best price value hostel ive ever been to. great breakfast and amazing host family!

The room was very big. It was far from the downtown. Yard was cute

No atmosphere and it’s difficult to meet people - fine if you’re already in a group but not good for solo travellers. There is a really nice communal area with hammocks etc but I didn’t see anyone using it. Staff were polite but not super friendly. They helped me arrange transport to my next destination and offered to rent me a scooter but there was no advice about tours, what to do on the island etc. My room was clean, but the bathroom was dirty and needs a proper deep clean.

We LOVED our stay at Hostel Papayago!! We were originally supposed to stay for one night and then decided to extend. The location is great, super close to the ferry. The family running the place is amazing, they’re super nice and made us feel very welcomed. They made us food in the morning and at night sometimes, got us a great price on scooters (15 USD/day), and offered us a room with AC and a TV where you can connect your Netflix. Would 100% visit again!

for me as a solo traveler not a great place. I booked for 3 nights but wanted to leave earlier. they did not let me unfortunately. people are nice and friendly overal.

Coole, preiswerte Unterkunft ohne viel Trubel. - Rollerverleih direkt vor Ort möglich. - Schwer zu finden, da andere Bilder bei Hostelworld hinterlegt sind - die neuen Zimmer sind aber noch besser als abgebildet. - sehr leckeres Frühstück - leider einige Ameisen im Bett..

Super nice quite place a bit out of the town but with very clean and good facilities. Staff super nice and very welcoming. Perfect place to chill at a very good price. Totally recommend!!!

We can really recommend staying in Hostel Papagayo! The owner was very friendly and rented us scooters for good price. The dogs were amazing!!! We fell in love with them ❤️

Decent hostel- location not ideal but if you have scooters it’s no problem. We negotiated scooters through hostel (recommended) for fifteen usd per day. More of a home stay than hostel with little atmosphere, however the host family are nice people.

This hostel was amazing, super cheap but still good quality. Owners were very helpful, and allow you to rent bikes at a fair price. My room was great, with a comfy bed good WiFi and fans to keep cool It’s about a 20 minute walk from the ferry, though this wasn’t a hard walk at all. I didn’t get the advertised free breakfast, and it’s very quiet so there wasn’t very many people to chat/socialise with, but still a fantastic hostel.

I'm not sure how I lucked into this, but I booked a massive private/bathroom/shower room here for like $10. Less than the cost of many dorms in Central America. An absolute backpacker dream. The staff were very friendly, and helped me with the ferry schedule. While it wasn't part of the reservation, they even brought me coffee and a large plate of tasty fruits in the morning. It's about a 20 min walk from Moyagalpa but not inconvenient.

Extremely friendly Owner, who helps you renting a scooter for good pricesand Makes you feel at home. Location is okay, nothing much around, but once you have a scooter it doesn't matter anyways. Prices are very very reasonable. Go there for a heartwarming and very affordable stay. would recommend definately

I had a great stay! The stuff is very nice and helpful. Every morning there is fresh coffee and fruits from the garden. They offer rentals of motorcycles and scooter and can organize tours for you.

Very friendly host! Possible to rent scooter and bikes at the hostel.
