Bellpark Hostel

DONT STAY HERE unless you’re poor or desperate. I was unfortunately ignorant. Spotty wifi, limited hot water, cheap uncomfortable cots on wire racks and over a filthy place. Mold in bathrooms and stains on walls. Charge you for luggage storage. It’s a 15 minute bus ride to the city center however it’s right by a lidl and migros which was nice. Staff was nice. I’ve realized all the great reviews of this place are from 3rd world people who must have been sleeping on a pile of newspapers b...

No lift & very basic hostel with zero vibes

A nice but very basic hostel and incredibly expensive for what you get. We stayed as a family of four in a room - squeaky bunk beds and dates en suite shower that you had to hold by hand. It did the job but so expensive but that’s Lucerne more than anything. Still, for the money paid, the hostel could be updating things a bit and reinvesting in the place.

Would not stay here again. Only plus is location near the Mt. Pilatus trail. The hostel felt rundown and overpriced. Shower door didn’t close, ceiling was peeling. Most concerning: I was in a mixed dorm with older men, one of whom stared at me and changed in front of everyone. Staff showed no concern when I asked to switch. As a solo female traveler, I didn’t feel safe or supported.

Really not much to say but I just would not recommend whatsoever. Dirty, cramped, little facilities. Unhygienic, smelly, small. Only benefits are the kitchen and the Lidl opposite

The entire place is filthy including the bedroom and private bathroom. The shower cubicle is held together by old, disgusting tape and one of the floor tiles was loose and squelchy from the shower, which doesn't drain. The bunks are cheap metal frames and squeaky as hell. The balcony is overgrown with weeds. All fixtures and fitting are dirty. The shared kitchen is also filthy and the entire place needs a refurb. I don't expect luxury in a hostel but I expect cleanliness as minimum. Abhorrent.

No toilet paper, loud, smelled like cigarettes even though it was supposed to be non smoking, it was gross.

It seems cheap but do not stay here. Will be worth spending a bit more money elsewhere. Dreadful compared to other hostels in Switzerland eg Zurich for the same price per night. Don’t expect the towel provided to be a bath towel… it’s barely a hand towel. No individual bed lights, poor socket availability, creakiest beds ever. Not sure my room was cleaned each day, loo roll was lacking all over the building. Shower head had to be precariously balanced to actually hit my body. Kitche...

The room smells like a cigarret, the shower floods because the drain is clogged due to they don't clean it. The light in the bathroom not works properly. I raised my claims to the hotel receptionist, but nothing happened. I wont never book again on this hostel.

Amaze. Everything you’d need in a hostel.

No warm water for shower and didn’t seem to clean.

Very friendly staff, very clean, great location especially for accessing Mount Pilatus, and cheap for Switerland. Only very small complaint is that the towels were a bit small!

It is a really good hostel. The rooms are good with alot of space. The only problem is that it is far away from centrum.

Swiss charm and Swiss prices...desperately needs hot water regualtor and the drains serviced...if you like showering in water that doesn't drain this is the place for you! No places open around area after 7, 15 minutes via tram outside main city...it's Switzerland what do you expect? Comfort? nah Complacency

Beautiful location in Lucerne with lots of hiking close by. pretty cheap for Switzerland. obviously no atmosphere as its quite rural and an older crowd but staff were friendly. mold in bathroom.

Great stay - love the kitchen

Overall alright stay. A bit pricey, but that’s Switzerland for you. Their showers could be nicer, maybe allow to have the shower nozzle to hang instead of dangling because as soon as the water is turned on it sprays everywhere.

Oh my God, best people there! Its like a dream. I loved the owners at the counter. They are so sweet and nice. So far, the best hotel in my lifetime. I would love to visit again but for more time and staying more at Bellpark Hostel. ❤️❤️🇬🇧🇨🇭

By far my least favorite hostel so far. The building is old, run-down, smelly, and kind of dirty. Reception lady is nice but she came into the room unannounced at 10pm to put new sheets on a bed, then two men opened the door at 10:30pm and peered in (one of them was checking in). I am a young girl and I was the only girl in the room for all 3 nights! They couldn’t have placed another girl in the room? Shower is horrible with no ventilation it’s hard to breathe in there. Great hostel, and a great price for Switzerland. Having the Lidl grocery store right accross the street was perfect for anytime you are hungry (except on Sundays when they are closed) it’s about a 40 minute walk from city centre. But the bus takes you down their quickly if you don’t want to walk. Hostel provides you with a bus ticket also, so the tranportation is free… bedsheet sne duvet cover provided when you arrive, so you know it’s clean!

Mi única crítica es que hay otra dirección en Lucerne. Hay otra calle Luzernerstrasse 23. Al otro extremo de la ciudad. Fuerade éso. Muy bueno

not worth the money. the walls in the rooms covered in numerous stains, with everything peeling off, dark and dirty bathroom covered in black mould as there is no window or fan in there, so you come out feeling less clean. in the bathroom things that should be fixed were just duct taped up. the beds were okay, squeaky but fine. downstairs area is okay, kitchen was okay, we just had ramen pots not trusting the cleanliness. easy bus route to centre hostel provide a pass and lidl across the road.

Great and quiet hostel. If you’re more into chill hostels this is the one. Great staff and clean rooms.
