as a solo female traveler, i felt extremely unsafe here. the beds are awful and creaky, there are no outlets nearby the beds in the rooms, showers are moldy, there were strange sketchy people in the dorms. i got charged an extra $40 usd and had to ask for a refund once i noticed. the area montmartre is nice but once i arrived here i regretted having 4 nights booked and nearly left despite them not offering cancellation refunds. staff was friendly but felt very unsafe with the people

The pictures and the actual hostel are miles apart. The communal area doesn’t look like the pictures at all and it stinks.

En general la actitud del personal fue bastante grosera en la llegada, lamento mucho que haya tenido un mal día pero el cliente no tiene porqué recibir tratos nefastos. La cantidad de dinero que se paga por noche es únicamente por la ubicación, claramente. La estancia en un lugar hacinado, sin acceso a un casillero ni la mas mínima seguridad, ni aire acondicionado, no lo vale. Lamento mucho la experiencia que tuve en este hostal, no lo volveré a utilizar.

Not safe for females traveling solo or in groups of 2

I arrive to the hostel and they told me they cancel my reservation even though I pay an amount of money to save my place. They didn’t respect my reservation and cancel it . Let it me no where to stay at night, I literally was homeless and trying to look for another place to stay, the staff guy was really nice and helped me look for another place. I send an email asking for asking if they can gave me back the amount of money that I pay to save my place (that at the end didn’t work for anythi...

I had the worst experience in this place. I booked 2 nights in a 4 bed mixed room and on my last night, I came back to the hostel to find that somebody was sleeping on my bed and all the beds in the dorm room were full. I went down to the reception who told me that apparently his colleague did a mistake and beat that he can do is to move me to another hostel a few blocks away. I was devastated, I had an early flight and could barely get any sleep after all that hassle.

I paid through website and realized after I got to the hostel, that my roommates were paying lower than me. Not sure why there is such a huge difference in pricing, but I didn’t feel it was fair

Excellent check in and welcome by Natalia, and clean - well laid out dorms were wonderful experience. The hotel night staff was helpful in planning our visit to Eiffel tower, and guest kitchen had all facilities for our cooking needs. Hotel manager was very hositable and we will certainly recommend La Village Montmarte, given its excellent service and proximity to St Bascilica, Metro station etc

good location (a bit far from the center but w/ good food spots). I dont like that the bed dont have curtains, and the bedbunks are weak and make a lot of noise ! Its not social at all since they dont have social activities going on. Theres no kitchen too which I dont like. But I'd stay here again

Las camas están FATALES y las sábanas manchadas; los “colchones” son colchonetas delgadas y hundidas, CERO recomendable.

I liked the location. Eastly access to Gare du Nord and metro line to Paris landmarks. The staff is nice and helpful. It's not a party hostel. The environment is quiet and people were respectul. The dorms by the terrace could use an upgrade. Especially the beds. They're wobbly and unstable, make lot of noise when moving. Overall I recommend it if you're looking for resonable pricing, good location and quiet place to stay

A terrible experience. On my second day, my iPad, iPhone, and money were stolen directly from my locker, which I had locked myself. Similarly, another guy in the room had his tattoo machine stolen from his backpack after the lock was forced. I went to reception to check the security cameras, but they told me it couldn't be done until Monday, when the manager was on duty. The theft occurred on Saturday. The lockers are useless, and the staff never offered me any help. The hostel is negligent.

Great location, nice staff, cleanliness could be improved but globally very good stay.

The hostel was ok. The white sheets were clean for bedding but the blankets were covered in hairs. The room had a window that opened onto the terrace and thus it smelled of smoke in the room. The location is good, and has a view of the sacre coer. The bed was not comfortable and was squeaky.

Beautiful location, felt very safe, only one block away from Sacre-Coeur. Lots of cute shops, restaurants, and cafés within one or two blocks. The hostel has a lovely terrace with lots of cozy seating. The staff was friendly and helpful and there are lots of places to rest before your check-in. My main issue was that the beds are uncomfortable, they only give you one pillow and you have to put the sheets on yourself. There is also only one shower/bathroom for the 4 person dorm.

Location is amazing, with wonderful and nice staffs. The balcony faced the Sacre Cour. The room was decent, all cleaned and relatively spacious for a group of 4 travelling for a few days.

Place and the staff boyh are just great! Montmartre is a beautiful neighborhood comparing the other parts of Paris, restaurants are close and they have delicious food. Hostel is close to metro so getting somewhere is bot an issue. Probably will choose same place if I go to Paris again

Not a great hostel. I booked a 4 bedroom room and it smelt so bad. Facilities are lacking, and don’t expect to be able to cook anything. Ensuite bathrooms have large gaps under the doors so everyone can hear someone in the bathroom during the night. The only good thing about this hostel is its location next to the sacre cour. Would recommend paying a bit more in Paris and getting a decent hostel!

The price is too high for what they really offer. Otherwise all ok

The rooms were spacious, although not every bed had an outlet and there was a strange smell in the room. The location was pretty good as it’s right by Le Sacré-Cœur and 25 minutes on the metro to the city-centre. Also the terrace was very nice! I didn’t love that you lock the doors yourself but there’s a lock to get to the rooms and 24 hour security.

Gute Lovation und freundliches Personal. Die Betten sind jedoch sehr unbequem und quitschen bei jeder kleinsten Bewegung. Ein Bett im Dorm wurde doppelt belegt, was mitten in der Nacht für Unruhe sorgte.

Pros: decent location (near Sacre Coeur) and has a grocery store right next door, small lockers provided (enough to fit a backpack), and outdoor terrace area too Cons: bathroom smelt straight up like urine everyday (en-suite) and water never really got hot. No outlets available for some beds to charge so you share outlets, beds squeak all night Overall, ok for the price, staff was nice but didn’t give any information about amenities or go out of their way to help

Ostello dotato di tutto il necessario. Posizione ottima ai piedi del Sacre Coeur. Supermercati vicino, quartiere vivace e affascinante.

Très très bien placé, quartier très animé. Chambre et literie confortables, salle de bain privée, ascenseur. Petite terrasse donnant sur le sacré-choeur.
