M Box Gili Trawangan

One of the worst hostels I’ve stayed at. It's dirty, noisy (loud music and construction), and the bathrooms are in bad shape with no hot water. The sheets are filthy and torn, and the rooms are stuffy with barely any AC. Definitely won’t stay here again.

this is one of the most disgusting hostels i have ever stayed in. dirty underpants hanging in the shower room for days on end, and on the floor in multiple shower cubicles. there was something brown smeared across my headboard and the wall behind my bed. the bathrooms are just generally disgusting, bins always full and the floor in the actual cubicles always wet. the music in the common area is so loud it’s impossible to have a conversation, even at 11 in the morning. there was only one decent...

Horrendous. We had blood stains on our bed sheets and when we asked for new ones they also had some disgusting stains in all type of colors…

Shower and toilet facilities were consistently dirty, with leaking plumbing everywhere, including sewage from toilets. Half of the showers had terrible water pressure, making it difficult to even rinse off properly. The pool was filthy and green with algae and social area was small, really unwelcoming, and smelt like wet dog. People were only ever social in the evenings when they were drunk, making this one of the worst hostel experiences we’ve had so far.

The hostel is dirty and noisy. Mold is growing all over the walls, mushrooms are growing out of the wooden doors. The walls are thin like cardboard so you can hear everything being said in the rooms next to you. Many faucets in the bathroom are not working and there is no warm water. Definitely better places to stay on the island for the same price. The staff and location are great! And it is also nice that there is a security guard during the night.

Pretty runned down. Breakfast wasn’t included like many others. Didn’t feel super clean and communal bathrooms so wasn’t enjoyable. Wouldn’t stay there again.

I got salmonella food poisoning from the hostel and had to go to hospital (and I know with 100% certainty it was from M Box because I only ate food and chicken while in Gili T from there)... It doesn't surprise as hostel is SO dirty. The rooms and the toilets was so disguisting I had to move to another party hostel. The social atmosphere was very good, but not ideal if you're a solo traveller. People only stay in groups.

Firstly we booked a female dorm and there was none available so had to stay in male dorms and use the females bathrooms on the other side of the hostel. There was a big fight in the dorm next to us at 4.30-5.30am. Security didn’t know how to handle it and made us feel very unsafe. Walls are super thin so may aswell be in a 20 dorm not a 3. We complained next day and the staff on reception was laughing and didn’t even apologise. I’m trying to get a full refund. Both nights we stayed was a...

This place is just literally the best. Hands downs the best hostel I’ve ever been to. Staff are incredible. Eloisa, Tiaga, Tilly, T, Hannah, FinnRapson make the place such a welcoming place.

This hostel is very sociable, thanks to the welcoming reps (particularly Hannah) who know how to throw a party. Don’t let Finn slap your ass, it is fun at the time but you could be a left with a bruise. I’ve absolutely loved it here, it’s perfect and I wish I could stay longer.

What a legendary hostel. Get your drinking shoes on always a party and good vibes. Big shout outs to best reps T, T-Pot, Finn, Lulu, Tiaga.

Finn Rapson and Hannah are the best reps on the island ever!!! Made the environment so fun and entertaining for everyone! Really enjoyed our stay. Hope to see them again!

Loved my time here honestly one of my favs hostels in Asia, after travelling for 8 months!! Reps are lovely and fun big thanks to Hannah, Tilly, fin, T, taiga, and ipoy Games and prizes are amazing, including free nights and drinks. I can really see how people get stuck here so long - such a sweet family yet social vibe

Mbox is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in such a good vibe and atmosphere. All the reps are legendary and extremely friendly and will make you have the best experience whist you’re there. 10/10 for everything will defo be going back!!

M Box is by far the best hostel I’ve stayed at! From the moment you walk in, the reps make you feel welcome, and the happy hours hit different here. During the day, everyone’s either playing card games, chilling by the pool, or getting ready for the night ahead. At night, the hostel really comes alive, and the reps make sure nobody feels left out of the party. Massive shoutout to Hannah, Taiga, Emma, Tilly, Eloisa, and Ipoy — absolute legends who know how to create a good time.

Oh my gosh I don’t think you understand how amazing this hostel is until you have stayed here. The hostel itself is really clean(nicest I’ve found in a while)and has AMAZING food but it is the staff and reps that are my true highlights, making it extremely social. Everyone is really nice here, the staff and the reps. I love the security guards so much that I bought a matching top with them. The dinner being free is awesome. The party is always good. The reps really look after you here, Hannah has been a very good babysitter when I have taken it too far on nights out. This is the best hostel ever and I will miss this place ):

Great place to stay, walking distance from everything! Meeting new people was super easy thanks to the incredible reps (shout out to Emma). It’s super affordable, the dorm price, food and drinks. If you stay here, you may be convinced to get Hannah’s name tattooed on you, but she’s the coolest person I’ve ever met so it’s worth it for the story. And tequila sunrise is THE SPOT!!!!

Mbox is the most social and friendly hostel I have ever stayed at. The reps create an awesome vibe with games, activities and free family dinner every night. Especially Gianna were so welcoming and making sure to get everyone involved in activities. Hannah is a wonderful person with the highest amount of energy every day and at night! If Hannah was a dolphin I would still hang out with her in the sea everyday!!

It’s my 2nd time visiting M Box & once again I had the best time ever. I stayed for 2 weeks and loved the friendly atmosphere from all the reps and staff. Really sad to be leaving, but I’ll definitely be back ASAP to see everyone! Special shoutout to Eloisa, I’ll miss her the most ⭐️⭐️

Unreal gaff. Great reps and literally the best place on earth - you will extend. Hannah will love you if you’re a big French man.

We stayed for 5 days and it was a really good hostle with really nice people and the staff was the best as well I highly recommend

This is easily the best hostel I’ve been to. The lay out of the pool and social area makes it super easy to chat to everyone and meet new people, there events are always loads of fun and really inclusive. Huge shout out to Ipoy’s dance moves for getting the party started at the bar. All the reps are great; Hannah, Rupert, Emma, Gianna & Guy. If you’re not to sure who Hannah is you can usually find her eating a Bunnings snag with knife and fork!
