The security is TOO good. I arrived late due to a late train and could not get in. No email, no code. I got through the first gate due to someone else going in, but could not get through the second. I ended up having to go to my friend’s house early which was a two hour bike ride in the dark. The other reviews are
I was left in a room with a mentally unstable man who drank alcohol in my room. He farted so loudly and made very weird noises. He was soo big and very scary to have an interaction with. I called the office so often to let them know I felt unsafe and if possibly switch rooms, they didn’t answer. They never even called back to know why someone called so much. I had to leave my room And stay in the kitchen area. Had a really terrible experience here. Only + is the location of the hostel.
On 15.05.2024 I arrived to the Hostal Gästehaus Kaiserpassage. At night I discovered that my bed was infested with bed bugs, there was another guy in the same room and he said that his bed was fine. I checked the other two beds in case I could get some sleep in the other bed and they were infested as well, I took photos and video of the bugs. I couldn't stay and at 2 am I had to leave, take a shower and find another place to sleep. It was the worst experience ever.
Die Zimmer sind mit Bettwanzen befallen, daher sind wir nach einer Nacht wieder ausgecheckt. Ein Ansprechpartener war weder im Hostel zugegen noch konnte telefonisch jemand erreicht werden.
The rooms were infested with bedbugs, so we checked out again after one night. an Aprechpartner was neither present in the hostel nor could anyone be reached by telephone.
I couldn’t check in and couldn’t sleep there. I called many times but no answer. So I needed to go to other hostel. Extremely bad service for customers.
Ich war schon in sehr sehr vielen Hostels, in den verschiedensten Länder. Das hier war leider das unangenehmste! Die Atmosphäre gleicht die einer Haftanstalt. Auch als Frau habe ich mich hier nicht wohl gefühlt.

I couldn't get into the hostel at all. I didnt receive any email about the required late check in, so i started calling the hostel at the date of arrival. After multiple attempts, they answered and confirmed that i will receive the codes, no issues. At 8 pm i receive an email that i have to pay the remaining amount of payment immediately before arrival or they are not giving me info for check in. We reserved another place literally while boarding the plane...
habe keine hohen ansprüche, vor allem nicht bei dem preis, aber auf den toiletten hat es sehr stark nach urin gestunken. überall waren schilder wie man richtig zur toilette geht, das man spülen soll usw. das hostel scheint ein eher unangenehmes klientel zu haben. Habe mich dort definitiv nicht wohl gefühlt und war froh als ich wieder gehen konnte. Von der lage her super.
I don't have high expectations, especially not at the price, but on the toilets it smelled very strongly of urine. everywhere were paintings on how to go to the toilet properly, what to rinse, etc. the hostel seems to have a rather unpleasant clientele.
Cuisine sale. Locataire trés bruyant . Trop de chaffage ds la chambre.
Kitchen sale. tenant very noisy. too much chaffage from the room.

Hostel was in a passage near the city center, in the passage there were multiple signs for a brothel.... The Hostel itself was kinda clean, check in was done via telephone and email beforehand, on the phone staff was very kind and uncomplicated. There are many rooms, most have 4 beds. There are shower cabins for women only and for everyone. The toilets were pretty clean, the shower cabins quite small. If you are in a group, it's nice place to stay, if you're a woman and travel alone, think twic...
Ist das was man für den preis bekommt. Die Männer Klos sind trotz duftsprais geruchsvoll und immerhin liegt was auf dem bettgestell was sich Matratze nennen darf für 1-2nächte OK nim orstöpsel mit sehr ringhörig

The location was great, I was there for a short trip. I feel like the rooms could be clearner, particularly floors and, ventilation could be better but for the price it was very resonable. Thank you and merry christmas!

Location is great. But the room was a stinky (because of people inside), for the locker you need a 1€ coin, it doesn't work with a padlock.

Der Aufenthalt im Gäst*innenhaus Kaiserpassage war sehr familiär und einladend. Die Räumlichkeiten sind so eingerichtet, dass Menschen die Auswahl haben von einem Rückzugsort oder in der Küche bei Gesellschaft. Es machte für mich wie einen heimeligen Eindruck in einer Wohngemeinschaft. So hatte ich wenig Sehnsucht nach zu Hause.
The stay at the Guesthouse Kaiserpassage was very familiar and inviting.The premises are decorated in such a way that people have the choice of a retreat or in the kitchen at Gesellschaft.It made for me a homey impression in a community apartment.So I had little homesickness.

The entrance looks a bit dodgy but it's safe. Check in was somehow not that easy since the door was close even short after 3 pm and I could only get in because someone got out. It's also not very convenient if you want to drop your bags before check in time. There is an only girl bathroom which is quite nice and cleaner than the other one. The location is great and close to everything.
A good place to sleep one night. no social spaces just a place for sleeping. Nevertheless for that purpose very adequate. the only problem I had is they didn't give me a towel as it is included and the reception was already closed to complain
