I don’t understand why this place has high ratings, it’s alright but the check in process was a nightmare. We mistakenly booked a room for two instead of three, but the host pretended not to notice until we had paid and were about to go to sleep to tell us. He insisted that we had to pay double the amount in order to have a third person stay with us. You also aren’t allowed to hold onto your room key, which did not put us at ease. I think this hostel is over priced. It is very small and there is hardly any room nor any activities to let hostel guests meet each other. So I definitely would recommend you skip this one if you are solo traveling and would like to have those opportunities. The private room is also painfully small for the price you pay. Security was friendly and the spaces were clean. I think the best thing was the location was so close to everything though there are many hostels in the area.
Did not match the 9 star rating it has. We immediately felt uncomfortable. Only one room key was provided to our party and it had to be kept at the desk when we left the hostel. Couldn’t take the key with us like any other normal hostel. We weren’t given bag tags or tokens for the luggage we kept in the hold before official check-in time. There was no way to ensure we or our belongings would be safe. We checked out within a couple hours, they didn’t even question it. Unsettling.
Under going renovations. Not a pleasant environment, very basic. Nothing like the photos. Would not stay there again. They should be closed whilst under going extensive renovations, I want to ask for my money back please
Great staff, very helpful and clean. Great location. BUT - the room.... in our room (211) which has 2 single beds, the toilets is part of the room with partly transparent glasses, and no privacy at all... The room itself is extremally small , cabinet is small with no shelves so not really useful.
Buena ubicación, servicios accesibles, hubo un problema entre la reserva desde la app y al llegar al lugar con la recepcionista, yo había solicitado un cuarto para dos personas con cama doble, pero me ubicaron en una habitación con una cama simple. Y al volver en la noche el siguiente recepcionista se dio cuenta que en el sistema figuraba una habitación simple, y se tuvo que pagar un cargo extra para que mi pareja con la que viaje pudiera quedarse en la habitación.
Good location, accessible services, there was a problem between booking from the app and when I arrived at the venue with the receptionist, I had requested a room for two with a double bed, but I was placed in a room with a single bed. and when I returned in the evening the next receptionist realized that the system included a single room, and had to pay an extra charge so that my traveling partner could stay in the room.
Great location and friendly staff. Nothing overly fancy but clean and everything you need!

absolutely loved our stay at Hostal Palermo! As 3 college abroad girls we felt beyond safe with the 24 hour reception. They were so friendly and held our luggage for a very long time! The rooms were very clean and we were walking distance to Gothic Quarter! They helped us out with any questions and overall had a wonderful experience! Recommend to anyone wanting a cheap clean place to stay as they explore the city!

Excellent location and great value for money. The room was clean and well presented. We had 3 single beds which is rarity to find. The only bad point was that the bathroom slide door didnt hang correctly and therefore personal privacy was compromised.

Wow this is the way to do Barcelona! This accommodation was perfect for us, one adult and two children. We had plenty of space, comfortable bed, clean room, fantastic amenities, perfect location and amazing staff. We will be back and will be staying here again. Thank you for making our stay unforgettable.
The room is very small, but all in all I have to say that everything was really clean, the staff was very friendly and the location is just in the heart of Barcelona. I would visit the Hotel again, suggest it to anybody who is travelling alone and has not that much money to spend.

Easy for me and my young daughter to get a room and navigate the city from here.

Had an en suite and it did the job just great for the price! Great location and great staff and housekeeping came regularly to clean. The room was small but had everything you needed. Would recommend.

Ottima posizione, puoi spostarti tranquillamente per arrivare in qualsiasi zona di Barcellona, metro Liceu a 100 metri dalla struttura, pulizia buona e comodità delle stanze nella norma... consiglio questa struttura per chi vuole essere in centro a pochi passi dalle migliori attrazioni della città e spendere il giusto prezzo!
Great location, you can move easily to get to any area of Barcelona, metro Liceu 100 meters from the property, good cleanliness and comfort of the rooms in the norm... I recommend this property for those who want to be in the center of the city a few steps from the best attractions of the city and spend the right price!
Very accommodating staff. 24 hr reception much appreciated. Luggage store after checkout was great. En-suite pods very clean and worked well. Could have done with a kettle in the room perhaps? Overall very clean and comfortable. Good central location made it a bit noisy but other things outweighed this. Thanks!
