situé loin en haut du village, dur d'accès, surtout que ça monte ! vraiment emplacement bof, seul truc c'est que c'est proche de la statue de la marie a aller voir. sinon cuisine très basique, et ambiance un peu bizarre le soir, peut être que c'est du a l'éclairage d'un blanc hopital dans l'espace commun. Le personnel est super sympa et serviable, même si il y a aucune ambiance a l'auberge, c'est ultra chill.

très bon hôtel pour se reposer, le personnel est super ! les lieux magnifique, accès avec du dénivelé n'hésitez pas à prendre un taxi c'est pas chère

This is such a gem of a hostel & community project!! I only wish I had more time to enjoy the gardens and yoga deck space they have.

One of the best hostel where I ever stayed, staff is really nice, you can do a hike from the property and its just the perfect place to escape if you need a break from the cities and heat. The coffee was also really nice there.

I really enjoyed my stay! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Facilities are great and kitchen is well-equipped. The location is far from the center but close to nature! There are a lot of books, travel guids, board games etc. available. Would highly recommend!

Amazing place in the middle of green nature and a garden. Loved the atmosphere. But it was a steep way up and down to the city.

I loved the stay here. it's good if you speak a bit of spanish to make communication with the people there easier. I loved the location, even though the walk to and from town is a workout in itself

Das erreichen des Hostels braucht viel Schweiss, da es steil bergauf geht. Aber es lohnt sich!! Die Natur, die Atmosphäre & die Sonnenuntergänge sind ein absolutes Highlight. Das Personal ist super freundlich & ich hatte einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt da. Ich empfehle eine minimum von drei Nächten. Es kann auch gut mal nur ein Tag gechillt werden da.

Gelegen midden in de natuur en super vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Op zich een heel fijne plaats om te zijn. Alleen de locatie viel voor ons wat tegen. De hostel ligt boven op een stijle berg. De weg ernaar toe is in slechte staat en veel taxichauffeurs kennen de plaats niet. Hierdoor willen ze je of helemaal niet brengen doordat ze geen prijs kunnen berekenen, of kunnen ze je maar een stuk omhoog brengen. Hierdoor moet je nog een deel wandelen, wat volgens locals niet echt veilig is.

Loved our stay :) the property is so beautiful with plenty of birds like hummingbirds and even the infamous Motmot. Matagalpa itself is not super pretty but there’s lots to do in the sourrundinh mountains. Would stay for 3 nights again

Beautiful location very clean. You have to hike up a steep hill not all taxis in town will take you to the top of the hill but it's worth the effort. Quiet seclusion awaits at the top. Best to bring your food source from the market in matagalpa. Staff were friendly and helpful. Absolutely clean they make a effort to educate all guests about the local flaura and fawna. After my initial stay I have extended for another week. This place is heavenly and just one great hostel. The staff will treat you like familly and they run many programs such as English classes for local kids. I can't recommend matagalpa highly enough and when visiting there is no other place but this beautiful abode. Just keep in mind it's a nice steep walk up the mountain and try not to do make the first visit at night as you might get a little lost as I did.

Aguali is an incredible place! Everything about the hostel space is well thought out and nice to spend time in. It’s up on a hill above the city, making it the perfect space to rest and connect with nature. But, the best of all were the people here. The woman running the hostel was so kind and welcoming, making the stay even better. Also, the hostel helps runs some social programs on the weekends and the volunteers were incredibly friendly and funny! Overall, 11/10 stay

super nice hostel, nearby the city and nature!!!

If you love nature this place is perfect. They have a walking trail beginning from the property where I saw a wild capybara (very cool) and heaps of different birds. They also have the most stocked kitchen I've used in central america. The beds are comfy, staff are friendly, rooms are clean, balcony is perfect to hang out on, you can't go wrong choosing this.

Great oasis of a hostel to stay in just outside Matagalpa. Lovely gardens and surroundings but the walk up to the hostel from Matagalpa is incredibly steep - if arriving to the bus station, take a taxi as far as you can!

I couldn't recommend this place more, definitely one of the most beautiful hostels I have been to! You see the love they have put in every detail and you are surrounded by nature, getting the most beautiful sunset views (making well worth the walk up the hill!). The dorms are superclean with comfy mattresses and the staff is absolutely wonderful and knows the area very well. I was also able to get a delicious Nica breakfast with fruit from their organic garden. Will definitely be back here!
