Hostel Colombo Venice

The plumbing was very noisy including the central heating which kept me awake. Also noise coming from people watching TV late at night. Basic furniture.

Lo unico bueno era el chico de recepcion. No es el de la foto. El baño super sucio y el barrio muy peligroso. Todo hombres borrachos. Eramos una amiga y yo y pasamos miedo. Muy ESCASO.

The location of the hôtel is good, the employée at the réception was almost friendly but,,,, The room was not nice, with broken bed light, broken mosquito net for the balcony, & my girlfriend did not find the shower clean enough to take a shower ,,,, and,,, We have been wake up by the police at 6 am for a security check, I did travel 4 years around the world & this never happened to me,,,, So even if I will remember this hostel all my life, it's not for the good reason,,,,

Las fotos no coinciden con el lugar, es completamente diferente!!! La ubicación es excelente ya que está a 5 minutos caminando de la estación de tren, pero hay que tomar en cuenta que no es como las fotos

The tap water was not running smooth each time we opened it. The toilet was dirty. The whole bathroom needs to be re-furnished. The room walls and ceilings were dirty.

Un poco descuidado, las sábanas limpias, pero mobiliario roto, cama rota, paredes sucias, nada que ver con la foto.

Cleanliness is at a terrible level. The toilet was left with smoking smell after the first night room cleaning. Not to mention the room & toilet condition is like remains at the 90's with bad maintenance. Suggest the owner of the property to do major renovation in order to rent out in near future.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado para ir directamente a la isla de Venecia. La habitación y la limpieza estuvieron excelentes. Recomendado.

The air conditioner was broken, the toilet seat was broken and no help was available to have things fixed. The room was suffocatingly hot overnight without aircon but there were no mosquito screens or nets, so we couldn't open the windows. Despite this, the room already had mosquitoes. The bathroom was dirty beyond a superficial clean. The whole place was run-down. The proximity to the station was great but I would never stay there again.

This hotel has the potential to be a nice place to stay. Unfortunately, the owners seem not to appreciate the value of small amenities and the place is run like a third-world hole-in-the-wall. No room ambience whatsoever (a single harsh overhead light). They swab the place down like it was a hospital ward with strong, foul-smelling cleansers. The breakfast area is utterly unappealing and there is an associated restaurant I didn't eat at for the same reason. Not cheap enough for its shabbiness.

It was a nice experience. It wasn't the most modern of spaces, most of the sockets in our room didn't work and the location, despite not being in the actual Center of Venice, was great once that the train station is only a 5 minute walk from the Hostel. However, it is a quite remote area and kind of dodgy, we saw some illegal activities happen right next to the hotel. However, the staff was very nice and let us keep our bagpacks there before the Check-in and even change clothes.

Staff were very helpful but bad rooms with shower not working properly and loud noises were heard from other rooms. I’m a tolerant traveller but this noise was way too much. However, considering the prices in Venice. It was worth the money if there was no other choice. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Overpriced for what you are getting. The staff is nice & helpful, but the location and quality of the place does not match what you pay for. Would not recommend for solo female travelers. Not the safest and welcoming area.

The staff were very friendly and helped when we had questions. The room was a bit small for 4 persons but it worked for 2 days. It smelled fresh but there were dirt on the walls, mold on the shower curtain and mosquitoes coming in from the ventilation. We were very mosquito bitten when we woke up in the morning. But overall it was a good experience and you get what you pay for, it is a good price.

Location is nice, it is very near to bus and tram station. There is airconditioner in room. All staffs are really kind and nice. Also they are at front desk until late night so you can get help when you need. Only problem is that sound insulation is not good, but I think it is not this place's problem, it is all same issue for most of European houses so it was fine for me. I recommend this place.
