Shin-Osaka Tomato Guest House

Really don’t understand why the reviews was high like this Booked 3 nights spend 2 nights Too many rules The check in looked like a job interview The manager is always here doing some stuff even early morning in the room Really annoying Sorry but travelers are not 10 years old

We felt very uncomfortable here. Be careful. Mould in bathrooms, crappy silicon job, broken shower hook so had to hold the shower head up myself. This place should not be a hostel. All the tomato stuff was creepy too. Man struggles to speak English and understand travellers.

I would not recommend it

The location cose to a train and there are airplains flying. The lock at the door was broken but the owner fixed it. The deco is...interesting. Everything tomato. Even the candies...the owner absolutely keeps the rules. I left my bag & picked it up in the evening. I desperately needed to charge my phone to navigate and I pluged it in in the living room. there was no other guest, I did not disturb anyone but he kicked me out and I had dinner in the street. Not very polite

The owner was over controlling and didn’t respect personal boundaries and space.

One bit of advice, don’t stay there if you want to meet people. This place had no vibe. You are basically staying in someone’s home and the ‘common area’ is locks at a certain time. In my opinion the owner is very rude and condescending. But do stay there if you want to read tons of rules, stuck all over the place saying what you can and can’t do.

beds were uncomfortable and it seems no one spoke English besides the main staff. very cute place but I don't recommend long term for international travelers

The bed and washroom were clean and pleasant and the place was generally quiet which was nice as I was just passing through for a night. However, the worker was unfriendly towards me and oddly strict about rules. He was going to charge me a whole other night just because I asked to stay 15 extra minutes to finish my tea! Even though there was no one else in the common room. Not very kind. Rules should be followed but this was over the top. Don’t recommend for more than a night.

El administrador es un poco neurótico, pero tiene un buen corazón. Creo que falta mejor limpieza en las habitaciones y sacar cosas guardadas (libros y muebles de cocina).

There is a culture and language barrier there. Yes indeed. But for the location (close enough to Shin station and metro) and price, no right to complain here. The bed/bedcubes where great. Sitting area was good for conversation and meet and greet. Over great value.

We really enjoyed our time at Shin-Osaka Tomato Guest House. The host was welcoming, sweet and helpful during our stay

I had a really amazing stay the staff is really nice and helpful and the hostel is a really cozy place to stay at. I really recommend it thank you for everything. :)

A small, cozy, clean, safe and well kept hostel. 10 minutes walk to the next metro station.

Eines der skurrilsten Hostel in denen ich je war! Es war super. Der Besitzer ist super freundlich und aufmerksam. In der Nähe ist eine Metro Station, also super zu erreichen.

Quirky hostel, owner was very nice and friendly and sheets, beds & showers were clean but other areas could do with more dusting and it was a little dated and the mattresses were a little on the thin side. But for the cheap price it's fine for a couple of nights.

Very good place to stay in Osaka. The staff is lovely. everything is clean. 20min from namba and near to the train station, the localisation is quite great too! I recommend

They deserve a 10/10 rating! The host is very lovely. The beds are small, but I slept perfectly in it. The toilet and shower are clean. It is a really cute guest house with a theme in it. There was a Family mart near by and the metro and trains are only 8 min walk. I really recommend this hostel. Thank you Tomato for your hospitality

Lovely guesthouse and the staff was really friendly and really helpful. The tomato theme was super cute. Super clean and with all the essentials. A bit further away from the city centre but a 8/9 minutes walk from metro station. I do recommend it ☺️

It was a pleasure to stay in this hostel, everything you need is provided, the metro station is around 7-9min walk away and the owner is an amazing person! Very friendly and helpful, I’ll definitely recommend staying at the tomato house❤️

Beside no toilet at 3rd floor, everything is perfect, very clean and spacious room for store the luggages.
