The House Hostel

I wouldn’t recommend the House Hostel for travellers or backpackers. It’s okay clean but there is very bad and unfriendly communication and the rooster is insanely loud from 5-10 AM (just next to your door). Definitely one of my worst stays!

The room was quite outdated and there was green mould in the bathroom, the mattress was in a very bad condition. Anyway, pancakes were delicious, AC worked perfectly and it was overall clean (bedding actually gets washed, not like in other cheap hostels). Staff was helpful!

Owner was so so lovely and helpful with recommendations, that was so appreciated. His banana pancakes are a great way to start the day! The vibe at hostel was social too, (even in the off-peak time that I went) and was definitely not a party hostel which is exactly what I wanted. Intimate and cosy which was great. Only downside is the bathrooms are very basic and bed was very lumpy/sinking into the middle, so would recommend for very short term stays.

Very run down Hostel. Bed was very uncomfortable. Plug sockets seemed to be quite weak? No lock in the dorm room. Lockers were outside and no lock on the gate to the street so didn’t feel safe putting my things in the locker. No social vibe at all. 1 bunk and 1 single bed so 3 to a room felt really strange. Shower was weak and toilet was on a weird platform. Smelt damp. Breakfast and tea/coffee included but I did not have these.

The staff were really nice, breakfast was good, the beds don’t have curtains so if you like privacy then it’s not the best but overall a nice stay

Ein bisschen weiter Inland aber dafür ruhiger Ort. War bei mir kein grosser Social Vibe aber war eh auf dem Absprung.

A great place to stay if you want something nice and chill. Very sweet staff and best banana pancakes! Be aware that there is no locks on the doors but otherwise it was a nice place

I had a lovely stay at this hostel on Gili T. It’s a beautiful, traditional Indonesian house with a warm atmosphere. Everything was perfectly arranged, from the clean rooms to the small thoughtful details (espacially the little snacks). The staff were very kind and made me feel right at home. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back!

The staff was incredibly kind and helpfull with all kind of problems or questions. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need. The bananapancakes fot breakfast were also really good. Would definitly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay, the staff is amazing! They are so attentive and friendly, and the pancakes were delicious! We didn’t have warm water but we didn’t mind. We had a private room and it was spacious and clean. Will definitely come here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Candra is a great host, very nice to talk to, and makes delicious pancakes in the morning. The place was very chill overall. We enjoyed our stay, be aware of the noisy mosque :p

The House has to be one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. A small but well-kept oasis tucked into the local inland of Gili T, perfect for escaping the touristic streets. The host, Candra, and his staff, Ferry, are peaceful, pleasant, welcoming, and helpful. Rooms are well kept, clean, and A/C’d. Banana pancake breakfasts are something to look forward to every morning and the adorable cats are the cherry on top. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a peaceful stay.

This place has that chill vibe where you can relax for a long time. The owner works hard to maintain the place and is a genuinely good guy. If you love pancakes, coffee and cats to start your morning this is the place for you

Had a lovely stay. Very easy, very convenient. One of the cleanest hostels I’ve ever been to, and the I’ve forgotten the man’s name but he was lovely and so helpful too.

After a week of partying, it was time for some rest. This place is clean, quiet, and the rooms are very comfortable. If you’re looking for an inexpensive room and an early, quiet night, this is the spot

If you’re looking for a chill hostel with a familiar atmosphere on an island which can be overwhelming like Gili T this is the place to be. We really enjoyed our stay - one of the best hostels I’ve been so far. Always chill music, lovely cats and amazing stuff. Felt really welcomed. Best banana pancakes in the morning!
