JO&JOE Hossegor

I loved my stay! Good value, very clean for a dorm, comfy beds, great location, nice garden, and good breakfast. Free surfskate rentals were a huge plus! The staff was so kind and helpful, especially Sophie, who was like the sun during my rainy days in Hossegor. Every time I needed something, she would take a moment to chat with me, and she was so sweet and funny and charismatic that I would always leave the reception desk with a goofy smile on my face, not even knowing what I was smiling about.

Très bon hostel, proche de l’océan, le service est parfait, l’équipe est chouette ! Je recommande !

J'ai passé un super séjour, bien que trop court, le personnel est agréable et accueillant :) L'extérieur est magnifique ; chaises longues pour se poser, bar (très bons cocktails), food truck...Ambiance très sympa, très surf, et j'ai fais de belles rencontres personnellement. Bien situé, pratique pour aller voir le coucher du soleil ☀️

Functional for sure. Bit too large to have a nice community. There are things to do and there can be no fault put on staff or the faculties offered.

Third experience here at Jo and Joe. As usual everything went well. Accomodations are good, the venue is very nice. Dorms and common areas are clean. People's are respectful. Even if the lack of "hostal vibe" is still a big issue to me (if you're looking for that, you might consider other options...)Maybe it would be interesting to create some events for the people of the hostal ? (Welcome drinks, daily activities like yoga etc, local food/drink tasting...

Für Gruppen bestimmt super, aber als Alleinreisende fand ich es schwer, Kontakte zu knüpfen, weil das Gelände so groß ist. Die Küche ist mäßig ausgestattet, die Bäder waren größtenteils sauber.

Équipe professionnelle et aimable à la fois. Hostel est très bien situé et bien équipé. Ambiance reposante et festive à la fois.

Excellent emplacement, personnel au top, et lieu vraiment adapté pour faire des rencontres. Je recommande vraiment Jo&Joe Hossegor ! Pour info, la cuisine est un peu petite, il est difficile de stocker sa nourriture dans le frigo et il peu y avoir des embouteillages pour cuisiner. Aussi, les matelas, confortables au demeurant, sont recouverts de plastique, ce qui peut gêner les nuits de fortes chaleur (les chambres n’étant pas climatisées).

It is a great place to stay if you are French. There is not the same atmosphere you have in other hostels, very difficult to connect when 80% of the people don’t speak English, staff included. The breakfast doesn’t have gluten free options. Very expensive, but clean. Never seen that many good looking guys all in one place. Overall a good experience. During dinner/happy hour a lot of outside people come to have a drink, it is pleasant.

L'auberge est très bien placée et l'ambiance est super. La cuisine est un peu petite pour la taille de l'auberge mais ça n'a jamais posé de problème lors de la préparation des repas.

The beds are great, the rooms are clean, and the location is amazing. Personally however, i just didnt get that hostel social experience like i did in the other hostels i was in that week. Maybe it was the period i booked for, but an event organized by the hostel to meet other travelers would have been a nice kickstarter. Still had a good time surfing tho
