Odyssey Hostel

+ Staff helped book us a taxi and explain to the driver to wait for us and bring us back. Free bread when I had food poisoning (that they gave me).

- Breakfast pate sandwich gave me food poisoning (was the only thing I ate different to my girlfriend in the 72 hours leading up to it). There was one bathroom for sharing on the 1st floor between 4 or 5 rooms, which obviously presents problems when you have to spend hours in there due to a dodgy pate sandwich. The room they put us in was right above the office and kitchen. We had to ask the office staff to stop playing music and the kitchen staff to stop shouting when we were trying to sleep. When we asked to move rooms away from the noise they told us we had to pay full price for a new room. The pool water looked green and murky, I can’t imagine anyone would want to swim in it. Had to stop a cat coming into our room so safe to assume they go in there a lot. Not a good location for anything in the town.

+ Der Roller den wir für den Loop geliehen hatten war sehr gut und es hat alles problemlos geklappt.

- Es gab kaum warmes Wasser, keine Heizung und das bei 5 Grad im Winter, das Taxi das bestellt werden sollte war nicht verfügbar und uns wurde nicht Bescheid gegeben weshalb wir fast den Bus verpasst hätten. Nur aufgrund eines sehr bemühten Mitarbeiters, der einen Freund fragte kamen wir dann doch noch an. Die Küche hatte auch viel früher zu als angegeben.

+ Clean, has a pool and pool table.

- The entire building shakes and creaks everytime someone walks, it's impossible to sleep, the AC didn't work, it smelled like smoke the entire time inside the room. Don't come here if you like sleeping.

+ Poco o nada

- Habitación grande pero con el colchón que se notaban los muelles y eso que era la habitación “VIP”, imagino que solo porque era privada. Limpieza muy muy deficiente. Lo primero que nos llamó la atención es que el baño al llegar estaba mojado (como de una ducha reciente) y después había pelos de cortarse la barba alguien dentro de los vasos que había en el baño (no estaban lavados ni cambiados) y había pelos de mujer por todo el suelo del baño. Para seguir avisamos de que al día siguiente no iríamos a las 6:45am, porque teníamos que coger un bus a Sapa, les preguntamos si nos podían hacer el desayuno o algo para llevar y nos dijeron que el chef llegaba a las 7 y que no había posibilidad (bueno un mal menor, nada importante). Pero la cuestión es que al salir a las 6:45 después de esperar un buen rato en recepción para hacer el check out, ahí no aparecía nadie y nosotros nos teníamos que marchar al autobús. Pensando que cobrarían la habitación desde booking, nos fuimos. Pues no, no lo pudieron hacer desde ahí. Y entonces empezaron los mensajes por whatsapp durante ese día insistiendo para el pago, hasta que conseguí que les hicieran el “bizum” una persona de Vietnam. Resumen: cama incómoda, limpieza muy escasa y trato escaso.

+ There was breakfast and the rooms had a tv, i guess thats nice

- We had the VIP room which was very moist and smelly with lots of mold in the cushions. Also its directly next to the dorm so you still hear everything. I wouldn’t want to stay there even for free. Friends had the bungalow which was good apparently, and even the dorm looked a bit less damp

+ La location de moto est facile, l’hôtesse est très serviable et la moto était en bon état.

- - problème de propreté - moisi partout

+ El desayuno es correcto. El personal es amable aunque tampoco me dieron mucha información sobre el loop. Si no alquilas moto con ellos no se implican mucho en atenderte.

- Las ventanas y la puerta no cerraban correctamente. El aire acondicionado no funcionaba en caliente por lo que hacía frío en la habitación. Alojamiento caro que no cumple con las expectativas.

+ Motorrad Verleih für ha giang Loop hat super funktioniert.

- Betten sind super unbequem. Man hat jeder Feder gespürt.

+ La posizione è buona, difronte alla fermata del bus, quindi ok. Personale poco disponibile, sarebbe stato utile ricevere più informazioni sulla condizione delle strada dell’Ha Giang loop e qualche feedback local, ma nada. Ti permettono di depositare i tuoi bagagli mentre sei a fare il giro

- Struttura sporca, stanze non insonorizzate, spifferi

+ Very close to the bus station. And this is the only good point. It's possible to check in in the middle of the night. We arrived at about 3 am, contacted staff in WhatsApp and they checked us in without any problem (but charged this early check in as the full day). The breakfast was good and they have a restaurant in place (quite expensive though).

- We stayed in the dormitory room and the bathroom on the second floor was very dirty. The staff didn't give us towels because they couldn't find them. It was noisy, extremely noisy starting from 6 am. The staff was unfriendly and in general there was not a good vibe, we felt an urge to change hostel instead of staying there for another night as we planned. Basically we paid the full price for 3 hours of sleep and breakfast and it was not enough to feel well of course. And the staff didn't care about anything. I have an impression they "care" only if you buy the loop tour from them.

+ Top top top! Unglaublich faires Preis-Leistungsverhältbis, neue Bikes für den Loop zu einem fairen Preis und einen tollen Service. Kann es zu 100% empfehlen.

+ Phòng nhỏ nhưng trang bị hai giường đầy đủ gối và chăn dày, có bàn uống trà trong phòng, cửa sổ nhìn xuống sân thoáng mát. Phòng tắm chung sạch sẽ, thoải mái. Nhân viên hỗ trợ nhiệt tình, phục vụ món ăn sáng chu đáo. Ở đây còn có cho thuê xe rất thuận tiện.

- Sàn gỗ nên dễ nghe tiếng động ở phòng bên cạnh và tiếng bước chân ở ngoài hành lang.

+ Bữa sáng được chuẩn bị sẵn và phục vụ chu đáo. Tôi còn có thể thuê xe và trả xe tại khách sạn rất thuận tiện. Các bạn nhân viên rất nhiệt tình hỗ trợ.

- Phòng hơi có mùi ẩm nhưng nhìn chung vẫn sạch sẽ và đầy đủ tiện nghi cơ bản

+ Top service. Goede uitleg en prma bungalow. Motor echt goed geregeld.

- Nou niet tegen maar bungalows beetje sluip door kruip door.

+ Die Mitarbeiter waren extrem nett. Alle unsere Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Das klingt wirklich übertrieben aber in diesem Fall war es so. Obwohl wir z.B. unseren Nachtbus nicht über sie, was im übrigen empfehlenswert und günstiger als 12goasia ist, haben sie uns bis zum Bus gebracht und dem Fahrer sollen erklärt. Jederzeit wieder.

- Es gibt nichts.......

+ La habitación muy amplia y el baño como en las fotos.

- El baño por la mañana olía a cañeria.

+ El desayuno

- Pero la habitacion tenia demasiada humedad que se sentia hasta en las telas. Al ser un hostel suele haber mucho ruido en los pasillos.

+ De werknemers zijn super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Toen we geen taxi konden vinden naar onze bus, werden we zelfs even gebracht!

+ Die Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und waren sehr zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück hatte eine gute Auswahl und war super lecker. Es gibt auch eine weitere Karte für generell und auch dies war sehr sehr lecker. Das Hostel ist generell sehr schön und man fühlt sich sofort wohl!

+ Hatten ein Motorrad über das Hostel gebucht. Das Bike war top und neuwertig. Hat alles super funktioniert. Kann man nur empfehlen

- Nichts zu beanstanden
