Auberge de Jeunesse HI Arles

Positive about the hostel is the beautiful garden and nice people like Jean-Pierre, who are really trying to provide a nice stay to the guests. But the rooms are very old, the lockers are outside of the rooms, women and men have to share the toilettes. There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms. I was there during summer and the nights were extremly hot without sleep. There are no keys for the bedroom. You can lock the door from inside, but when not everyone is in the dorm, it is a problem.

I have already been in a lot of hostels and I honestly think, this was the worst. It is located in an environment, that didn't really feel safe, especially at night. Also there was no way of getting to know other guests. The whole hostel seemed to be quite old and nothing was very clean nore intact. Also the person at the reception didn't want to believe and trust us when it came to another guest who was approaching some of us guests in an inappropriate way.

1. Check in at 5pm, but the front door is locked and there is no reception during the day 2. There is no ventilation in the room once the window is closed, so if someone is drunk the whole room smells like alcohol. 3. I got bitten by bed bugs on the leg 4. The whole building went out of electricity during the night and it only came back at 7am, meaning my phone was not charged.

Als alleinreisende Frau habe ich mich sehr unsicher gefühlt, da man die Zimmer nicht abschließen konnte/ es keine Schlüsselkarte gab, um in das Zimmer zu gelangen. So hätte jeder Gast des Hotels einfach jederzeit ins Zimmer kommen können. Der Check-in ist erst nachmittags und es gibt keine Möglichkeit, sein Gepäck vorher abgeben zu können, weil man vor der Check-in Zeit vor verschlossenen Türen steht. Trotzdem sauber und nettes Personal , aber als Alleinreisende würde ich nicht wieder ...

Va bene il prezzo basso ma la struttura ha bisogno di una spolverata... i letti sono tremendamente scomodi, materassi vecchi e macchiati. Ti devi fare il letto da solo, non ti danno asciugamano (e se la chiedi te ne danno una piccola). Docce sprovviste di sapone. Speso 35 euro per una notte in camerata da 8. Ho visitato tanti ostelli, anche in città più costose e in centro, che per lo stesso prezzo o poco più forniscono parecchi più servizi.

Alles in allem ok, würde ich aber nicht nochmal machen. Besonders für Junge Reisende, die gern mit gleichaltrigen sich austauschen wollen nicht geeignet. Als ich da war, waren hauptsächlich äötere Männer in dem Hostel. Es gab auch keine internen Veranstaltungen. Insgesamt wirkte es immer sehr alt und verlassen. Das Personal war hingegen immer nett. Es gab auch nur an einer Stelle im Schlafsaal eine Steckdose, was das laden der eigenen Geräte immer etwas anstrengend und unsicher machte.

Cold showers, another person had access to my private locker. It was a quick 10 minute walk to the city center. Nice outdoor kitchen.

Pas de climatisation, les toilettes sont barrées la nuit et on entend beaucoup les autres chambres/portes qui claques la nuit. Casiers à l’extérieur de la chambre ce qui est peu pratique et la chambre ne se barre pas. Pas d’accueil entre 10h et 17h. Ambiance très tranquille, pour ceux qui le souhaite.

Für eine Nacht ok, aber länger nicht ! Schlechte Lage und viele alte Leute :/

Betten waren sauber, alles andere nicht so wirklich. Lage war etwas außerhalb, Frühstück war in Ordnung. Die Zimmertüren hatten keine Schlösser, die Schließfächer haben sich außerhalb der Zimmer befunden. Das Wasser in den Waschbecken ist nicht abgelaufen und einige Toiletten hatten keine Klobrille mehr.

It has very warm and friendly vibe :) My room kinda smell weird but Im not sure if its bc of the other guest or not. But the common area was very clean and in nice condition.

Great hostel. Reasonable rates. Lovely breakfast. The staff were fantastic. Slightly cold in the night so maybe a thinker blanket might have been better.

This is a fair option for Arles although there are few options in this category. It’s what you expect from HI - super clean and well maintained if a little clinical. Installing AC in rooms would be a good idea given the climate and the building design. Free breakfast is handy if basic. There are good spaces for relaxing. It’s a popular choice for many from weekend visitors, cycle tourists, Arles photography festival goers.

Bonjour personnel sympa , le seul hic, un peu bruyant surtout les dortoirs côté jardin où ça peut parler fort très très tard, peu de WC en service à l'étage pour pas mal de personnes, sinon bon petit déjeuner et très propre

Surprisingly fun and social experience in what was otherwise a pretty traditional youth hostel. Free coffee and basics for breakfast with a nice outdoor kitchen. Your mileage may vary during school terms or in winter. Staff are cool. The only major con is that the rooms are inaccessible from 10am-12pm for cleaning (despite 5pm check-in). I ended up going without a jacket one rainy day because the cleaners wouldn't let me upstairs.

Great location, big hostel and lovely staff. It was super basic but I still loved it, felt like being on school camp? Huge eating area, and pin to get inside. Beds are comfy :) Cons - bathrooms are average, shower heads are hand held.

J'ai vraiment apprécié l'équipe, Andréa l'autrichien, Sébastien et le personnel en salle et en chambre. J'étais accompagné d'un ami fragile, l'équipe s'est mis en 4 pour lui faciliter les choses. Je reviendrai certainement

Perfect hostel, went here for the Arles photo fest, cool staff, had an issue with accommodations and trains due to large fires causing problems, staff allowed people to stay in the common area on matteesses overnight for free or very cheap to look out for them. Will be coming back next year again!

J'ai adore cette auberge l' accueil est top disponibilité amabilité le personnel est au top nous conseille sur ce qu il faut visiter Et après l'ambiance grâce au personnel et les touristes de passage j'ai amélioré mon anglais et mon allemand J'ai fait de belles rencontres avec des américaines de Louisiane et des sud africains des personnes partant pour st jacques de Compostelle et le mélange de générations ou tout le monde communique Je reviendrai avec grand plaisir

Really nice staff. There was a school field trip here so be prepared for a lot of kids, but they were really well behaved. Bathroom/showers aren’t much but they do the job. Beautiful outdoor area. Abt a 30 min walk from the train station.

Super auberge de jeunesse. Le personnel est très arrangeant et agréable :)) proche du centre et très propre, que demande le peuple ?
