Banana Beach House Lagos

it’s nice but not worth the money. wifi doesn’t work, no plug in my upper bunck bed, breakfast served late and is not complete at all. they charge for towels.

Had a very hostile run in with the owner on our last day that tainted the whole experience and the end of our holiday. On top of that, the lights and sockets didn't work and the shower was terrible. Also the property cancelled my reservation on the day we had the run in with them, so I had to contact the website directly in order to be able to leave a review. I don't know if this was done intentionally or not. Family dinners looked great and Igor (surf instructor) was brilliant!

The private rooms are NOT worth the money. My boyfriend and I booked this hostel because of all the good reviews, but sadly Got a bit dissapointed. Our stay was not as good as it could have been, because of our room, that more looked like a broomcloset with bunkbeds in. It was right next to the kitchen and terrasse and you could hear everything going on. In the day its okay, but when people want Night snacks at 02:30 it wakes you up. Happend 2 nights in a row. No sleep ruins the excperience.

Very social hostel and nice staff, everybody was very welcoming and helpful! But unfortunately the hostel itself was quite underwhelming and not as nice as on the photos. The included breakfast options were a little disappointing too, mostly toast and jam. The bathrooms were quite dirty, also the power outlets in the bed bunks didn’t work. Overall not a bad place to stay but I don’t think that I would book it again, in my opinion it’s just not really worth the price yet.

Notre séjour à Banana Beach Hostel s’est bien déroulé. Par contre, il y a eu plusieurs problématiques bien que ce fut parfois hors du contrôle des propriétaires. I think at that price point for a private room we expected a bit more. The bathroom wasn’t super clean, the bed was quite shaky, the sheets we were given had hair on them, there were no hand towels or paper towels in the bathroom, there was no soap when we arrived, but they did fix that. It was pretty hot at night with no ac and the showers were brutal, it was either freezing cold or burning hot with no in between. Location was okay, but a bit far from the city center. The staff was super nice...

Really social hostel without being a party hostel, lovely people and a good schedule of events or dinners to encourage everyone to socialise together. That said there’s not loads of space to chill out at the hostel without being surrounded by people all the time. Super close to the beach and viewpoints which was nice. Enjoyed my time here

This place is the best! So social with the family dinner every night and the nicest volunteers. The owner Jason clearly loves what he does and makes sure every guest is having a good time. I can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely the best hostel I've ever stayed at!! Social without being a party hostel. Great vibes, I'm sure it partially depends on your random hostel cohort, but the staff is amazing and the family dinners are so fun :) So close to the beach too.

Jason has facilitated such a beautiful place for people to stay and feel like a family whether you’re there for one night or for a year. I fell in love with this hostel within 30 minutes of being here and interacting with the other guests and staff/volunteers. I can not recommend this place enough, I never once felt lonely or uncomfortable here and frankly I didn’t want to leave the hostel during the day unless it was with the rest of the “family”. Not to mention the wonderful family ...

I wish i had spent more time in Lagos, mainly because of this hostel. The vibe is amazing, fellow travellers and staff hang out together. The daily family dinner is always very good and nearly everyone joined, you'll quickly feel part of the family. The location is outside the center, which makes it easy to get good sleep. Everything is clean and the rooms are very spacious and the beds comfortable

Exactly what a hostel should be, Jason and the volunteers made everyone feel at home and curated a really fun environment. Also it is the perfect location for the beaches and the boardwalk. The hostel was so much fun that half the time I enjoyed hanging out on the terrace during my day with the other guests rather than going out. I cannot recommend banana beach house enough!

Die Atmosphäre im Hostel könnte nicht besser sein! Der Besitzer,die Mitarbeiter und auch die Volunteers machen diesen Ort zu etwas ganz besonderem!

Had the best time here during my time in Portugal. 4 minute walk from a beautiful beach. The atmosphere is very family oriented and everyone was so friendly. Felt safe and comfortable the whole time. Thanks to the owner and staff for making it the highlight of my trip.

Could not recommend this hostel more!! I stayed here 6 nights and ended up extending my stay for another 7. The vibe is amazing!! The hostel is extremely clean, and we could see the rooms, bathrooms and kitchen being deep cleaned daily. The beds are super comfy, there's laundry services and towels available for hire. Everyone became friends immediately and all hung out together on the hostel terrace and went to the beach together, and it's because the staff create such a nice space in the comm...

Great environment, super friendly people and a very cozy familiar feeling. Highly recommend. It was so hard to leave :(

The staff were friendly. Showers were clean most of the time. The beds were clean, but the walk behind the bed was gross. The hostel itself is super cute, but there’s no wifi on the outside seating area. It was very cute and homey though, which I appreciated
