Lucky Backpackers Hostel Vientiane

The staff were rude when we arrived and clicked at us for our passports. The AC in our room was leaking so there was a big puddle on the floor and our bags got wet. The toilets were disgusting, none of the doors locked and the toilets didn't flush. The toilets and bathroom area smelt so bad that we had to hold our noses. The breakfast was fine.

Avoid - dirty and disgusting. If I’d have been in a dorm I would have left immediately. Filled with creepy men. Stayed one night and left early. As we left a man was yelling at and threatening staff with a beer bottle. Do not go here

- disgusting, moldy, roof leaking, dirty, filthy bathrooms - paid for one night with cash, website says they take card- but staff member refused. they ALSO didnt have change, and never ended up giving me my change even when i asked for it so i overpaid grossly for such a disgusting experience. - staff clearly didn't wanna be there, very off putting too - bed was grimy and i would believe it if someone told me the sheets were reused

Il personale gentilissimo e cordialissimo, disponibile per ogni tua esigenza. Le camere non sono messe benissimo e nemmeno i bagni ma è stato un soggiorno piacevole

WORST HOSTEL I’VE STAYED IN!!!!! I checked out 2 hours after arriving due to how awful it was. The whole place was dirty and the room had a horrible smell. One of the members of staff made me feel really uncomfortable as they were clearly high and asked me if I take drugs. When he spoke to me he kept looking me up and down and watched me walk away. He also would just let himself into our room without knocking first. This is the first time on my travels I’ve ever felt unsafe. Do not stay here...

Worst hostel I have ever stayed in. Really dirt, rooms were very very small. Staff were not very nice. Woke up in the middle of the night because people made loud noises. Last but not least there were a stank of weed in my room!

The reception was friendly. A friend + I only stayed one night since everywhere else was booked. Breakfast was good. Love the location!!! Luckily our 6 bed dorm was all solo female vibes. Unfortunately, most of the guests were a huge group of Indian guys. They made us all very uncomfortable. Our room was closest to the toilet, they hung outside our door + showers/toilets all night. Friend woke up at 3:30am to tell them to shut up they were so loud + disrespectful to others sleeping nearby

Honestly kinda gross… bugs everywhere. We ended up switching to a hotel halfway through. Amazing location and cheap though.

After arriving, my friend and I stayed for all of about 5 minutes in our dorm before deciding to escape the property(and the stench of it) and explore the town due to how uncomfortable we felt. The bathroom floors were also completely wet and so disgusting that I decided to wait until I arrived at my next hostel to take a shower. Just don’t stay here. That simple. There’s so many better options for only $2-5 more. That are much better

Mattress comfy and clean enough. Curtains are all broken , balconies need a clean, bathrooms are good , aircon didn’t work was super hot, but mostly couldn’t sleep a wink with vibrations being felt by clubs all night. Overall cheap if you don’t mind putting up with noise that even headphones can’t cancel. No kitchen .

I enjoyed being here. They accomadatwd me well.As I am disabled they put me In another hotel for the first night to provide me with aground floor room. The only thing I as disappointed with was the city tour. I complained about the city tour because they took me to a museum and I could not access the steps. I went to the museum over the road and tried to find the driver. I had to phone the hotel for him to come and get me. When I tried to stop him to take pictures of temples He told me later

Very bad experience .. would not recommend to a dog.. very bad staff so ignorant and not helpful.. firstly they couldn’t not locate our booking so asked us to walk to their partner hotel, room had dirt in the beds, flies in the room and smells from the toilet.. when asking could we move room we were ignored and told there was no more rooms when clearly there was.. when asking to speak to the manager he would not even meet. Would highly recommend not to go anywhere near this place.

When we arrived we were told there was no space at the hostel, despite them having us booked in, and were moved to a sister hotel down the road. This was in a different twin room with no window and damp inside the room - plus they overcharged us on it!
