WARNING TO FEMALE TRAVELLERS! I was sexually assaulted in a mixed dorm, and was told a similar thing had happened to a different woman just a week before, by a different man. I have never had this issue in shared hostel rooms before, and it's terrifying that I am not alone in this experience at this hostel. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I booked a 2-night stay at Rock Palace Barcelona for Feb 4–6 and emailed on Jan 27 to reschedule to Feb 6–8 due to a schedule conflict, getting no clear response. I then informed the hotel by email of my late check-in on Feb 5, yet upon arriving at 00:30 on Feb 6, I was told my booking was cancelled for a no-show and no room was available—despite seeing other guests check in much later with no issues. Hice una reservación para 2 personas y al llegar nos colocaron en cuartos diferentes y su única solución fue colocarnos en un cuarto con más personas, no se ajustó el precio y no hicieron nada para resolverlo de una manera eficiente. Habitaciones muy olorosas ya que apagan el aire acondicionado y por lo que también durante la noche hace un calor insoportable. La cocina muy sucia y los baños también. Además hay que tomar en cuenta que también te cobran las toallas para bañar.

This is the worst reception I have ever seen. If you want your vacation to be ruined, ask the staff to check you in. You can smell marijuana in the hallways, elevators and common areas. By the way,if there were curtains on the bed, it would be more private.

Dirty rooms and bathrooms. Would not stay again

Je déplore les problèmes de climatisation, pas de Clim à mon arrivée, une Clim arrêtez en pleine nuit la 2e nuit. Une piscine fermé alors que c’est pour bénéfices de la piscine que j’ai réservé dans cet hostel, quand on demande au personnel si elle va ouvrir, tout le monde s’en fiche… breff je ne recommande absolument pas !

Solo female traveller review - Good location but that’s about it. Felt like the rooms and shower/bathroom were gross and the smell in the dorm was awful. Dorms were freezing cold. Most front desk staff weren’t that friendly. Vibes in the hostel weren’t for me. Okay if you’re only staying for a night and just need a bed to sleep, but you could probably find a nicer environment for this price.

Pedimos dos camas juntas, el primer día, estuvimos juntos. El 2do, sin previo aviso, nos cambiaron de habitación y en ausencia nuestra sacaron todas nuestras cosas poniéndolas en bolsas negras. Mencionaron que esto se da por un problema con la app y que no pueden hacer nada. Horrible experiencia, no volvería.

I don’t know where these good reviews are coming from. I did not enjoy my time at this hostel at all. It was probably the dirtiest hostel I’ve ever been in the rooms didn’t have temperature control so it was super humid from the shower steam it felt almost sticky at night. The pillows were absolute paper. My neck hurts so much. I used my travel neck pillow as a pillow instead, the sheets were not clean at all. They were hair on them, someone stole my shoes. I know this isn’t on the hoste...

The staff at the place never gave our deposit money of hundred euro back The lady was very rude. I don’t remember her name but she was very very rude.

I stayed only a night but the staff was friendly, all the facilities were clean and everything was great, thank you so much !

My favorite hostel in the world. Felt super friendly and comfortable. Great people, great staff, great stay!

Good location and near transport links. Staff are enthusiastic and helpful. Lockers were good and secure. Only issue was the large number of people to a dorm. They do daily our crawls and other activities so if you’re looking for a party hostel it’s great however because of this many people get back to the rooms late at night which isn’t ideal if your trying to sleep. Great value for money compared to alternatives.

If you don't party, it's not the right hostel. Small room 8 bed, no ventilation, we needed to complain several times during 4 days staying because people were smoking on the deck right next to the room. They didn't do anything except put a note in the room after 4 days of complaining. otherwise, the hostel is very clean, good mattress, good pillow, very little kitchen so if you making your own dinner, come before 20h because there are just too many people and not space. Staff was okay, no help

The hostel has a vibe for adults in their early twenties who want to party late and have fun. Really not adapted for those who want calm And tranquility. People in my mix dorm would arrive at 2-3am every night smoking and talking loud event if the curfew was at 11pm and smoking is prohibited. Shared kitchen with staff, really hard to have space to cook your own meal. Good amount of equipment and facilities, close to tain station but not the main attractions of the city. Kind staff at reception.

We loved our stay at the hostel, the rooms were beautiful, comfortable and clean, as well as the bathrooms. The staff was very nice and helpful. The were a lot of planned activities, which were great. Especially the one hour unlimted sangria and the pub crawl hosted by Bambu on the 17th of April was absolutely amazing. We recommend the hostel and would visit again.

I was traveling Solo and this Hostel really was perfekt. I felt safe during the whole stay and I met a lot of great people. The guides from the hostel like Bambu were so welcoming and offer amazing tours around the city as well as shared dinners and pubcrawls which were so much fun. I would recommend staying at Sant Jordi and I will definitely visit again :)

I had a lovely stay here, and always felt welcomed and looked after very well. Bambu was especially good to me and my friends, always felt safe with him! Definitely recommend :))

The hostel is very nicely decorated. There is a great kitchen space with terrace. Upstairs there is a terrace with swimming pool which we loved. Every night the staff cooks amazing dinners for 5 to 7 euros per meal. The staff was extremely nice, we went on a trip with Bambu who was the best guide ever. He shares his knowledge with great enthusiasm. The other staff members were also always helpful and gave great tips. Every night we could join pub crawls and clubs for free, super fun! Reccommend!
