Jongno Stay

I feel bad leaving a negative review because the host was genuinely very kind and caring. The hostel also felt safe and offered free laundry. Unfortunately, there was a overwhelmingly strong sewage/urine smell throughout the hostel and especially in the room, even with the window open 24/7. It was so strong that it woke me up in the mornings. The kitchen only had a microwave, the hostel was not social, there was no bathroom bin or hand soap, and the shower head had to be held by hand

Great if you finally want to sleep during your travels… super quiet! But the beds are a little excessively hard for my liking :/

Fantastic location & stay in Seoul. OG was the man, helped and gave great recommendations. I had a private accommodation the room was super cozy w en-suite. Highly recommend!

Good place for the price. Overwhelming sewage smell throughout the building. Bathroom supplied brushed overflowing with hair, only 2 bathrooms for dorms and they were very exposed/not private. Unclear if restroom was for both genders. No hooks to put anything in beds or bathrooms. Staff was kind and accommodating, minus the refusal to accept cards.

The Hostel is in a good location, doesn’t take long to the main sights. The host, OG, is very nice and accommodating. I like the privacy curtains on the beds, power outlet, little mirror and shelf. There also is enough storage space for luggage and a locker is provided as well. The automatic lock is quite loud though which makes it hard to stay as quiet as possible if you need to open and close it. The atmosphere in the Hostel doesn’t really allow for connections, everyone keeps to themselve...

The room is really good and the management (OG) is amazing. The best place to stay in Seoul

We had a wonderful stay and I would recommend it to anyone. The common area was really nice, we enjoyed that there was a tv (which we never saw it an hostel before). There was a lot of storage in the room and we also had a locker outside, which was also great. The bathroom was really clean. Location was good too.

Good location, close to the city centre. Friendly staff. Nice common areas, but the cash only payment policy feels a bit inconvenient.

Great hostel for staying in Seoul. Great location close to a number of tourist attractions and well connected by public transport but still in a calm, quiet area. OG was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you could need and the whole property is very clean, safe and comfortable. Nice quiet atmosphere in the hostel which I really appreciated. Highly recommend!

The hostel is made with the guest in mind, great facilities and very clean. Would stay again! A bit of a quieter hostel vibe but maybe because it is the off-season in winter.

OG was awesome. I was well taken care of and the facilities / rooms were clean and comfortable. Would book again!

J'ai beaucoup aimé cette auberge. Elle est très bien situé non loin du palais Changgyeonggung et de la rivière Cheonggyecheo. Le propriétaire est très réactif par mail avant l'arrivée pour toute question. Il est très gentil et attentif. Ma chambre était très propre et agréable. Je reviendrai sans hésiter !

Great location, really easy to get around to all the major sites. Bed was comfy, had great storage underneath and a handy light/powerpoint/shelf/cupboard as well, plus great curtain for privacy.

Very convenient hostel located in central Seoul, close to the two main palaces and places like Ikseon-dong, Insadong and even Euljiro. About a ten minute walk to the closest subway station. The place is run by the very helpful OG, and I think he does this completely by himself. All facilities are there. My (private) room was clean and even had a little kitchen. Only remark I have is that this isn't a party hostel. There are common spaces that are cosy, but they were quiet.

Das Hostel war super, ich als Alleinreisende habe ich mich sehr wohl darin gefühlt. Der Besitzer ist ein so lieber Mensch.

JongnoStay is very clean, close to public transport and has good kitchen/common area facilities. The manager OG goes above and beyond to make sure all the guests have a great stay!
