HI Vila Nova de Foz Coa - Pousada de Juventude

Do not go here!! There were bed lice in my room. When I told the staff they did not even look surprised. I asked for my money back but they did not want to give it, I could only sent an e-mail to some ‘person in lisbon’ who would decide if I could get a refund. The two ladies who worked there did not even apologise for all of this. Worst hostel experience of all my travels!! Also the womens shower does not work, forcing you to use one that is only seperated from the toilets with a curtain.

A cozinha tem os móveis em mau estado. Os utensílios para cozinhar estão estragados e nojentos. O micro-ondas está em muito mau estado, parecendo até perigoso para a saúde, usá-lo.

Angenehme Jugendherberge mit freundlichem Personal und reichlichem Frühstück. Zimmer und Waschraume sehr sauber und familiengeeignet. Grosse schattige Terrasse mit wundervollem Blick über das Tal. Super Lage, um die Kleinstadt foz coa und die prehistorischen Felszeichnugen des Coatals zu besichtigen. Vielleicht könnte man ein paar Stühle in die Zimmer stellen. Danke für alles! Uta und Familie

Tout est nickel. Un endroit Calme et paisible ,le mr qui est à l’accueil parlait français et très courtois. Très belle expérience

A pousada é muito simples por dentro mas muito bonita e limpa. Tem uma varanda com uma vista incrível para sunset. E o pessoal é muito simpático!

This is a truly unique hostel. The view from the hostel is breathtaking. It's very clean and has good facilities. There's not much to do in town but the nearby paleothic museum is great, but if you're looking to relax for a few days this is perfect. Getting there from Pocinho is a difficult 2 hour hike or a 10 minute taxi (call Jorge Velho Taxis). Worth noting: don't come here if you're afraid of dogs. There are two big, aggressive dogs down the road that the irresponsible owners let roam free.

Great place, felt clean, safe and with plenty of space, good facilities, nice breakfast included. Location was just a little bit out of town so a bit tricky to get to late at night or when coming from further away, but actually, it had fantastic views in its location so all was good!

Bonjour, Très jolie auberge de jeunesse, avec un personnel très disponible et serviable. La vue de la terrasse est somptueuse pour des petits-déjeuners paradisiaques et la nuit sous les étoiles. Bon petit-déjeuner avec gâteau maison :-) Grande cuisine pratique. L'auberge est éloignée du centre-ville (30 minutes à pieds) et des restaurants, il est recommandé d'avoir une voiture surtout avec les températures très élevées en été.
