Hotel Mirador del Lago

Friendly owners, basic but perfect for the price and 2 nights. Had a private room, enjoyed the calm vibe.

This is a great spot to book for some privacy while on the island. I actually booked a bed here and also booked at Ahua Tikal just to have a space to get changed, and showered, sleep private, but also could head over to Ahua Tikal and enjoy the awesome atmosphere..

Very impressed with the value for money, we had a basic room with an en-suite however we had a balcony just a few yards away from the lake with an amazing view. The hostel didn’t really have an atmosphere and was very quiet didn’t see anyone else there the night we stayed however the value for money is amazing with a perfect view of the lake, this place has so much potential just needs a bit of sprucing up some fresh decor and upgrade with the kitchen. Definitely recommend for the value.

Un hôtel simple, bien placé sur l'île de Florès. Chambre basique avec salle d'eau. Matelas confortable. Cuisine commune et terrasse donnant sur le lac. L'hôtel a un bon potentiel mais il semble avoir vécu et les installations sont peu entretenues.. dommage. L'essentiel à petit prix pour Florès.

A cheaper option in Flores Pros: - a cheaper price compared to other flores hostels - friendly staff Cons: - the kitchen is in rather poor condition and the utensils were verging on filthy. One of the reasons people choose hostels is for the kitchen facilities. The kitchen and amenities should be regularly cleaned.

al llegar quisieron cobrar de mas. me cambiaron 2 veces de habitación porque las regaderas de servian. zero recomendable

The hostel was not clean at all! Also i booked a mixed dorm for multilple people but they put me in a room for two people only with another men. I didn’t feel safe there. I would not recommend this hostel.

Pros: The view is amazing, right by the lake. Cheap. The staff organised tours and shuttles for us at a really good price. Cons: The room smelled really bad - kind of drain/eggy. The bathroom door sounded like chewbacca The room was dingy. Some unusual characters around.

Nice lake views, but very warm rooms. There is a fan per bed but it is full of dust. My pillow had hard balls in it, it was not comfortable. Fine for a short stay with a nice terrace but nothing more.

Perfekte Basis um auszuruhen und die leichte Windbriese vom See zu genießen. Ich bin 3x dorthin gefahren, weil von Flores aus sowohl Tikal, im Osten Belize und im Süden der Rio Dulce erreichbar sind. Empfehlenwert.

Ein top Preis Leistungsverhältnis! Die Lage ist hervorragend und die Aussicht vom Balkon auf den See einfach wunderbar. Alleine dafür muss man die Unterkunft schon buchen. Das Zimmer war super aber nicht komplett sauber, das Waschbecken hatte leider eine gute Schmutz Schicht angesammelt. Dazu war das kostenlose Wasser häufig leer und hat auch nicht besonders gut geschmeckt. Doch bei diesem günstigen Preis würde ich die Unterkunft definitiv weiterempfehlen.

Very cheap, and for the price, kind of okay. But it's not really clean, there's no air conditioning, and there are no lockers. The worst part, though, was the staff. They felt like scammers, trying to squeeze every last coin out of you. When I arrived, I had to pay more than expected. The owner claimed it was due to taxes, but the Hostelworld listing said taxes should be 15%, while she charged me over 25%. I wasn’t the only one—other guests had the same issue, and the attitude was basical...

Good location, good value. Rooms aren’t particularly great and not the cleanest. Really nice view of the lake. Staff try to charge you way more than you’re supposed to- they add 2 taxes which is fair but then try and add another 15% on top of that and then the lady threw a strop when I disputed it. Luckily I spoke to the owner after who resolved it

Private room for a couple of night. Good location, basic but clean. Staff were friendly. Big fan in room to keep you cool (Flores is hot!) and AC was an optional extra in the room I was in (was quite steep cost though and I found the fan enough)

The door didn’t lock (even I could just bump it open easily) and they did nothing about it, just pretended like there was nothing wrong and said it was safe anyway so it wouldn’t matter (they don’t have lockers either in the room or anywhere). Also booked a dorm and just got a small 2 person room to share with a stranger, which was a bit intense, and the kitchen wasn’t good.

One of the best places I’ve been to so far. The views are breathtaking. There is a kitchen available to cook. You cook while overlooking amazing lake views. The hosts are amazing, Mimi is so kind and cheerful The hostel is not too crowded but there is a family vibe around. Everyone gets along. Wish I had more time to stay here. Pleasant stay. Mad views. The lady running the hotel is lovely and let me check out late after the sunrise Tikal tour, only charged me half a day to extend until 6pm and not for a full night which was kind and considerate. It’s a lovely space in great location, would recommend - cheaper than los amigos too
