breakfast was nice. Clean. Nothing to do in the immediate area but the public bus will stop directly outside it. Too expensive for what you get.

This hostel was allright but not more than that. If you are looking for a cheap and good place I would go here. But there is nothing fancy or cosy about the place. It was clean and provided me with everything I needed. Nothing more.

Cet hostal est un peu cher pour ce qu'il apporte hormis le personnel sympathique. Baricata est un village mignon mais l'hostal ne propose qu'une petite douche pas très propre pour tous les dortoirs sans cuisine ni petits avantages et avec des toilettes loin de la chambre comme on a pu en croiser ailleurs pour le même prix. Réveil peu agréable avec le coq à 5h, le chien qui aboit. Hostal bien pour une escale d'une nuit.

We made a reservation through the site last minute, but according to the app there was still space left so it should be no problem? When we arrived we were told there is no space for us. Then they said to come back at 8pm. We said no, we paid for 2pm check in. So then they said come back at 3pm. One of us had to work so we came back at 5:30 and then still waited about 45 minutes for the room. Woman at the front desk was rude and kept talking over me. Horrible service. Would not recommend.

Its a little nice family-owned hostel. I booked it since its really close to rio hostel and I enjoyed my stay there. The family was also really supportive and hangover friendly

Not at all a social place - people stay here only to go to Rio Hostel to party. The town is dead, nothing to eat/ drink/ see... basically it's not a place for travellers, only for those who want to go to Rio but don't want to stay at Rio,

To be honest i just needed a hostel for the night after a party at the rio hostel and for this it was perfect! But in general its not that crazy cool vibe there, its really simple and i didnt like that there was no mosquito protection in any way (i didnt want to shower because there were way too many mosquitos in the shower, but i also dont know if there is a way to change that). It was cool that i could come back at any time and the door was open but it kind of also felt scary to know that anyy...

I only stayed one night here whilst I attended the nearby El Rio Party. This place was perfectly adequate for that, my room was surprisingly large and very secure so I felt comfortable to leave my gear here while I was out. Good value for money.

You know, i think its a good place to stay. we took a 3p/x private. Clean and tidy - exactly what you need for a night in buritaca last minute.

The private rooms are lovely and the aircon works so well. Perfect place to stay if your going to El Rio but want some peace and quiet and a nice sleep afterwards. The staff are so lovely and helpful and the pizza is amazing too!

This hostel was perfect for me and my friend. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, the food was nice and the rooms were comfy and clean. Would recommend to anyone.

The hostel is in a perfect spot to go to the El Río parties (which we wouldn't recommend, they end way too early before really getting going). Their staff is really nice and helpful. Having AC and clean and quiet rooms is really nice. Unfortunately they don't officially have a kitchen. The food they serve in the restaurant is alright. When we were there they had power outages and the Wi-Fi is quite weak in the rooms upstairs.

I stayed in a private room and it was the perfect place to relax after months of travelling. The room could have used hooks in the bathroom and hand soap but other than that it was great. Good location and within walking distance to Buritaca Beach.

Great hostel ran by a lovely family special thanks to the young lad who went above and beyond for anything we needed.

Très bien pour 1/2 nuits avant d’aller à la fête au Rio hostel Pas trop de douches communes et aucune à l’étage (ni de wc) sinon dortoirs propres et lit ok Personnels gentils (essayer juste d’avoir l’appoint car ils n’ont jamais de monnaie)
